...and they don't say "VERY SPECIAL SOMEPONY" the whole episode do they? Plz tell me this isn't gonna be like the shit DBZ dub where they always say "THE NEXT DIMENSION" instead of any reference to death.
Sweetie Bell singing, yay! ^_^
and the CMC skipping is the CUTEST...GIF....EVER...
I don't consider myself high and mighty for not watching the episode when it leaked, but the wait was sooooooooooo worth it. A nice new song that furthers my desire for an official soundtrack.
@Spirit Storm Well of course he got sad... with what he saw. He didn't talk to Twist yet, so he doesn't KNOW that it was just her being polite with fat pony.
Also, I counted a little while back the amount of dialogue Big Mac has in this episode and what I think is the second episode with the most Big Mac dialogue, which is Applebuck Season. Think I had 48 words for Applebuck Season and 66 for this one. Including all the eeyup's and eenope's and the real mushy love words in this one. :P
No Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres, no Pinkie at Sugarcube Corner, no Rarity at the carousel boutique... It's like they're taunting us with a lack of mane ponies.
Now, fanfic writers and artists, take a note. You're allowed to have ponies show affection in the way real ponies do, like nuzzling. (Though, please keep the bloodless nipping where I can't see it. Ouchies.)
I love this episode, it's definitely going to my top five list. The moral here (don't force people into relationships even if your heart is in the right place) is one I can really get behind, as someone who is single and a regular target of "we need to find you a girlfriend!" remarks.
And Doctor Whooves splashy? Well...okay, so he's a little showy at times, but give him credit: he was probably just racing off to save the universe at the moment!
Random other stuff : -Glitters ! They make everything better... except Vampires, of course. -Twist really was just being polite with ‘fat pony’, sadly not knowing of the other pony being her. -Applebloom ‘’panicking’’ is quite entertaining and funy. ;) -Apparently love give super strength, allowing ponies to destroy walls&doors and drag ENTIRE house. -Seems like Cows&Bulls are officially a race in the MLP:FiM world. -Also... is it just me or do we see a ‘tire’ in the ground, when Big Mac is in the hole ? -Ponies shouldn’t play with other ponies’ love... Heh. Good thing WE aren’t ponies, right ?
Cute stuff : -The thing with Twist placing a heart on Cheerilee, in that game(name?) was pretty adorable. :) -Adorable, adorable CMC song. -The way the 3 CMC mini-jump is just WAY too cute. :D
The country of Equestria : -Where they keep super artefacts of doom, forgotten in a old castle. -Where they leave deadly entity of Chaos in their garden. -...and where they leave the formula for dangerous potions inside common books accessible by all...
-Insane quantity of odd, strange, and quite funny new faces and expressions. ;)
Pretty good episode. Was one of my more favorite ones for the adorability factors.
And now that it's over, time to get some sleep! You guys have fun with your theorizing, and episode reviews and summaries and all that stuff you guys do afterwards. lol
Also amused to see that all the Mane Six seemed to be out on dates. (And that possibly includes Twilight, because of course she'd bring books on a date. She's probably dating a bibliophile colt.)
Lol how Twi was the only Mane 6 to show up. Which means now she ties with Applejack for most appreances.
And that snout nuzzling is so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute~ <3 Though its more like an eskimo kiss. Reminds me how we did things with my babybrother. Gosh we had such woozy-wootzy names for him just like those two did the whole episode through.
Not THE best episode, but still a great one anyway. Wonderful song (and one that the CMC didn't have to purposefully sing bad in, huzzah!), did I see Derpy standing next to Dr. Whooves during it? Big Mac got actual lines! And never have I laughed so hard at somepony yelling out "Schloopy Doo!" over and over before. Also, the background music when Cheerilee and Big Mac drink the love poison? totally sells just how out of character they are, amazing.
Probably my third favorite episode of season two, behind the ending of the two-parter and the Luna one.
Can't believe I was scared about this episode. Even had The Best Night Ever earlier this morning, showing how they like to troll when it comes to romance. Bravo, Studio B, bravo!
