Very nice. I also like how fandom has apparently universally accepted "the Summer-Lands" as the name and description of the pony afterlife. We seem to be quite good at filling in holes in the canon like that. :)

Heh. And I have to admit, I just remembered a couple of counterexamples where fanfics have the souls of dead ponies become stars instead. I guess it's not quite universal. However, I've seen the Summer Lands referred to in several different fanfics by several different authors at this point, so there is at least some consensus-building going on.

@Bryan Ah, yes, I remember that, "dead ponies become stars," one, I believe it was Applejack telling Apple Bloom a story before she went to bed as the premise for the fic.
Just finished reading it, that was great, beautiful, heart warming, and many more good things I care not to say. The point being that this is an awesome story. Thank you for making this, The Mechanic.

That was beautiful. I agree, we do need a HappySad tag, as that is the only way to successfully describe this. To be honest, the ending brought a tear of joy to my eye. Excellent fic, one of my newest favs now(:
