    1. Not sure if I want to read...can someone tell me if it's good or not?

    2. Why do people always do "Pinkie Died" fics...
A lovable character should NEVER be killed.

      ReplyDelete
    3. This one is actually very good.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it, but it has one of those sad, but happy endings. Plus it's rather short, so, enjoy.

    4. I actually would like to see how an episode like this is handled. Not just Pinkie either, but with any of the mane 6. I doubt it would happen, considering, you know, it's a kids show, but it would be interesting. I actually was kind of imagining a death worked into the season premiere with Discord, with everything getting resolved at the end and launching the whole thing into an epic arc style show centered around the elements of harmony and their powers. Not gonna happen, but I think it would be pretty damn cool, if I say so myself.

    5. This is a sad one but it is good. Don't judge it because Pinkie Dies.

      ReplyDelete
    6. I... I-I can't bring myself to read it. Not about my favorite pony d-d-d... not, living... anymore. I-I gotta go. *gallops somewhere private to shed stallion tears of sadness.*

    7. I saw someone mention this earlier, and, low and behold, it gets posted. What is with killing the cast off in stories recently?

      ReplyDelete
    8. To anyone not wanting to read it due to it being a pinkie dies fic. i have to tell you your missing something.

Its handled unbelievably well. You'll know what i mean when you read it.

      ReplyDelete
    9. Fortunately, all cartoon characters are blessed with eternal life. We never have to see them die.

It's somewhat comforting to think about that, in light of this fic.

      ReplyDelete
    10. Well, it wasn't too bad. I thought it's a little rushed/forced through but sad in typical decent way.

      ReplyDelete
    11. I still can't figure out how, when you say you love these characters so much, you can turn around and do everything you can to make them miserable, kill them, make them psychotic serial killers, rape victims, and ever other evil you can imagine being inflicted upon them?

      ReplyDelete
    12. My desktop is currently a giant image of Pinkie Pie and this is what you have for me EqD? Way to break my heart.

      ReplyDelete
    13. I came this close....THIS CLOSE....to raging out a rant about how many horrible Grimdark stories there are about a show that is all about joy and friendship.

But I read the story first. You should too.

      ReplyDelete
    14. This was a sad, yet good story to read.

      ReplyDelete
    15. Hmm. Link isn't working for me. Obviously it's Pinkie breaking more walls trying to stop me from reading it.

      ReplyDelete
    16. But that was an excellent and profound story. :)

      ReplyDelete
    17. I read Bittersweets.

I'm not reading this after what that did to me.

At least for a little while...

      ReplyDelete
    18. O-oh god. I was f-fine up until the very end. That last paragraph got to me. I'm actually rather glad I read this. It showed me not to take anything for granted and to have a great time in life. For the most part though, it gave me new found respect for Pinkie.

    19. >be author of Bittersweet
      >see this
      >"what is this faggotry?"
      >read it
      >see that's it's nothing like Bittersweet

      Carry on then.
      ...
      ...
      ...
Bittersweet is the superior coping with death fic though. >__>

    20. Holy hell it got posted.

I...I am almost catatonic right now...

      ReplyDelete
    21. I read this a while back on FiMF, glad to see it got posted up here. All of you out there, don't be turned off by the "Sad" tag or the premise of the story. This is something all of you NEED to read. I'd call it one of the best fics on the site.

      ReplyDelete
    22. Sad but good. I can't think of any other way of putting it.

      ReplyDelete
    23. @nukeiffum

Oh crap. That means that this will be even more sad...

      ;_;

      ReplyDelete
    24. The [Sad] tag makes me nervous, but the additional tags convinced me to try this one. I do not regret it. This was a... nice experience. Loved the ending.

    26. @Muffinsforever eh, not really. It's just that with me being the guy who wrote Bittersweet, I feel compelled to plug in my own work. >__>

      Decent story though, 3-stars.

