• Music of the Day #23

Celestia is disappointed in those of you that don't include a genre.
We have a ton of music this time around, I think there were 24 when I counted.

Just a reminder: if you don't include a genre it's just going to be labeled with the parent instrumenta/remix/vocal tags. For instrumental especially, your listeners will most likely plummet. Please include something so people can pick your song based on stuff they like!

  • Addition to Bronycon Venue Announcement

Apparently we completely forgot their press release yesterday! Bronycon has released a bunch of extra information in regards to their venue announcement. Head on down past the break to check it all out!

  • Comic: She Was Not Prepared for This / Gravity Rises

Knowing Luna's excellent social skills, I wouldn't be surprised if that black book at the end was something similiar to that.

And we have a bit of gravity magic below.  Click for full!

Celebrate the return of pony with some super upbeat pony music! We have a whole pile of episodes ahead of us that I know I'm not the only one excited to check out!

  • Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser Ends Tonight!

Just a reminder to everyone that the fundraiser held by the Traveling Pony Museum ends tonight at midnight. If you haven't dropped in to lend some support you'd better do it quick before the event ends tonight!

Check again after the break for the full details about what your donations can do for needy families!

  • Playdate Premiere Party in NY - Writeup by Greg

As some of you probably know, the Playdate Premiere Party was going on over in New York.  What started as an invite only event ended up opening up to a select few, with the clause that you needed someone under the age of 18 with you to get in.  While some people decided to borrow their nieces and nephews for the day, others actually brought their kids!

Greg sent a massive writeup of what exactly happened at the party.  Head on down past the break to read it all!
  • Gameloft My little Pony Name Share Post

The Gameloft pony game released a few days ago, and aside from the completely insane costs of unlocking ponies, it has been rather successful.  It is slowly making it's way up the iOS charts, coming in at top 10 for the game section.  Unfortunately the numerous compatibility issues with Android seem to have stifled it quite a bit over there.

If Trixie was working on commission, she'd be making a fortune.

Anyway, we haven't tossed out a share post since Android popped up, and a few people are reporting that their previously incompatible devices are now working so I figured I'd get one going.

Head on down to the comments and toss your name in.  If you wanted to add some of us from EQD, both me and Xyro are playing it now:

Neither of us are on much (mainly because Trixie requires a stupid amount of gems to gamble for), but we are on sometimes!

And another note, Gameloft accounts are cross-platform, so feel free to drop your iOS account too.

  • Artisan Pony Crafts Compilation #4

Royalty in MLP sure do seem to get the royal treatment when it comes to creations outside of the show! I can't tell you how many stunning headers have been of the princesses due to the sheer quality of the work involved.

Speaking of amazing works, check out the variety of pony goods on hand after the break!

  • Drawfriend Stuff #622

I was going to give Sombra his own post, but you guys didn't draw much of our new ponified natural disaster thing.   Poor guy... He got a section at the bottom at least.

    Onward to the arts!

  • Story: Background Pony (Update Complete!)

    [Sad] [Slice of Life] [Mystery]

    Author: short skirts and explosions
Description: “My name is Lyra Heartstrings, and you will not remember me. You won't even remember this conversation. Just like with everypony else I've ever met, everything I do or say will be forgotten. Every letter I've written will appear blank; every piece of evidence I've left behind will end up missing. I'm stuck here in Ponyville because of the same curse that has made me so forgettable. Still, that doesn't stop me from doing the one thing that I love: making music. If my melodies find their way into your heart, then there is still hope for me. If I can't prove that I exist, I can at least prove that my love for each and every one of you exists. Please, listen to my story, my symphony, for it is me.”
    All links after the break!

  • Story Updates November 11 (Afternoon)

    Story updates! Sunglasses! Hats! Yay.

  • Comic: Enthusiasm Gap / Luna's Problem / Test

Poor Twilight, I guess not everyone is going to be cooperative, but then again most people don't really like solicitors. At least you're not trying to sell them vacuum cleaners or distribute pamphlets on the glories of the Lunar Republic.

    Comics guys! Click for full.

  • "The Crystal Empire", Parts 1 and 2: Episode Followup

    It's good to be back.

Season three is officially upon us after months of waiting, and we begin thirteen new episodes of pony with a pretty solid two-parter about the emergence of the Crystal Empire and its former ruler, King Sombra. The two-part episodes of Friendship is Magic tend to be the stronger ones, and this was no exception despite some minor issues.

For those unaware of what a followup tends to be, at least the way I do them- it is meant as a recap of the episode's highlights as well as a little bit of talking from myself about particular points from it that I think could be addressed. While it contains reviews of particularly interesting segments, it is not meant as a comprehensive review, nor will it devolve into one.

They're also playfully snarky, but you should expect that from me by now.

    Ready? Let's talk crystal ponies.

  • Original Hush Now Quiet Now Lyrics

Chris Savino over on Twitter has released the original Hush Now Quiet Now lyrics from the Stare Master.   It looks like only one extra set was added, but it was a short song in general anyway.

    Check it out here!

Thanks to FoER Admin for the heads up.
  • Comic: The Confrontation / A Helping Hand / Limited Vocabulary

Inb4 a flood of comics dedicated to Sombra's social butterfly personality!

  • Daniel Ingram and Meghan McCarthy Interviewed

We have a couple of interviews this time around.  The first was done by SF Weekly a few days ago revolving around Daniel Ingram and a bit of comparison between MLP and Littlest Petshop.  You guys should totally check out his songs from that show, they are actually pretty catchy! Find it all in the link here!

And on the other side of the internet, Big Shiny Robot did a quick one with Meghan McCarthy.  She answers a few questions that might interest you all, but it is a bit short.  More reason to check it out if you are limited on time though.  Find it here!
  • Nightly Roundup #494

I was kind of hoping for this, not gonna lie.  The smoke was begging for it.

Have some roundup while I pay DHX To do a Samurai Applejack crossover with Somber.
