A completely random off the wall source has told us that there is a small pony reference in The Cleveland show that airs at 7:30 PM Pacific today. He even gave us a picture for it!
Feel free to go try to find it. By small, I mean really small, so you will have to pay close attention for it (And it has nothing to do with Derpy) This was done way back when the fandom was new (That's how long these things take to create!), so it's pretty minor, but this could be fun for some of you!

Instead of thanking the gesture of getting referenced in a famous show, no, you start flaming the show instead... everytime someone shows us some affection you go and rage at them... where the hell is the love and tolerance? I guess some people are here just because it's cool and not for the show some of us love. Fuck off, all of you haters, those are not the teachings of MLP: FiM. Some times I just think this fandom is getting too big.

ReplyDeleteExcuse you, but there's a difference between proper love and tolerance which shows acknowledgement that there are different types of people and showing them the respect they deserve by not using certain types of words, and suppressing dissenting opinions of other shows or episodes. I don't like The Cleveland Show, and that's my opinion of it. It's cool and everything if an outside source references ponies, but we shouldn't beholden outsiders to continually give nods and nudges and shouldn't wig out when it does happen and put the reference on a pedestal enough to change one's opinion of said source.

Beggars can't be choosers. Everytime someone makes a reference to bronies or the show, someone goes "Oh no, not lady Gaga she's terrible." "Oh not MAD, they suck. They don't deserve to reference us." "Cleveland Show? Gross, they're pieces of shit, I don't want them to have anything to do with us."
Quite frankly, the sense of self-entitlement some fans are getting from watching this series is appalling. They should be grateful anyone even bothered to give us a shout out in the first place, because they could have just as easily passed up that chance.
Would it really kill any of you to so much as say "Thank you?" Even if you hate MAD or the Cleveland Show?

ReplyDeleteI dislike that show myself. It's just not a great spin-off show, sorry. Then again, many aren't I suppose. Spin-offs are tough.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a few moments to notice it. I was about to give up (cause I'm lazy like that lol) until I noticed the letters on the board Cleveland is holding up. Very small reference indeed.