      <__<

    27. ...and then I read it. With Linkin Park's Shadow of the Day and Leave out all the Rest playing in the background to add to the effect. It was awful, but at the same time it was beautiful. TRDMC as I write this. I can't imagine MLP without Pinkie, and this really tugged at my heartstrings.
In fact, one thing that interested me in reading this was the death of one of my friends over the weekend. He reminded me of a less hyper Pinkie, but he was still always able to put a smile on your face and cheer you up when you were down. RIP Logan Fulgham.

Inb4 Linkin Park sucks, stfu, no one cares.

      ReplyDelete
    28. Too many sad Pinkie stories dammit!

    29. I wasn't going to read this, But I gave in to curiousity. And I'm glad I did.

    30. "Dear Princess Celestia...

Today I learned the value of appreciating what you have, while you have it. Never take anything for granted, especially not one of your best friends. Cherish every moment, and spend all the time with them that you can, because you never know what could happen; when it could all be gone.

      Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."

That is the only thing this story was missing. This was a great read; a short one, but touching. Like said above...

Never take what you've got for granted, and appreciate it at its full worth.

      -Ficksitup.

      ReplyDelete
    31. I'll admit it. I happy cried on the inside! ;_;

      ReplyDelete
    32. What Ficksitup said.

Short but sweet, and very well done.

      ReplyDelete
    33. I'm sad, but a different sort of sad. I'm not crying, and don't feel like it, but I almost feel depressed.

      ReplyDelete
    34. IT IS GOOD.
The writing is jumpy but the story is really well planned. About halfway through I was like "Oh OH OH! I know what's gonna happen!". But I still liked it. 4 stars.

      ReplyDelete
    35. @Ficksitup

I'd noticed the Letter to Celestia's absence myself; while I did miss it, its not being there doesn't really take anything away from the ending.

      ReplyDelete
    36. Okay, it wasn't bad, better than most that do this at any rate...but I am getting a bit sick of these, not to take it out on your story though.

      ReplyDelete
    37. You know, this was actually really good. It's not one of my all time favorites, but it belongs in the "excellent" echelon, which is right below that. Wish I could rate it 4.5...

      ReplyDelete
    39. That was very sad, but very good. It held a good message at heart and really got me to tear up a little at the end. I hate to think about what it would be like to loose a friend like Pinkie Pie, but this story forces you to do so.

Well done...just don't ever make me read one of those again!

      ReplyDelete
    40. I liked Bittersweet better. Good try though.

      ReplyDelete
    41. Oh, come on; kill somepony else for once! :P

      ReplyDelete
    42. Do I want to read this? Might as well.

      ReplyDelete
    43. I've never read Bittersweet *prepares for shitstorm*

But now that everypony is saying this is so similar to that, I may have to...

      ReplyDelete
    44. ...You know, it's always Pinkie and Rainbow Dash that die. Think about how everypony else feels. Maybe Applejack wants to die? Did you think about that? Or maybe Rarity? They're feeling left out you know.

      ReplyDelete
    45. :(
I was fine until around the middle, then I began to shed tears.
Brilliant story. I'll certainly be less likely to take anything or anyone for granted.

    46. Grimdark and sad don't phase me.

    47. I'm the kind of person who reads a few comments before deciding whether or not to read a fic that I'm only slightly interested in. I'm very glad nopony spoiled the ending in the handful I read. This is a great story. <3

      ReplyDelete
    48. At first I thought "Another one in which Pinkie passes away? How original..."

But after I'd read it I still found myself with tears in my eyes. To call this plagiarism would be utterly wrong of me since it is its own beautiful story. Very well done 5/5

    51. Holy shit that was a good story.

For those of you not wanting to read due to sadfic: It has a happy conclusion.

      ReplyDelete
    52. This is the stuff that I love reading. Even more so that it was such a short story. People tend to believe that short stories carry nothing, but this twisted my emotions and left me feeling fuzzy in 10 minutes flat.

