Can we stop with the "First" thing? Please?

Don't worry, being second place is not as bad as you'd think.

@Daffodil

This is the Internet. We're lucky we went without it for as long as we did.

Comments, you've told me absolutely nothing about this story so far. Now I'm gonna have to stay up late to know whether or not it was worth the read

This story looks interesting. I early await more!

I tried reading it. It was alright, I guess? Nothing really grabbed me, and I felt like I was being assaulted by a stampede of only vaguely-defined characters. Maybe they need time to build, but I think this first chapter would have been better spent focusing more on a select few characters and spending more time elaborating on them than having a massive barrage of characters with little character building moments overrun the reader.

I agree with Kyle.

Good as a prologue at this point. Doesn't feel like anything has actually happened unfortunately. I like the characters, and will definitely read the next chapter, but as it is right now the story hasn't really begun.

@Kyle To build on what I said, if you decide to rework the first chapter... Try focusing on the first character you introduce. Starbuck. What's he like? What're his motivations? Follow him throughout a day, maybe give little explanations for people he's familiar with already.

Or, if you want examples on how to make stories about multiple different encounters between different groups of ponies, I believe there's a fanfic on this site that does it well. I believe the title is "The Melting Pot" or something to that effect, focusing entirely on side ponies while the main six are in Canterlot.

I've nothing against OCs as long as they're done well, and while I don't hate the ones in here, as mentioned before, I don't really KNOW them.

I'm on the fence here. It's a decent start, but it needs more flavor and an update pronto.
