We had 9 seasons of friendship is magic, and while plenty of ponies hooked up in the background, only Pinkie Pie ever actually got with anyone with complete confirmation. And that was way after everything was over.
How do you think the fandom would have reacted if ponies were shipped off in the middle of it all? Would it be a Twilacorn level event? Would we have seen bronies freaking out as their waifus are shipped off to happy lives?
