I don't talk to/subscribe to people because of their age or gender or whether I know them in real life. I interact based on common interests and intelligence, without any other bias. This is the gift that the internet has given us.

What really worries me, is that some creep ass jerk start being rude, or indeed, creepy as fuck with her AND scare her off, I know I wouldn't like that, nobody really would. I just hope that her parents control it as well as herself, so they can take action against any unwelcome person that may appear.

I'm really not so sure that posting this was a good idea. Now, don't get me wrong; I'm actually pretty confident in the basic decency of most bronies, and to judge from the comments I've seen here and on her video, everyone's been either behaving themselves very well, or behaving themselves very well and worrying that someone might not behave well. There's a lot of social pressure in play to make folks behave in a decent manner, and I'd be surprised if anything unpleasant happening.
ReplyDeleteBut...This is a child, who was surprised and gratified to get ~100 subscribers. And now she's gotten THOUSANDS, many of them crowing and cheering her as some fabulous wünderkind. She's talented, sure, and she's done excellent work on the show, and I really like her mane yadda yadda yadda. But no ego needs this, and particularly not an ego which is even less likely to be able to withstand this kind of fawning adoration than your typical adult (and plenty of adults would be horribly susceptible to something like this). Again, she's a kid; she doesn't need to be turned into a celebrity.
Have you guys seen some off the comments on kyrospawn videos ??....

She even listed her age as 21 despite that she's obviously younger than that, to give her an air of anonymity for the sake of safety on the internet.
For the record, I'd also like to say that I've seen absolutely NO comments that are even remotely worth worrying about, save for comments made by idiots who think that the entire internet is out to vandalize her channel.
Claire does my favorite voice on the entire show, and at first I thought the fact that she posted this video was nice, and it was cool to see the person behind my favorite voice. But worrywarts like yourself and many others on this site have ruined it for me.
