Not only is it a Fluttershy episode, it's an episode with what sounds like the most in-depth look into how the weather is made since Sonic Rainboom. I think I'll enjoy this one. :)
ReplyDelete'Nother Fluttershy eppy!! So much WEEEEEE!

ReplyDeleteI share your sentiment. Unfortunately, the cynic in me is expecting the writers to go with the former scenario. :(
But of course, that's purely unfounded speculation, and objectively speaking, I don't see how such a scenario would affect the quality of the episode. I'm actually more concerned with FS's character development (or rather, the potential lack of it) this season, considering the remarkably similar premise between both upcoming FS episodes.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! Always good to be appreciated, and knowing that people read what I say! (sometimes I just feel like I'm rambling on about ponies, Star Trek or Zelda and no one cares.)
Thanks!
ITS ABOUT TIME.

ReplyDeleteI hate not having the Hub. I can never see new ponies until Sunday at the earliest -.-
ReplyDeleteHere comes the ****storm...
ReplyDeleteAnother thing nice about this episode will be more Pegasi being shown. We don't usually see them very often at all anymore unless it's Dashie or Fluttershy.
ReplyDeleteholy crap i cant wait!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletefluttershy is my 2nd fav but her episodes are normally above par

@Ironclad
ReplyDeleteI don't see how she doesn't have character growth, in Dragonshy Pinkie teaches her to jump over the gap, and then later in 'Feeling Pinkie Keen' she follows Pinkie's advice. 'Then in Green isn't Your Color' she and Rarity both learn to be more honest with each other. Besides from Dragonshy, The Stare Master, The Return of Harmony, and Secret of My Excess she's proven that in times of need she can pull out her inner strength and be there for her friends. Sure she remains demure and passive, cause that's her character she's not gung-ho assertive all the time, but she's clearly not shy and passive all the time too. IMO she's one of the best developed characters of the Mane 6 which is probably why her episodes have been pushed back so that other less developed ponies (Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash) could catch up.
@Scott_Lochmoeller
ReplyDeleteand this is why I love Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy's relationship most out of all the Mane 6, I know I ship them (mostly in a non-serious, playful way) but I do seriously think their relationship has the most depth considering they've known each other the longest and I see Rainbow Dash's constant agitating of Fluttershy has a sign of her frustration with her for not being like other Pegasi and handling the weather, and Fluttershy doesn't even seem to like to fly which most likely makes zero sense to Rainbow Dash who absolutely loves it.
YAY! I cant wait I love her cuteness lol.
ReplyDeleteIf it isn't Ironclad... What's up, bro?! I see we both changed our profile pics.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to point out, for the record, that Fluttershy is my favorite pony and that last anime thing I saw was the Pokemon movie, like, 12 years ago. It isn't just 'weebs' that like her.
ReplyDeleteA fluttershy episode that is....AWSOME
ReplyDeleteExcellently!...
ReplyDeleteTwo Fluttershy episodes in March. This announcement just made my day ^_^
ReplyDelete@ninonybox Don't forget that we are also getting 2 Spikes.
ReplyDeleteYay! More Fluttershy!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait!! almost a month of waiting >_<
ReplyDeleteAh yes, a new Fluttershy episode! Too bad it's so far away. Ah well, it does take time to make a good cartoon, so I can't really complain! :D
ReplyDeleteIf Derpy wasn't changed, she most likely would have had an actual role in this episode. Sad.
ReplyDelete@Al-Asad wahoo
ReplyDeleteSo Fluttershy has two episodes dealing with self confidence? Not complaining just observing. I wonder how they will both work out.
ReplyDeleteOh Fluttershy, your such a loudmouth.
ReplyDeleteYAY
ReplyDeleteYAY
ReplyDeleteFluttershypony is best pony! Thrilled to see another episode for her!
ReplyDeleteIs it weird that I get this happy feeling whenever Fluttershy actually uses her wings?
ReplyDeleteI mean, when Dash flies, it's like "yeah, there she goes again"
But when Fluttershy goes more then a few feet off the ground, it's like a special occasion.
Plus, this episode sounds like its pretty much all about pegasi. I loves me the pegasi.
@Ironclad
ReplyDeleteAww yeah, Fluttershy learns to be assertive! This has totally never happened in any other episode! Ever.
A Twilight Sparkle episode and two Fluttershy episodes lined in within a month?
ReplyDelete...
SOOO AWESOME! /)*3*(\
Yeah, I'm excited for this one. Not as excited as I am for It's About Time or Dragon Quest, but this sounds like another good one.
ReplyDeleteI just wanna say, though; everyone has their definitions of self-conciousness and assertiveness, and we'll just have to see how they both play out, but in my mind, there IS a distinction.
Assertiveness can sometimes be boiled down to confidense, and the ability to speak up for yourself. This one out of the two would probably be where some fans get there Flutterbitch fix, because with the wrong attitude and extent, it can be taken to, well ... you know. New bitchin' heights.
Self-conciousness, on the other hoof, is more about dealing with other ponies: how they see you, how what you're doing affects them, that sort of thing. Mind you, that does take some confidence to overcome, but in my mind that's why the confidence/assertiveness episode comes first. I think she'll take the bit of confidense she gained to interact with the other Pegasi.
I'm also actually really happy to see that RD and FS's dynamic is being spotlitted a little. It gives excuse to have another filly flashback, and I've been yearning for another one of those since Cutie Mark Chronicles.
I just hope Dash doesn't do what she ALWAYS does (kind of hopeless there), and be the one to point out Fluttershy's flaws. I mean, Dash still has to be a bit of a jerk, that's who she is, but I really hope to see a glimmer of that protectiveness we did in Cutie Mark Chronicles. It's very becoming of Dash, and it speaks for her loyalty.
Not that I want this episode to have too much Dash. I love 'er, but 3 spotlight episodes so close? And not ONE with her and Scoot? I am honestly a little dissapoint, Hasbro (I say Hasbro, not Studio B, because, well, how could I EVER be dissapoint with those people?!)
