Eh, the seam between two parts of this is very... jarring. She goes from 'my love I deserved' it to 'eternal night' with very little encouragement or reason.
This story alone is... fine, but a bit light, I would say.
In itself it's an OK story, but it's just that there's not many stuff in it.
Basicly, it's a few good points that could be used to make a bigger story... Like the frame for something larger.

It makes seance if you see it as Luna having gone insane over the years
I think this story is pretty unique, there are very few that actually touch on Luna/Nightmare Moon whilst still in the moon and whilst it doesn't fit with canon as such it is a nice read.
The road to eternal night is paved with good intentions? Unexpected, but interesting!
