• Pony Birthday Cake Kits On the Way!

    A bunch of MLP Cake accessories are on the way!  A brony named Pony Stark who works at a bakery sent me this image and a few links from a catalog called Bakery Crafts 2011

    I really want that Applejack spork... if only to break it off and have a molded Applejack toy!

    Now go have pony birthday parties and send me pictures! Charge!

      I have no doubt some baker is going to put Twilight and Applejack a little too close together on at least one cake.

      Cake critique:
      Pros -
      - Simple design. Won't have to be a master cake decorator to look nice.
      - Good toys. (Though I agree, it would be better to use the toys straight from the Celestia 5-set to save money.)
      - Easy to recognize.

      Cons:
      1. The 'Step Above' cake has nowhere to write. Designers should always always leave space for writing names and such.
      2. The CK kit looks pretty good, but has way too many icing colors required. I'm counting 7 color changes for 1 cake. Air brush designs are much more economical for multi-color cakes.

      Better than a lot of cake kits out there, but I would rather see one done with the 5-set bought at the toy store instead.

      If anyone out there goes looking for these and they -aren't- in the store-book with all their other cake kits you can usually special-request that they order them for you from the Bakery Crafts book. Most bakeries only pick and choose to stock specific kits, but they can usually order any of them from the book upon request. (Company Policy) Of course, this means you're going to have to say "GIMME PONY CAKE" :P

      I want that AJ Spoon so bad. Been trying to subtly get my manager to order these kits for our next shipment. saying stuff like:

      "I hear this new show's pretty popular from my aunt."

      or, "I just had two customers in here asking for these kits."

      both are super-lies.. but I want a Pinkie Ring (HA!) and an AJ Spoon. I want to eat my Apple Jacks with Applejack! D:
