• 1,000 Blog Posts!

And then I lost my mind.

Thats a lot of content!  How the hell did ponies spawn all of this?

You guys are nuts!  Will it last through the 7 month pony hiatus though?

I should probably figure out a better way to archive stuff.  The current archives are getting a little bit overly clustered.

Anyway keep up the creative STORM!

But please keep it running during the hiatus PLEASE!

    4. Honestly I'm hoping all these fics die down during the hiatus. I want to read them all but there's too damned many!

    5. We'll keep it up even if it kills ya, Seth.
      ...
You know what, maybe that's not such a great idea...

    6. With the spirits of friendship combined we are Pony Planet!

In any case we can use anything as news, anything at all or else we'll be having a slow news for a while. The problems is if that news will be interesting or not.

    7. I once asked in a thread on /co/ if anyone else heard the lyrics as 'madness' instead of 'magic'. Guess people do.

    8. You, sir, are the best! Thanks so much for runnin' Equestria Daily!

    9. Oh man, four digits. Man, time flies A LOT when you're having fun, am I right, everyone? Man, I still remember back when something like 500,000 page views was a huge surprise and CELEBRATION WAS HAD. And now look at us; 1.65 million in seven months. That's like 235,714 pageviews a day, give or take a couple. I think this place will be FINE during the summer.

Seth, for some reason, I'm tempted to go back through 1000 posts to see if everything is labeled correctly to cure my boredom.

    10. Don't y'all worry none. I am planning to work on some cool fan projects during the hiatus.
I hope to see lots of awesome pony fan content by others!

    11. Just look how far we have come. Imagine what we would be going right now and for the past 6 months without ponies.....thank Celestia and congrats!

    12. PFFF! Of course it will last! I'm not sure about the other bronies on here, but I will keep posting my updates, page by page, week by week, until not only the next season has come out, but the one after that, and the one after that! I know that once this dies down, and we all move on to other shows and new lives, we bronies will be forgotten. But even as we move into the pages of history, they will never forget what we did. We brought friendship to the Internet, fellow bronies, and that is something to be proud of. That is something, magical.

So do not fear Sethisto, I shall remain, and my and your legions upon legions of compatriots shall remain as well, for now unto

      FOREVER!

Sorry to be a bit of a hardass, but your math is a tiny bit off. Crunched the numbers, and here's what i got:
      Views per day: ~7,857 (avg)
      Blog posts per day: ~5
This is some serious stuff. Keep it up! I'm sure there will be plenty of updates and new stories over the pony drought of '11!

    14. this site is 20% cooler.

Keep up the awesome work, Seth. No idea how you find time to update so much.

Math isn't my strong suit today, it seems. Thanks for the corrections, Windchaser!

    18. @ZarkanorfNo har, no foul Zark! It's still a staggering number of page views! Maxie better get the 2m comic started if she wants it done in time ;P

    19. The Lyokofreak forums remained strong and alive during the year-and-a-half hiatus in between the conclusion of Season 1 of Code: Lyoko (a fantastic cartoon that I highly recommend) and the first episode of Season 2. Then there was another year-long hiatus between 2 and 3, and a much shorter wait between 3 and 4, and the last half of four was only available online due to the show getting screwed over by the network.

Yeah, I think that a mere 8-month wait is within our capabilities.

    23. Its a crazy obsession my friends.
But I love this obsession. Its a lot better then my World of Warcraft obsession (which the ponies have nearly utterly destroyed), since all its about is getting the beat gear and kill sutff.

Not anymore, now its Friendship. Its telling me to go out and talk to people. To be loyal t your friends, to be honest, to be kind, to be generous, to laugh in the face of agony, and to be shown the magic that is Friendship.

I love the ponies, I love this website, I love all the things this silly little thing taught me, and I love you guys.
And what I would give to keep this feeling of awesome alive.
1000 posts is merely nothing more then a footstep to a much more glorious and possibly creepy goal.
10,000 posts here we come! Fan on bronies!

    24. Speaking of the 7 months without new pony, Im thinking of starting Doctor Who (thanks to ponies of course) but I have no idea where to start. Anyone savvy on that?

      ReplyDelete
    25. @Peaches n' Cream
I would recommend starting with the last season. It starred a new actor, Matt Smith, as The Doctor, so it was sort of a mini reboot. If you search "Doctor Who 2005 Series 5" you're sure to come across it.

      Or, just see here:

Awesome, thank you very much! Just found a download. Also found the complete original series. 200+GB and 26 seasons O_O
XD I'll start with the 5 seasons you're talking about.

    27. I've already brown-nosed you endlessly, Sethisto, but I want to say that EqD and Synchtube really are the two linchpins to my entire enjoyment of ponydom. Thank you for sticking with it! :D

    28. This is the first fandom I've ever devoted myself to, first fanfics I've ever written, and first blog I've given a shit about.

      Here's to 1000 more.

    31. Y'all make this the sweetest pony spot it could possibly be. Thanks much to the visionaries who create the poni, the contributors who field the poni, and the overburdened Seth who manages the poni!

Here's to the great days to come. ^_^

    32. Yay! Go, ponies! Also, thanks for making the site so wonderful!

      ReplyDelete
    33. Its wonderful! Gratz for your 1,000 Blogposts!
      May Equestria rise further!

And I think that the population of active Bronies will definitly decrease a bit during the series break, but there will definitly enough for a strong base of bronies. The Bronies are very creative, they're lot of fanfics, fanarts and other stuff like the minecraft server, gameskins or rpg's. And the possible release in europe. We are Bronies, we wont die that easily!

      Brony for Life!

    37. Well it is going to be a slower time, but maybe then if got the chance to catch up with all the fanfics (the normal ones at least). Maybe start drawing again and contribute something. Again thanks Sethisto for running this site and the fans for contributing ! Since I'm not a chan goer this is my nr.1 site for pony related news.

    38. We love you, Sethisto! I even gave you and this site some love by e-mailing in to a podcast that had an open topic week... mostly wondering about MLP in general and how to get Winter Wrap-Up out of their heads. Of course, I refer them to Eurobeat Brony and mention the rabid success Equestria Daily has become in 2 and a half months.
