• Artist Spotlight: Coggler / Mynder / Ardail / Starbat / Grendeleev

Sorry for the wait everyone, it's been a busy three weeks but the Artist Spotlight has returned! Hopefully it was worth the wait and that you all discover some new artists to follow today.

As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-4 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.

What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:

    • No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
    • Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
    • Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
    Now on to the artists!

    Coggler

First up tonight is an artist that is sure to brighten up your day with their happy ponies. Coggler is one of the many artists utilizing the lineless style to create their artwork which gives everything a nice smooth appearance. This style complements the general cheeriness of Coggler's pieces which when combined with bright and vibrant colors and expressions really makes for some happy pony art. Have a look if you need cheering up!

    Mynder

There are many types of artists out there and it's always a treat to find one that is talented in multiple fields of artwork. Mynder has such a talent where she is not only able to make or own beautiful artwork, but is able to add some life to others as well by being a colorist; coloring pieces from the talented Joey Darkmeat and others! Give Mynder's material a look if you want to see colored interpretations of some of your favorite pieces as well as some cute artwork of her own. By the way, she makes some adorable deer in MLP style. Their tails are so fluffy!

    Ardail

Our next artist diverts from the clean, crisp look of our last two artists and goes for a more painted and hazy look that has a charm all its own. Ardail specializes in all sorts of emotion, bringing it out with the strokes of his digital brush as he details scenes both epic, cute, and sad. Worth a look if you like various emotions and painted art in your pony.

    Starbat

Some artists like to go all out with their pictures, filling every space possible with wonderful detail! Combining that with a great variety of scenes to put our ponies in means you end up with some very clever and awesome pictures. Combining them with a variety of expressions and you've got some wonderful scenes. Check out some of Starbat's pics below to get an idea of what I am talking about.