I dunno, I didn't like it. There were a lot of great parts, and the CMCs plus Cheerilee and the appearance of Twilight made it great, but Big Mac SUCKED. He still has NO LINES apart from Eeyup and Nope with the exception of the fourth episode of season one. The humour was also way too forced, so I can't give anything more than two and a half stars. =(
When I heard that this episode had gotten leaked, I avoided it like the plague. It turned out to be worth the wait, as this has replaced Lesson Zero as the funniest episode so far this season!
A fun episode, well worth the early purchase from iTunes. Cheerily is one understanding teacher... what with oming to her senses in wedding apparel on a mattress at the bottom of a pit with a hulking stallion standing over her. (And do you suppose that was Rarity's mattress? Well, at least she got a new neighbor in Berry Punch to make up for the damage to her home and possessions.)
Loved all of the cute faces, poses, skips, panicking, ant's-view-of-Twilight, cherry-nibbling, and so on. The animators had a lot of fun with this one.
I really enjoyed it, but I also hope this is the last of the CMC/Apple Family episodes this season. I want more of the Mane Six please.

Jokes aside, that was even better than I hoped it’d turn out to be! Relationships basically confirmed to the highest degree, and Big Mac didn’t really say anything that wasn’t googoo talk. Best part (for me at least) was hearing Cheerilee actually say “Big Mac,” as opposed to Big Macintosh. Thought they would never be allowed to use that. I’m a bit sad that I had to avoid being in any IRCs or chats until it was over; didn’t want to spoil it. But oh well, great episode as always!
yeah i feel like they've totally painted the character into a corner with that ridiculous voice. Listening to him say anything but Eeyup hurts the ears.
Definitely one of the weaker eps of the season **IMHO** altho I'd still put it ahead of Sisterhooves :\
You know, Sweetie Belle should sing more, and scheme less, her plans always seem to fail spectacularly. Also, after the Cutie Pox incident, Apple Bloom probably should've demanded that they read the whole entry for the love potion before brewing it.
That being said, I enjoyed the episode more than most CMC episodes. My favorite part about the ending was how it's left open whether or not Cheerilee and Big Mac actually get together.
I think that was really smart of them to (nearly) completely omit the Mane 6 from this episode. Leaves their relationship status nice and ambiguous, so none of the fans (shippers or non-shippers) will flip out.
I mean, yes, Cheerilee and Big Mac do have sizable followings, but it's not as big of a base-breaker than say, using Fluttershy in that formula. Plus, pretty much everypony in this episode was trolling at one point or another. Delicious.
Little moments I noticed: - BGM from the pilot prologue played during the beginning, for whatever reason. - Cheerilee's face when the CMCs asked her, why she doesn't have a special somepony. That face said so much, without becoming an issue for the rest of the episode - Scootaloo really can't fly yet. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom had to help her up to the cloud. But she can hover, as was also shown this episode. - Was this the first episode without any Applejack?
What ya mean? Dragon, Chaos raining down, Kingdom falling; that´s all stuff for great adventure! Plus some hopeless romantic stuff about a knight and a princess. RD/Twi would have so enjoyed reading this together. Squee~ <3
@Draglord2505 I agree i liked that ending too. Given some spoilers i thought they´d stay friends for sure. But at the end they didn´t said that, they had said that at the beginning when the girls tried to get em together for the first time.^^

Sweetiebelle's voice is changing.
ReplyDeleteCheerilee doesn't get out much and Sweetie Belle has been reading Rarity's romance novels.
ReplyDeleteOk Sweetie makes the best seductive faces.
ReplyDeletePinned the heart right on Cheerilee's chest and she didn't flinch or care at all.
ReplyDeleteI saw Twist with the Chubby Grey pony, guess that kills all the Twist/Snails shippers

ReplyDeleteI don't consider myself high and mighty for not watching the episode when it leaked, but the wait was sooooooooooo worth it. A nice new song that furthers my desire for an official soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteCaramel has a girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteBye-bye, CaraMac and CaraTwi. XD
@Justin
ReplyDeleteNoooooes! D:
Twist really doesn't match with that weird fat pony...
