• Nightly Roundup #1105

Considering the success of the Orion test flight today I thought ponies exploring another celestial body would be appropriate. Besides, Luna gets lonely when she visits the moon.

News time my friends! Get it after the break.

    Tonight's Stories

Pony Reference in Heroes of Newerth

"In a recently released patch for Heroes of Newerth , a MOBA-game developed by S2Games, a special avatar for the hero "Emerald Warden" was released.

This avatar is named Sagittarius, like the zodiak-sign, and has two MLP-References.

One is in the chattering at the beginning ("Friendship is magic"), the other one is the taunt at the end of the video."

    Pony Reference in Jetpack Joyride

Looks like players of Jetpack Joyride can ride in a chariot called the Chariot of Harmony! Complete with pegasi and rainbows!

Thanks to Brony Destined for the heads up!

Help Back the Army Navy History Project

A-ten-hut! We need your help in backing the Army Navy History Project. This research has been nine years of work and we need your help to finally get it published. The West Point of the West is the first book to tell the story of the American military school institution, its evolution from the post-Civil War era to the modern day and place in our cultural history. This book further focuses on the family of military academies that once dotted the West Coast and the Southwest, how they dwindled one by one, until only one sole survivor stands to this day.

We were happy to learn that within the first week, a surprising 10-20% of our Kickstarter came from our friends from the MLP fandom. As we are MLP fans and members of the fan community, to thank any brony backer or donator of this project, exclusive pony themed rewards will be offered as alternatives to the normal rewards. Depending on tier, rewards include pony themed military patches and promo cards, Equestrian Tarot reading cards, lapel pins, a limited release challenge coin, printed artwork, art commissions, and more.

All backers will have their names printed on the thank you page in the back of the published book. Backers who served in the military can chose to have their branch and rank listed, while backers who graduated from a military academy can chose to have their military school and class year listed. Backers also have the option to list their fan name or group organization. As well, if enough bronies and military bronies back the project, the published book will specially thank the “MLP Fandom” and “Military Bronies” collectively in the front on the dedication page.

Check out our Kickstarter page to learn more: (derpy.me/armynavypony) or (tinyurl.com/armynavyhistory). If you have any further questions please email us at [email protected] or [email protected] You can also contact us through Tumblr (armynavyacademy.tumblr.com) and Twitter (twitter.com/VisualHistories). Thank you for your support.
