• Adult Swim Mentions Bronies

    Adult Swim mentioned bronies!

I don't think it was really a good thing though!  Apparently we are creepy as hell, along with furries and the word "moist".

And I thought for sure they would have a few of us in their ranks.

    Color me disappointed.

    1. It's funny because got but hurt from a bump on AS. A thing that be used to troll. AS makes jokes about everything and they usually dont mean anything. Whats really funny is how so many of you are getting butthurt over it.

    3. Whoa whoa whoa, the purveyors of Robot Unicorn Attack have a problem with Bronies?

Talk about biting the hand that feeds

    4. Aside from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken and possibly the Venture Brothers, Adult Swim is shit now.

    5. You were expecting something from Adult Swim other than mockery?

    6. In general, how are Bronies different than furries? Serious question.

    7. ^ Bronies don't have conventions... yet.

That's seriously all I can think of. The two groups are more or less the same, when you boil it down to basics. And like I said earlier (I was the last post on the first page), I'm part of both subcultures.

    9. First thots:

      1) "It's just a JOKE." YYyyyyeah. It's ALWAYS "just a joke," ain't it.

      2) Some of y'all ARE friggin' creepy. I've seen the stories and artwork. You don't like it, quit being creepy.

      3) Most of y'all are hypocrites too. Welcome to life as a Furry--- who as a group are treated just like this, for pretty much the same reasons.

      4) You're the new kids in the fanboy neighborhood, so it's your turn in the barrel. Welcome to reality.

      5) Wasn't "Uhh-Derp Swim" invented because people kept sneering about how "creepy" it was that adults watched cartoons and anime "meant for children?"

    11. *sigh* Firing orbital friendship cannon. May they and their families never forget the day they were bathed in our fresh, hot, moist, bountiful love. I get up at one in the morning on Sundays to see Full Metal Alchemist, I am glad they host it as I do not have or know of any other channel that would. Let us all thank adult swim for:
      1)FMA and other shows
      2)Robot Unicorn Attack
3)Spreading the word of brony so others will try it and fall in love.

    12. Adult Swim is scared, bronies and fillies can smell that >8]

    13. Oh please. If it gets popular enough with their demographic they'll put it on the air and beat that horse to death just like they did with anime. (who shows Prince of Tennis and Blood + for that long?)

As a furry, I'm used to being hated for stupid reasons by people too self conscious and steeped in ignorance to personally try something way out of the mainstream. As far as I'm concerned, this is no different.

I'll see you at 12:00 am in six months for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic reruns, Adult Swim!

    14. We have to love and tolerate the hell out of them for this.

      ReplyDelete
    15. Ok, to all of you who are complaining about being furries who are not tolerated, yeah... Um, nice job being whiny.

I'm a zoophile, and I experience intolerance orders of magnitudes greater than most furries (although given, zoophilia is mentioned much less than furryness).

Strangely enough, most of the intolerance I experience is FROM furries.

I'm not trying to start a debate or flame war here, I just felt like telling you to man up and stop whining about your self-imposed lot in life.

But nonetheless I shall love and tolerate you.

    16. I would think that they were ripping on Bronies just because they knew they could get away with it. I wouldn't be surprised to see My Little Pony on [AS] one day.

Either that for they didn't know about FIM when they made that.

    18. As mentioned here, AS Games has "Robot Unicorn Attack."

I wish AS and Hasbro could agree on a limited-time version starring Twilight. I'd actually play it then. :)

    19. I'm a furry AND a brony -- I guess I got two strikes against me! :)

But, seriously -- as I've said elsewhere, I think Adult Swim should have found some way to broadcast pony repeats over the summer. The "bronies" are, for the most part, in that all-important 15-25 demographic that AS desperately wants as their audience. They missed a real opportunity, IMHO.

    20. I just watched a bump about DVR and recording or some shit, and it mentioned My Little Pony. Maybe they changed their minds about being their lying Adult Swim selfs?

    21. just saw a new mlp mention on adult swim again

    23. The most you'll ever see an [AS] fan make is an exploitable meme post or a cake that looks like Meatwad.

Let Williams Street say what they will about MLP. At the end of the day look at how much original content they've produced on [AS] as a company and then look at everything the Brony community has created having not even been associated with Hasbro/DHX. The numbers speak for themselves.

So nice of them to lump us with furries though. Yet another despicable stereotype that deserves to die.