      ReplyDelete
    53. @Streek471

You want others to die? Read To be an Alicorn. Everyone but Twilight and Applejack are dead and Applejack is dead by the end.

Tiny Toon Adventures, the episode entitled Fields of Honey. One of my favorite cartoons, though I prefer Animaniacs.

I'm ready for my love now.

    55. @bronydash

So killing a pony is fine, super, spectacular, yet shipping is a sin against all things pony?

      Wow.

Anyway, it's a good story, I read it against my better judgement and it had me feeling quite... melancholy by the end.

      ReplyDelete
    56. Wow, this was well-executed... Now I have to watch all of Pinkie's happy episodes to reassure myself ;_;

      ReplyDelete
    57. From what I've heard of this, this seems like a fic that is best played along with Timothy or Contact, both by As Cities Burn.

      THIS IS A CHALLENGE, BRONIES.

      ReplyDelete
    58. Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door...

I loved this. Usually not into Sadfics but I liked this.

    59. >pinkie
      >dead
      pick one

      ReplyDelete
    60. This is the best fanfic I've ever read. Bar none. A bittersweet ending, but not nearly as bad as some other *cough*Bittersweet*cough* stories.

      ReplyDelete
    61. Excellently made, and it makes you think about all the things you take for granted. I loved it, there are no other words for that.

      ReplyDelete
    62. Usually the only "Pinkie Pie is dead" fic I read is that one where Pinkie Pie becomes the Discworld's new Death. Becoming the Grim Reaper means you had to have died at some point, right?

      ReplyDelete
    63. Very good, but choppy with all the paragraph breaks in there. But Pinkie dying twice in the same fic is near unbearable... Good thing it's not the show. :D

      ReplyDelete
    64. @nukeiffum
Well, as far as Pinkie Pie death fics go, Bittersweet is the superior one. This one is good too though.

      ReplyDelete
    65. @Infalle I don't much mind that you don't like the story, but I'm a bit offended that you think it's pretentious. Everything in this story is 100% sincere, stemmed from my disbelief and disgust at how Pinkie Pie is portrayed as a psychopath in fanon.

In a way, I was trying to use Twilight as a metaphor for the reader - when I read Cupcakes, and realized I was starting to see Pinkie Pie as a psychopath when I would watch episodes, I became disgusted at myself and realized that I needed to change something. So I thought of the worst case scenario to make myself guilty: What if Pinkie Pie were to die? What would you do different?

Well, these thoughts struck a nerve, and I felt terrible, but in the end I found I had stopped regarding Pinkie Pie as a psychopath and started regarding her as a beloved character again. So I decided to write my feelings into this fic and share it with everyone, so they could feel the same.

So if you don't like it, that's cool, but please don't call it pretentious. I poured my soul into this.

      ReplyDelete
    66. @Streek471

There's a fanfic series called "Nightfall at Sweet Apple Acres" where everyone dies one by one, I think that everyone but Pinkie and AJ has been done (it's extremely good, by the way).

Also, there's one called "The Last Element". So sad.

      ReplyDelete
    67. @David Reinold

It's funny...You see, I read Cupcakes and it's many spinoffs for the first time last night, myself.

I started off laughing at them...of course goofy Pinkie Pie would be the mass murderer of them all. It's a cliche of sorts.

After about the 5th sequel/spinoff fic I started getting angry. It's amazing how much negativity is in the pony community. Why do we all have to make something lovable dark and twisted? Are we all that screwed up in the head?

I read the synopsis of this story and almost tried to chew you out for making yet another horrible story butchering a sweet character (even though I honestly don't like her much). Then I actually did the mature thing and read the story before judging. I still say I'm glad I did. And judging from your last post I'm not the only one who feels that way about the constant PP Grimdarkness.

      ReplyDelete
    68. Short and moving; the best kinds of stories. The almost poetic nature of those one line breaks created an even more impacting atmosphere.

