• Last Minute Itinerary Check For BronyCon 2018

A final press release for BronyCon before the big event this weekend! Head on down below the break for some last minute things to do before heading to the convention.

LAST MINUTE ITINERARY CHECK FOR BRONYCON 2018

(BALTIMORE) - BronyCon is only a few days away and we wanted to remind attendees and interested locals about a few key things, ranging from tips regarding transportation and key events around the convention.

Due to the recent weather in the Baltimore area, the light rail system has been damaged in certain areas. Service has been suspended from the Patapsco station to the Cromwell and BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport stations, and vice versa. A free bus will stop at all affected stations, so attendees who are flying into Baltimore–Washington International Airport and were looking to use this route should plan accordingly. Those arriving by train or coming from the opposite end of the line will not be affected in their journey to the convention center.

Those arriving by road may be interested in making use of BronyCon’s partnership with SpotHero, the nation’s leading parking reservation app. Individuals who head to http://bronycon.org/baltimore/getting-here/by-car/ can look up parking prices around the Baltimore Convention Center for every day of the event. The spot is guaranteed and can be booked via the company’s app on mobile as well.

Those looking for something to do in  Baltimore on Thursday have plenty of option thanks to BronyCon’s Thursday events. While the Bar Trot has sold out, individuals looking for large group activities can still take part in the free Pokémon GO walk in the afternoon or the Baltimore Orioles game at night - with part of the latter’s ticket proceeds going to charity. Smaller groups can enjoy discounted rates at the Charm City Clue Room all weekend or take part in cupcake decorating classes with Charm City Cakes. More information can be found at http://bronycon.org/events/thursday.

Our finalized event schedule is online for viewing and planning at http://bronycon.org/events/schedule/. Attendees will be able to pick up their pre-registered badges on Thursday from 2 PM until 10 PM as well. BronyCon is also excited to announce that we will be giving attendees a new mobile way to check schedules, get updates and receive news about the event. Information on how to download and take part will be given at badge pickup.

Finally, BronyCon attendees have even more ways to give back to CureSearch for Children’s Cancer than ever this year! For the second straight year, UNO Pizzeria and Grill in the Inner Harbor (201 E Pratt Street) will be hosting a Happy Hour event on Friday from 4 PM until 7 PM. With raffles, a specialty menu dedicated to pony conventions around the world, and free giveaways, attendees can use the time to eat before the first night of BronyPalooza. Up to 20% of sales will be donated to the charity at the conclusion of the night. Also, Wild Bill's Olde Fashioned Soda Pop Company will be exhibiting in the Charles Street lobby of the convention center for the first time this year. The group will be selling their traditional soda and custom mugs, including BronyCon exclusive ones with a portion of sales also going to CureSearch.

To register, visit BronyCon’s registration page. Badges for BronyCon will cost more at the door, so don’t wait! Also make sure you are following BronyCon on Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram to be the first to hear our latest announcements.
