I still don't understand how something as simple as un-derping Derpy can not only clone her, but teleport all of us to Mars. She sure does know how to screw things up royally.
I guess it was inevitable though. Pretty much every [Crossover] story in the archive has some form of miss-cast magic. Why it always involves other dimensions and time travel, I will never know.
I'll go find Luna. We should be back in equestria by tomorrow if she isn't off checking the local martian settlements for new deals on brand name hoof warming devices.

ReplyDeleteThe temple is of cruder construction than the surrounding ruins, which range from metal construction to stone. Hard to guess age since I don't have my equipment with me, but based on the mix of strange technologies and writing, they're probably at least a thousand years old.
However, preliminary studies indicate the temple is one of the newest structures based on it's relative wear and tear compared to what else I've seen. Which might suggest, as do the petroglyphs, some kind of great civilization rising and then falling.
I did manage to find what looked like some sort of power source, which the Ancient Equestrian describes, as far as I can tell, "stones that generate heat through reactions of smaller parts of themselves". It seemed to rely on heating the water as in a steam engine with these stones. I wonder if it's still operational...?

ReplyDeleteI'm just trying to figure out how I'd even begin to work what happened during the last RP into the story without making turn into Self-Insert 101 or How to Make a Story Center Yourself And Arrest Twilight Sparkle. Since that's pretty much exactly what happened then.
Luckily this time I'm just a supporting role... if that. And then the next time I may not even be in the movie. And then I'll somehow get shoved back into focus again. And the cycle will repeat itself as long as Seth keeps giving us posts to RP in.

Hehe, this raider looks like any other pony! But this one looks funny, his front legs are so much shorter than his back. And look! He has those fingery things on the end of all of them, not to mention his face what’s that small thing with the 2 holes in the middle of his face and-and are those round things his ears? Why are they on the side of his head? And his eyes are so small…this is one weird looking pony.
Maybe if I adjust the frequency...? Ancient Equestrian didn't have a zero, maybe this dialect does... Crabapples, maybe some more power... Is it this button? I hope it is...