      ReplyDelete
    69. @Quilton

Equestria is such a nice world. Isn't it kids?

      A little too nice.

Ergo, people who live in a cold, cold world can't help but imagine what life would be like for the characters if SHIT GOT REAL.

      @Marrock

"I still can't figure out how, when you say you love these characters so much, you can turn around and do everything you can to make them miserable, kill them, make them psychotic serial killers, rape victims, and ever other evil you can imagine being inflicted upon them?"

Oh. Wow. Gee. Well, I think I can answer that: they're not real fucking people, they're fictional characters. LOL, duh. I don't literally "love" ANY fictional character and anyone that seriously does, seriously needs to get a life. Some of ya'll are some Geordi LaForge ass muhfuckas for real, fallin in love with the Holodeck n ish. ROFL

Pinkie Pie being a psychotic serial killer is FUNNY because Pinkie Pie is FUCKING PINKIE PIE btw.

      ReplyDelete
    70. It was good. But it felt like it could have used something to make it better... I think it should have lingered a bit more on Twilight trying to take time with Pinkie or maybe focus on how everyone else was feeling... But then again, the form of the story was for this to be a sort of wistful tale and not an in depth one so...

      ReplyDelete
    71. @mycutiemarkisagunI get your point. I do. Course maybe, just maybe, it would be better if people stopped talking about what a cold dead world we lived in and tried to make it a brighter, happier one.

I agree with you that seeing Pinkie go homicidal was funny once. After the 80th time or so, I think maybe there's a little too much fixation there.

And that's the last I have to say on this.

      ReplyDelete
    72. @Quilton

Oh, nice logic bro. Its OK to laugh at Pinkie dismembering, flaying, and disemboweling Dash while she sobs and screams "NO PINKIE DON'T, PLEASE!!!".......so long as there aren't too many spin-offs or sequels written about it. 4 sequels? No prob! 5? Ooooh, dark troubling implications about the fanbase. NEGRO PLEASE!

You wanna know *why* it had so many sequels? Because its infamous. Legendary. Its the only story tagged [GRIMDARK AS FUCK] on EQD. Its sheer infamy on TVTropes is what enticed me to read a fan fic for a TV franchise I HAD NEVER WATCHED EVERRRRR and take interest in said franchise. Countless great, well-written fan fics pay homage to it. Countless cheap imitators attempted to replicate its success. Matter of fact, I WILL BET YOU MONEY the MLP writers will have the balls to tease us with some inside humor about it some day. That's right. ON THE REAL SHOW. Watch.

Also, the original ending kinda sucked. That's another reason for all the Cupcakes Expanded Universe (ha!) stuff.

      ReplyDelete
    73. I read this before it was on Equestria Daily. /hipster

      ReplyDelete
    74. @Quilton

Its cold world, but its also beautiful in its own infinitely complex way. I saw someone in a Fallout: Equestria discussion say we live in a Crapsack World in the comments once. I wanted to smack them. The whole point of Post-Apocalyptic literature is to remind you that you *don't* live in a Crapsack World. Hell, when I'm not DEFENDING THE HONOR OF GRIMDARK at EQD, I'm usually on NetRoots blogs smacking around a misguided progressive that wants to equate America with North Korea or some nonsense. We live in a world where the sum of human knowledge is available at your fingertips. Twilight would kill for that shit. Take a look around, there's some other neat things on this planet too. :)

      ReplyDelete
    75. @David Reinold

Just a clue: Replying defensively to bad reviews looks bad.

Soul is good... but anybody can do soul. Craft and honesty are better.

When you preach at your readers, you always run the risk of being called pretentious or condescending. Deal with it.

      ReplyDelete
    76. @iisaw

Yeah, I regret posting that now...but at the time I was genuinely offended by the statement. I was never trying to preach, it just ended up like that. If anything, I was preaching at myself for allowing a fanfic to affect the way I looked at Pinkie Pie's character...and then I put my thoughts into words and shared it.

