Loving the wavy mane. Wonder if this canonizes the idea about an alicorn's age is tied with their magic. Luna seems to have grown quite a bit in the short time since we was purified. She also looks like she's aged way more than the ~1 year since her first appearance, which would be explained by her age being connected to her increasing magic levels.

They made Luna more Celestia-ish, and NMM-ish, and less cute.

I think she looks great, but there are many many MANY pics out there that are not really accurate anymore.

Maybe her mane changed back to translucent after she started raising the moon again in the nights?

Weirdly enough, I've checked this image side by side with a lot of other images of Luna... She doesn't look any thinner or taller in this than in any other picture, official or otherwise.

Her hair's different, yeah, but her body looks pretty much the same.

Also, this is me hoping that the wavy hair is actually just part of a costume, because if it isn't, I'm going to have to go back and change all of the pictures I drew of Luna...>_<

I like the suggestion that Luna's mane goes ethereal in the night, but it's just as likely a permanent art change.

As for Spike, he could easily be in costume as a *famous* dragon. I'm sure Twilight is someone out of a book, historical or otherwise.

That doesn't look like any of the CMC to me at all. I also want to know if the brown spot around the eye is part of the costume or are they allowing facial marks on ponies. ( spots )

I think the kid is actually a calf. Only the cows had spots so far in the entire series. I'm not sure how I'd feel if the ponies were starting to be drawn more closer resembling actual ponies...

Looks like I'm not alone in saying "I REALLY like her mane!"

Actually, her mane being all starry again was the first thing I noticed about this. It reminds me of how she (spoiler) ended up in Past Sins(/spoiler).
