Oh my god, this is freaking AWESOME. This crossover is just so freaking brilliant. All the pony/place puns are awesome, the writing is great, and it manages to capture the characters of the series well while at the same time delivering the sense of inevitable disaster and comedy that The Hangover did. The drunk/hangover descriptions from the second chapter are pretty spot on, I have to say.

Never even heard of The Hangover but it sounds like this is more of a fusion than a crossover (like the majority of so-called crossover fics for FiM)
Still, love it so far, especially as someone who lives in Vegas.

Supernatural would be quite difficult to do, seeing as how there are only two main characters in that show, and six ponies in this.

Yeah, that was pretty fun.
So Applejack lost her hat. Rainbow seems to have had a night of fun with some stallion and may now even be forming babby. Rarity went and got a tattoo. Pinkie Pie... is Pinkie Pie. And Twi's so drunk that she can't use magic properly.
Shaping up to be quite a ride...
Although, I feel the need to mention, I find it really hard to believe that there's no such thing as a tattoo removal spell, or that one can't be invented when Twilight gets her magic back once she's over the hangover. I think Rarity is overreacting. Then again, it's in her character to have a tendency to overreact, so...
I have seen the Hangover, one of my favorite movies cause it is one of few movies I have to pause cause I am laughing way too hard. And this story hit the nail on the head! Everyone is right on cue with their reactions, I can't wait to see their reactions when other ponies start asking them questions about last night!

As to Queen-Beyond-the-Wall, it's a reference to the Song of Ice and Fire book series (now an awesome HBO show!) by George R.R. Martin. Anyone else find it funny that my two biggest obsessions in life are an insanely dark and gritty fantasy world where everyone gets raped, murdered, betrayed... and Ponies?

So. Travis. You seem to really dislike RD shipping. Everyone has their personal preferences (I know there are a lot of things in the fandom I'm not too fond of myself) but you go above and beyond to complain about this one issue over and over again in a wide array of story posts.
This is as good an opportunity as any, so care to actually explain why you feel so strongly against this?
The one and only fanfic I've ever gotten into... and really, really, really liked. Such a satisfying ending, and very-well written. I'm glad I stuck around. Thanks for writing. :)

It comes from mostly the fact because I'm obviously a hardcore RD fan, and I just really don't like the way a lot of people pick on the subject, I was raised where that sort of thing really wasn't a good conversation piece to use, also the fact that as a fan if multiple other shows, it always seemed that the character I liked best was always the joke the fandom used, as a guy with a lot of problems from the past that I won't talk about, i found things that made me happy but soon others just corrupted it that it became dead to me. A lot of my friends and girlfriend tell me not to take the fiction stuff to seriusly, its not cannon.Otherwise I just don't know why it does.Other shipping I just ignore but it seems RD ones just gut me, that really is my best excuse as to why I don't like it. But I'm just one person who is just sick of this world and what it has become. Maybe that's why, because I stay in my own world that I want nobody to mess with.

You know, I understand you completely.
I see it both ways myself.
I dislike the CONCEPT of shipping in general because it's a silly and forced fan-tasy and at baseline I like to heep these characters' distilled and pure to the original.
But I also do enjoy reading shipping because it's honestly adorable and squee-worthy and a totally guilt-free pleasure. Even a little clop. It's also ironically amusing to honestly have an opinion on the fan crafted romantic relationships of cartoon ponies. I'm readding a mushy scene and suddenly I'm all like "Hah! There are ponies, lol."
I always get a kick out of that.
Then again I honestly feel NOTHING can ever ruin one of these characters for me. My image of the canon versions is not wavering, my grip on the heart of what the fandom is (the show) is not tenuous.
I am dismayed that shipping alone disturbs you so deeply. I have read and seen things related to this fandom that, far above shaking my love of these characters, had cracked my faith in humanity; things that have caused me such emotional distress I have suffered physical pain as a result. I hope you never come across these things.

Just remember that 90% of the stuff you don't like about the fandom is still done out of love. Just different people with different interests and personality will express themselves in different ways.
It's OK to dislike something, but you don't have to feel bad about it or label it as wrong.
Just like everything else in life.