      ReplyDelete
    77. SPOILAR ALERT: the ppl who criticized this fic without reading it because of what they ASSUMED the story was look like idiots.

ALSO: I found "Mr. Reinold"s response to that critic hilariously pretentious. IRONY!

REAL SPOILER ALERT: I thought the story started strong but just went totally off the rails at the Nurse's. The M Night Twist was obvious once she started going ALL YOUR FAULT to Twi. Then Pinkie is back and...yay? Teach me to ice skate, cut to Six Feet Under finale death 15 years later, roll credits. Pfft. Color me unimpressed. Pouring your soul into something isn't enough when it comes to making art. You have to use your head to sculpt it in the end.

      ReplyDelete
    78. Bittersweet was better at displaying the coping mechanisms each character showed, but I'd almost say that this story was the better one in terms of plot (due almost entirely to how terribad I though the first chapter of Bittersweet was).

      Dunno.

      ReplyDelete
    79. @David Reinold

I think you just explained better than I could on fimF why I can't truly enjoy this fic.

I wouldn't use the word pretentious because that's the wrong word. It feels like less of a story than it was the author's preachings wrapped in the trappings of a story. I don't necessarily even believe it's the worst thing for an author to soapbox...but it just doesn't quite work here. The focus is not really on the characters here...it's on the audience. Twilight's a device and Pinkie's an excuse. The focus is a theoretical reader and then the story flows from there.

I dunno...maybe it's just because I've never had to think about Pinkie in terms of Cupcakes. I didn't read it until after Party of One. My standard for her is that episode pretty much so maybe I've just instinctually rejected your thesis.

Still don't think it's a bad story or even a mediocre one...it just doesn't work for me... even besides the sudden development of super powers *jk*

      ReplyDelete
    80. @Marrock

To be fair, some of the most awesome characters out there are really messed up, evil characters.

After reading this fic myself, I find that people are having knee-jerk reactions to what they think it's about without having read it :) It actually has a really good lesson.

    83. I haven't cried like that for awhile. It was a happy, sorrowful cry. Beautiful story... Pinkie's always been my favourite pony and this made me see hre a whole new way.

My only gripe was the ending - it felt a bit rushed. But nonetheless, one of my favourite sad stories. Probably my favourite.

      ReplyDelete
    84. Brilliant! Definitely a lesson that we all need to be retaught periodically. The last couple paragraphs brought me to tears. I'm normally more of a fan of happy endings, but this was perfectly bittersweet. Probably the most touching fanfic I've read in any fandom.

      Hi mister foul-mouthed troll ?

      >they're not real fucking people
-Of course not, they are magical talking ponies, DUH !

      >they're fictional characters.
-They are also characters created using our knowledge of the 'human individual' in order to properly replicate emotions and feeling for the characters of the series. ...duh!

And, being such creatures/individuals also ruled by feeling, emotions, and the everyday-events of life... People might not appreciate to see 50T of 'poop' being dumped on the characters of a series focused on the 'positive' things of life.

Of course, life being composed of good and less good things, it is normal to see some amount of ''bad'' happening every now and then... then again you/we have to remember that 'this' is the MLP:FiM UNIVERSE!
Bad stuff shouldn't overwhelm Good stuff like a tidal wave. Some 'dark and sad', from time to time, to balance things a bit, to create some diversity... ok.
But, with this series, the STANDARD and NORMAL state of things, basicly, is : 'Positive'... not 'negative'.

...also, *Boot to the Head* about Pinky Pie, you *politely censored* meany-pants...

    89. SPOILERS (also long...sorry!):

There is something darkly ironic about ostensibly railing against the portrayal of Pinkie as a monster by writing a story that portrays her as moribund.

