#3 sounded pretty good.
Lyra! what are you doing with your neck? You're silly! :)
3rd one is amazing
I BREATHE FIRE
Again 3 songs that have barely anything to do with the series. Well of course first one didn't have anything to do with ponies, I could hear the Evil Enchantress from the second one and third just had ponypic so it seems to qualify as ponymusic. Although it was still pretty good.
"So Sister, You want me to Return Your Precious Dayand once again hide my beautiful Night? Well it's not fair, you get all the love and my night is shunned. You..You...YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY AGAIN!" Cue number 3 as epic boss music
#2 - Nice!#3 - Oh dear Luna...I can feel it in my BRAIN! (Inna good way! ;D )
ALL HAIL NIGHTMARE MOON!
#3 Is amazing just like I Breath Fire this two are cooler than #2 for me.
I Breathe Fire is amazing, thanks for linking Seth!
1. No pony, not my kind of music...nope.2. Pretty good, low on pony though.3. Badass.
1. Are those lyrics supposed to be Celestia talking to Luna?
I felt something tickling my chin after I finished listening to number 3. I looked down and noticed that I had suddenly grown a very full beard. Looking down past my beard, I saw a rather large flaming hole in the earth. The gods of metal had broken loose from their eldritch chains and were reaching across the bleak void between worlds to proclaim the awesomeness of this song. They were also sporting tattoos of Fluttershy's cutie mark. Apparently the gods of metal are big Fluttershy fans.
...Yes, Odyssey (AKA Eurobeat Brony) is awesome, but that song is really not related to the poni in any way and unlike fanmade songs it doesn't even claim to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supporting the dude, his stuff's fantastic as always. Just saying, not pony.
So, pony related vs pony inspired doesn't have the same merit? If that's the case, that makes me feel rather upset.
#3 NEEDS to be in a Castlevania game
@Anonymous Dude, just because our music may note be praising ponies verbally or match any of Dan or Will's music doesn't mean it has any less to do w/ the series. Our music whatever form it might take, is a thematic tribute to MLP in however form we can best represent it. c:In other news, I liked Odyssy's I breathe Fire, it's very Euro-y lol. And I understand #2 might not stand out very well melody-wise because Wicked enchantress barely had a melody to it anyway, or supporting music for that matter. Pinkie DID say it was a work in progress lol. Thanks to everyone who liked my piece! ^^ Maybe I can be in "Fighting is Magic!" 8D Please ask Mane6 to let me join if you like my work ^^
@Bagpipe BronyBeautifully stated. And that's exactly how I feel about it as well.
#3 Very cool.
I Breathe Fire is pretty awesome. Considering the lines about tyranny, I suddenly am picturing it as the theme for Celestia in Nightmare mode. (What was that fic? Corona Blaze?)
@Bagpipe BronyI agree ^-^You are not the only one coming up with music that has nothing in common with the original material yet is inspired by the series. Take Not A Clever Pony for example. The best of work is like that.Anyways, what think that might be in some people's mind is that some artists are probably trying to hop on the "actual fan train". You can come up with music and name it "AJ's Country Party" or something for the sake of popularity. As for myself, I don't care. Good stuff is good. And so far this fandom hasn't let me down once so I'm likely to believe bronies and their good intentions more than anyone else on the internet.Anyways. #1 Eurobeat is cool as always#2 Was a bit too repetitive for me though it isnt my cup of tea at all. I'm more of a rock/metal pony ^-^ Though I must admit these darn ponies opened me to new genres.#3 Cool :)
I breathe fire, holy shit, that's like the THEME SONG to my fanfic O_o;
#1. Meh. Good, but the vocals were just kinda... off to me, somehow.#2. Pretty nice. Didn't listen to it all though. A bit too slow.#3. Yes. All there is to say.
"I Breathe Fire" DOES have a video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URFlaSWf1tw
Wow, it actually went up...!Hey guys, sorry it's not pony-related, honestly this is just one of my first originals in a while SINCE SPB Vol.1, if it bothers you so much to have it up I can ask Sethisto to take it down. I was hoping a few of you would enjoy what I do between remixes, but so far the reaction isn't quite all roses (as evidenced in the comments of the video).Speaking of which, I've been beaten to it: There IS a video of I Breathe Fire, for those who are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URFlaSWf1tw
Just wanted to mention if you like Eurobeat Brony's music, you'd probably also like Amiga MODs and demoscene tunes. Here's a good place to start: http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_top_favourites
Again, Thanks for liking my tunes guys!Hey waddaya know? EUrobeat Brony! how cool ^^In other news, to anyone who cares, I did not get accepted into the Fighting is Magic music team. Those are some tough bastards lol. They do not respond to additional "fans" of my music asking them to let me join....I am so pissed right now, I don't think I'm very good at hiding it. I never took losing anything with grace. I've never really lost anything I really wanted before. It's worse than getting rejected by the girl of your dreams almost! Knowing you're not good enough to be accepted and then rejected in a cold business like manner... /rant *feels relieved*
Sorry to hear that, Bagpipe. I know game teams are usually very precise about their choice of in-game music, so it may not have been them being cruel so much as them having things already taken care of.Musicians learn to hear the word "no" a lot. Hang in there; it only takes a few "yes"es before you're on top~!
Sorry to hear that, man! I think, to be honest, it was more of a stylistic choice on their end. They may not have thought that the musical style you have matched the mood/design they were going for. That being said, it's the life of an artist/musician. Part of that life involves taking no for an answer. You win some, you lose some.
Thank you EbB and Makkon, I feel a little better about this now. I just really had to blow off some steam.Yeah, getting picked up on fan projects or any project for that matter depends on knowing people and having a good reputation. As far as the Pony community is concerned, I'm an unknown.
Video number 3:Final Boss:Nightmare Moon.
@Eurobeat BronyFor not being pony-related, it goes really well with that animatic the other day where Celestia blew-up the world.
