Sunshine PonyCon Announces First Event in Atlantic City, New Jersey this July;
Registration Now Open
Get ready to make new friends at the latest Brony convention debuting on the Atlantic City
Boardwalk this summer.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — March 7, 2026 — Sunshine PonyCon today announced its inaugural
event, taking place July 17-19, 2026 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Registration is officially open
for those interested in celebrating the creativity, friendship, and collaborative spirit of the Brony
community.
Sunshine PonyCon brings together fans and creators, new and old, from across the globe for a
weekend of fun under the sun on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The event aims to celebrate more
than fifteen years of the Brony community—not only the show that inspired it, but the people,
friendships, and projects that have grown from it. Attendees can expect a wide range of
programming: fan panels, art workshops, musical performances, cosplay gatherings, community
meetups, and trinket trading / swap meets. The event will also feature community vendors and
artists offering original artwork, crafts, and merchandise.
Sunshine PonyCon is designed to embrace its “boardwalk on the beach” setting, with organizers
encouraging activities that extend far beyond traditional convention spaces—literally! Planned
outdoor programming includes beach meetups, boardwalk gatherings, group photoshoots, and
community activities to embrace that summer vacation vibe.
Registration and merch pre-sales are now open at https://sunshine.horse. Several badge types
are available, including standard attendee badges, Spirit badges, and Sponsor badges. Youth
badges will be available for children attending with a registered adult and must be added
through an accompanying adult registration as an add-on.
Vendor and musician applications are open now through March 15. Panel and activity
submissions will remain open until available programming space is filled. Organizers encourage
creative proposals that take advantage of the beach and boardwalk environment, though all
submissions are welcome.
The event will also launch its official Discord community alongside registration. The server will
provide a space for attendees to meet one another, coordinate ride & room sharing, plan
activities, and participate in shaping elements of the events programming. Portions of the server
will be accessible exclusively to registered attendees, and other areas to Sponsor Badge
holders only.
“We are focused on creating the best possible environment to foster creativity within our
community,” said Grant ‘The Rum Princess’ Brady, chair of Sunshine PonyCon. “Our job as
event organizers is to build a sustainable structure where people can bring their own ideas,
programming, and energy. When the community is empowered to create together, that’s when
the best moments happen.”
Sunshine PonyCon is intended to be a family-friendly event welcoming fans of all ages sharing
a love of Brony culture, its creativity, collaboration, and many, many friendships. Organizers are
currently working in tandem with the community to select additional guests and programming
highlights for this inaugural event.

About Rising Phoenix Forums Inc.
Sunshine PonyCon is organized by Rising Phoenix Forums Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization incorporated in October 2025. The organization’s mission is to create and foster
inclusive community spaces where people can gather, collaborate, and share creative projects.
The board of Rising Phoenix Forums is made up of a group of passionate community members
dedicated to bringing more Brony events to the East Coast. Board members bring a range of
experience, including volunteering and performing at other fan conventions and nonprofit
community events. Some have been involved in the Brony community and convention scene for
its entire 15+ year life, while others joined more recently after discovering the creativity,
friendship, and collaboration that define the fandom.