I say, it was probably just to be polite with him.
I saw derpy with dr whooves at the first pull out on the bridge on the lower right
ReplyDeleteSHE JUST DID IT AGAIN, STOP HATIN, damn every filly can't be a supernatural flying prodigy like Rainbow Dash
ReplyDeleteThis is awkward now.
ReplyDeleteThat's an apple tree...
ReplyDeleteHow DUH
You got something in your teeth! LOLOLOL
Also...
The best line evar! "OH COME ON!!!"
@Nova25
ReplyDeleteNope, because if you look closely, the other pony next to Twist got sad or jealius at the sight and dropped the card she wanted to give him.
You have something stuck in your teeth... so romantic. <3
ReplyDeleteOh, and I guess I'm supposed to say that funerals, death and religion are all now "canon".
ReplyDeleteOh hell I hate when I get stuff stuck in my teeth.
ReplyDeletelmfao this is good situational humor
ReplyDeleteoh come on!!!
ReplyDeleteDat caption of them under her legs....
ReplyDeleteYou wanna read a book! OH OF COURSE!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOblivious to OBVIOUS CMC tells for concern!
LOL
Twilight what did you just do?
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor is NOT splashy!
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor is NOT splashy!
ReplyDeletevacuuming a rainbow?
ReplyDeleteI love how they just simply suck the color out of a rainbow, haha.
ReplyDeleteHaha Twilight the unintentional enabler. And the Sorcerer's Apprentice!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that's how rainbows work...
ReplyDeleteSweetie Bell has now surpassed the pony in Hearth's Warming Eve that shouted "WE GET IT, MOVE ON!"
ReplyDeleteOh silly Twilight, you set yourself up for that one.
Book with a dangerous love spell,
ReplyDeleteGive it to children on Hearts and Hooves day.
Trollight.
The CMCs faces in this range from cute to kinda creepy
ReplyDelete@D. Shadows
ReplyDeleteno fun in making sense...
Is it me or did Twilight and Sweetie's voices sound strange?
ReplyDeleteTogether... To test it... Together!
ReplyDeleteLOL
JEEZ TWILIGHT, JUST GIVE EM A PIPEBOMB RECIPE WHILE YOU'RE AT IT
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I've always wondered why a magic-based society wouldn't treat love potion usage as a capital crime.
Gotta love how they don't even ask for a moment if Twilight has anyone special. xD
ReplyDelete"Hey Twilight, do you have a very special somepony?"
"Oh, no. I never have a very special somepony. All the colts in Canterlot always made fun of me-"
"Yeah that's really somethin' there, Twi. Gotta go, we're setting my brother up with our teacher because she doesn't have anypony special."
"..."
The country of Equestria :
ReplyDelete-Where they keep super artefacts of doom, forgotten in a old castle.
-Where they leave deadly entity of Chaos in their garden.
-...and where they leave the formula for dangerous potions inside common books accessible by all...
Video Games are canon in Ponyville! BUCK YEAH!
ReplyDeleteApple Bloom with the "eeyup". Love it.
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE COVER THERE EARS NOW
ReplyDeleteUsing the vacuum to suck the color out of a rainbow....
ReplyDelete...seems legit.
Rainbow Juice, remember...
ReplyDeleteI guess the punch is spicy!
Also... More cute skips and Sweetie YES!
Incoming VERY mushy love lines...
ReplyDeleteBet the love potion didn't even work or if it did, things are going to go wrong for the Cutie Makr Crusaders.
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP Mac :O
ReplyDeleteIt's like Derpy talking jdfakjsdlkfjakjsdf
Take a drink everytime they say "very special somepony".
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP BIG MAC YOU CAN TALK
ReplyDeleteAnyone else picturing the VOs in the recording studio having a very difficult time not laughing hysterically as they record these lines?
ReplyDelete@Nightweaver20xx
ReplyDeleteDid someone forget about Applebuck Season? lol
yep, "Very Special Somepony" definitely is this show's equivalent of "I'M GONNA SEND YOU TO THE NEXT DIMENSION GOKU!!!"