It made me think of the sequence in the film The Cell, where the boy talks about drowning a bird he was keeping because he knew his abusive father would torture it if he found it.

Does a nostalgic, bittersweet meditation on the brevity of life really evoke the "real" Pinkie that much more than black comedy in the worst of taste?

The thing about "Cupcakes" that made it a violation of Pinkie's character wasn't HOW she behaved, but what she DID. In that infamous story, she is fun-loving, silly and whimsical, with a prankster's wit and an abiding love for baking. The BAD part is the torture, murder and cannibalism, but it's undeniably portrayed in a "Pinkie" kind of way. It's not a monster wearing a bad Pinkie disguise, it's Pinkie as she would be IF she were psychotic.

In Pretty in Pink, it is suggested that Pinkie's fun-loving exterior conceals a secret burden - the knowledge that she will die young.

Certainly, that addition was far, FAR from the deviation from canon that Cupcakes was, but in its own way, it portrayed her good humour, at least to an extent, as a lie.

Couple that with Twilight's vision, in which, as an acknowledged placeholder for the reader, she is essentially told "appreciate Pinkie more or the author will kill her...sooner," and you get a story that is actually quite a bit darker than it seems on the surface.

But even so, I should note that it was by no means poorly written.

      ReplyDelete
    90. And so, Twilight Sparkle delved into the dark, forbidden art of Necromancy.

    92. Really glad* darn auto correct haha (instead of Derp lol)

      ReplyDelete
    93. I thought this was good. I like sad, but not depressing. Seemed more of a life story to me than a death story (ultimately). I also like short.

Maybe its just me, but I didn't see a connection with cupcakes until I started going through comments. I still don't see it.

      ReplyDelete
    94. @Saddlesoap
To my personal opinion... ''the-story-that-shall-not-be-named'' was nothing more but a pathetic attempt to replicate the bad taste level of torture and degradation of the equally bad series of movies of S.A.W. (I mean, 1 movie was fine, a second one was basicly the same thing, then it's rince-and-repeat for 3-4 other annoying movies...). (It is also worthy, a million times worthy, of ALL the *Boot to the Head* that I could ever find.)

...now... If people could STOP talking about whatever other story, good or very bad ones, and return to *THIS* one here and now ?
That would be a good idea, no ?

Not to be rude, but my comment *was* about Pretty in Pink. I direct you to the author's own words in the foreword:

"...Everything here comes from the bottom of my heart as a jumble of affection for the pony in question, my disgust at the notorious fanfic which played her up as a psychopath, and my most sincere heart-wrenching emotions that would be felt if she were to simply stop existing..."

To a great extent, this story is a screed condemning Cupcakes and its relatives. My analysis took that into account.

You are basically suggesting that we discuss Apocalypse Now without mentioning Vietnam.

    96. >my disgust at the notorious fanfic
-*raise an eyebrow* Well... This phrase catch my interest, for now.

      >If I could have foreseen what was going to happen, I might have...okay, maybe I couldn't have prevented it
-Depending on your interpretation of the Space-Time Continuum and the existance of parallele Realities, it is possible to alter the events of the past/present to change the future, while knowing one(1) possible future.

      >She lost her will to live because you passed her actions off as just her typical silliness.
      >"Twilight Sparkle, you killed Pinkie Pie."
-Well, that's some big contrived nonsense there...

      >I awoke with a start.
-A dream ? ...I can't really decide if this is a good or bad thing, at the moment ? ...

      >The important thing, I realized, was not to tell Pinkie Pie that I knew. Doing so would make her prolonged happiness that much more difficult to achieve.
-That... or she could try to find a CURE or discover whatever mean needed to solve Pinky Pie's problem !
We don't even know ''what'' exactly she's supposed to have ? Also, in a world of technology and HUGE amount of magic... chances are that, with the right resources (like an all-knowledgeable Twilight, an Alicorn mentor, the 6 Elements of Harmony, other resources, etc...), a cure could be found in time, maybe... But no, ''drama''.