ReplyDeletei love those snout snugglings as some kind of pony kissing. So cute~
ReplyDeleteSo cute~
Did i said its cute?
@Spirit Storm
ReplyDeleteWell of course he got sad... with what he saw. He didn't talk to Twist yet, so he doesn't KNOW that it was just her being polite with fat pony.
Lots of new Big Mac lines!
ReplyDeleteWell, you wanted Big Mac to say more! :D
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Q-Bert fillies during the song. i saw that but forgot to comment! LOL
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of people commenting on Big Mac "finally" talking. If you recall, he has talked before in past episodes like Applebuck Season.
ReplyDelete@mycutiemarkisagun
ReplyDeleteWell, they did say that Caramel had a girlfriend.
Big Mac WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
ReplyDeleteFavorite line is Sweetie Belle's "OH COME ON!!!!!!" It was just so perfect. Claire Corlett is a great young voice actress.
ReplyDeleteLots of Mac dialog!
ReplyDelete@Javier
ReplyDelete>Video Games are canon in Ponyville! BUCK YEAH!
WAIT WHAT, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, HUH
oh man so many faces
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the cure was, because obviously someone (Zecora) should always know how to make one.
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteYeah, but he only had about 3 lines in Applebuck Season and has said virtually nothing besides "Eyup" and "Nope" since then.
Oh word, they still sell FLOAM?
ReplyDeleteSay if Aj doesn´t show up this epsiode, doesn´t that mean that Twi and AJ are tied at 31:31 or 32:32 episodes show-ups again???
ReplyDeletehe had another line in family appreciation day too.
ReplyDeleteAlso they have vacuums. More electricity, unless it was magic, since there was no cord.
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long I forgot. That was more than a year ago.
ANOTHER ALICORN IN THE BOOK!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Love poison brought about the fall of a kingdom and CHAOS!!!
OOOOOOOOHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh
And the CMC have it! /)O_O(\
You're Doomed!!!
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteAnd a little bit in Winter Wrap Up. Mac is just the strong silent type.
ReplyDeleteAnother Alicorn princess in the illustration. People need to stop whining about Cadence now... More Alicorns are already established.
ReplyDeleteSo Caramel has a gf and Twist is with the pudgy pony... seems the only ships this episode sunk were the most random ones
ReplyDelete>Potion brings about the reign of Discord.
ReplyDelete>Keep the recipe in a public book.
>Trollestia Face
SMOKING apples!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's one powerful imagination Applebloom!
@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteNope. If I remember correctly, I counted 48 words in Applebuck Season. And there's about 66 total in this one.
This makes twice in one season the CMC have doomed Ponyville.
ReplyDeleteThese girls need to get their cutie marks before they bring on a proper apocalypse.
Scootaloo can't do math.
ReplyDeleteKinda sucks for people that make only mobile phones...now i got to wait for it to be on youtube before doing anything else
ReplyDeleteApplebloom ‘’panicking’’ is quite entertaining and funy. ;)
ReplyDelete@mycutiemarkisagun
ReplyDeleteDuring the song, there's a shot with three kid ponies playing arcade machines.
Well now for '2 Alicorns Only' Fundamentalists to proclaim that Princess in the story was designed by Hasbro and shoved down the creators throats
ReplyDeleteDem Scrunchy muzzles!
ReplyDeleteCute and disturbing!
Cutie Mark Crusaders Lucrezia Borgias, yay!
ReplyDelete@DJLowrider *cough* name one
ReplyDelete"How is gettin hitched supposed to keep them apart."
ReplyDeleteOh Applebloom, you don't know much about marriage do you?
Sweetie Belle taking a leader position. Good for her!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAccomplishing in a second what's supposed to take an hour, Scootaloo apparently has temporal warping abilities
ReplyDeleteNo Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres, no Pinkie at Sugarcube Corner, no Rarity at the carousel boutique... It's like they're taunting us with a lack of mane ponies.
ReplyDelete@crris14
ReplyDeleteIt's already on youtube, it has been for days.
There's also a larger amount of the newer expressions in this episode.