... At least, the last section, the ending part, was relatively... Interesting. The wording choice of the last large paragraph, in the end part, was particular ...

... And, after reading this story, I can't help but wonder : ''What the heck was all this about people going all-crazy about those other stories ?''. Seriously, people should really focus their mind at the right place, before reading a story and then starting to try to link it to other stories that have NO link whatsoever with this one ...
(On a side note, the author should REALLY change his 'Author's note:', at fimfiction, for the ''infamous story'' has NO reason to be mentioned there, since it has NOTHING to do with this story. It's almost like asking for trouble.)

And I, me, was referencing about the part mentioning the ''other story'' :
      >The thing about "--------" that made it a violation of Pinkie's character

      ...and only that.

Also, I believe you went and interpretated things a bit too much at the extremes.
Obviously, the ''reaction'' to the ''other story'', this person had, was what drove this same person to write this piece.
It isn't a counter-story-whatever, but simply the produce of an emotion, induced by the ''other story'', with the desire to create a story showing the death of a character with sober dignity.

Put simply : ''I feel sad after reading story-X, I write sad story''. There's no need to overthink this and try to dig up ''dirt''.
      Politely saying.

    98. I didn't want to read this at first because I expected it to leave me feeling horribly depressed like [Sad] stories usually do. After reading a few of the comments, I decided to give it a try anyway, and was pleasantly surprised.

    99. I freaking love bittersweet stories.

      This is a wonderful piece.

    100. Anypony else turned your head sideways and then felt stupid while reading the title?

    101. @Nova25, the point of the disease was that it was incurable. There wasn't supposed to be a way to make Pinkie well again, because that would defeat the purpose of the story.

You are right. Ask the author. Cupcakes was gore porn and nothing else. It is the only 'grimdark as fuck' story on the blog because it's utter shit and we just fire those types of stories into the sun now. Like spiderses is the only godlike fic. We fired all of its sequels into the sun.
Cupcakes was just first. And the people who are obsessed with it creep me out a bit. They quite obviously have some sort of issues.

FWIW, this is a beautiful story that carries the _message_ of FiM into a sadder world.

Yes but the fact that you didnt have Twilight even try just feels absolutely wrong I mean come on these Ponies would go to the ends of the Equestria to save each others lives... Or at least that's how I see it.

3 stars It's good but it could have been much better if you explored the that fact and the true effect it would have on EVERY pony brings it down.

    104. Just read this story (Pretty in Pink). To me it was great, sad but sweet and to think all it took was to be her friend to make her live a little longer (15 years is a lot tho XD). The artist Dx11 did a flash ending for it here

link: http://fav.me/d4d6s8v (Even tho it a bit off because after reading the story, Pinkie was not a 1 year old when she first meet Twilight)

And those of you with 'I hate Cupcakes' because its 'gore' just go and read a normal story (and to you who made a connection to porn from that story......), since no one in the world could be that twist to kill someone like that... o wait have you watch the news, movies or picked up a history book lately....

Stories are meant make you think or show an emotion, be it sadness, anger or joy for what it made you feel. Seems 'Cupcakes' had some effect on you.

For me i loved 'Cupcakes' for one it showed how far somepony can go ('Party of one' episode really didn't help her Sanity) and the FanFic Silent Ponyville by jake heritagu gave cupcakes a pretty cool origin/prequel story you should go read it

      Link: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/06/story-silent-ponyville.html

and read this ending after Link: http://fav.me/d3k0ov4

In closing, i really do not care for the opinions of people hating a story for what it contains(They hate Shipping for the romantic relationships, Grimdark because someone dies, Comedies because they didn't get the joke etc). If you hated every story because some one dies or is killed violently, then your living in a dream, since in the real world exist people just as cruel, just you don't get see or it is sugar coated. I bet sopa and pipa would have tried to block that out to.