ReplyDelete^^^ Elements of gaming is NOW canon! I derped my spelling
ReplyDeleteBig Mac be hopping like Pinkie Pie and dragging anvils behind him.
ReplyDeleteIncoming poor poor Berry Punch being "relocated". lol
ReplyDeleteBulls... what?
ReplyDeleteSeems like Cows&Bulls are officially a race in the MLP:FiM world.
ReplyDeleteDat Powerhouse Big Mac!!! LOL!!! Puling a cart of anvils against 2 bulls!
ReplyDeleteAND A FRIGGIN HOUSE!!!
Pepé Le Pew? enope bigmac
ReplyDeleteIt puts the lotion on the hoof, or it gets the hose again!
ReplyDeleteLOL
It's a trap!
ReplyDelete... literally.
This is kind of hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAlso, yes. Cheerilee just destroyed... no, decimated, the entire front of Carousel Boutique.
ReplyDeleteAnd strike!
slow mooooooooooottttttttttttiiiiiiiiiiooooooooooonnnnnn
ReplyDeleteTIRE in that dirt! Post human apocalypse is now canon for Equestria!
ReplyDeleteI can see Rarity pulling a Carl standing in her newly expanded doorway. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY FRICKIN DOOR?!"
ReplyDeleteEND OF THE WORLD FOR THE CMC!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd then all shipping fics died.
ReplyDeleteNow go do chores so I can get my Mac on! LOL
ReplyDeleteThose two are trolling.
ReplyDeleteDat trolling Cheerilee and Big Mac.
ReplyDeleteCMC > Spike for dramatic "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"-ing
ReplyDeleteEh.
ReplyDeleteNow, fanfic writers and artists, take a note. You're allowed to have ponies show affection in the way real ponies do, like nuzzling. (Though, please keep the bloodless nipping where I can't see it. Ouchies.)
ReplyDeleteA lot of cautionary holidays in Equestria, yup.
That was a very enjoyable episode.
ReplyDeleteI love this episode, it's definitely going to my top five list. The moral here (don't force people into relationships even if your heart is in the right place) is one I can really get behind, as someone who is single and a regular target of "we need to find you a girlfriend!" remarks.
ReplyDeleteAnd Doctor Whooves splashy? Well...okay, so he's a little showy at times, but give him credit: he was probably just racing off to save the universe at the moment!
Well, glad I didn't watch the leak. Was worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteI just ate a whole block of cheese during this episode...
ReplyDeleteTHE MORE YOU KNOW!
Random other stuff :
ReplyDelete-Glitters ! They make everything better... except Vampires, of course.
-Twist really was just being polite with ‘fat pony’, sadly not knowing of the other pony being her.
-Applebloom ‘’panicking’’ is quite entertaining and funy. ;)
-Apparently love give super strength, allowing ponies to destroy walls&doors and drag ENTIRE house.

"Dear Princess Celestia, today we learned how the road to hell is paved with good intentions." was how that whole thing sounded to me.
ReplyDeleteWell this episode wasn't the best, but it was funny.
ReplyDeleteThis episode was AWESOME!!! /)O_O(\
ReplyDeleteGreat episode. I love how they went the route of over the top public displays of affection.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eFn39r4iUs
ReplyDeleteLink to song if people are lazy/link isn't up yet on page.
That was a great episode! They jsut keep getting better and better.
ReplyDeletePretty good episode. Was one of my more favorite ones for the adorability factors.
ReplyDeleteAnd now that it's over, time to get some sleep! You guys have fun with your theorizing, and episode reviews and summaries and all that stuff you guys do afterwards. lol
Shinning armour and Cadance?
ReplyDelete@Yellow 13
ReplyDeleteGlad I didn't watch it early, also.
Also amused to see that all the Mane Six seemed to be out on dates. (And that possibly includes Twilight, because of course she'd bring books on a date. She's probably dating a bibliophile colt.)
That was a great episode. Good moral, funny, and an ok song.
ReplyDeleteI'm never going to watch it again.
Flawless episode. Definitely the best of the season and my new favorite of the entire series.
ReplyDeleteAwesome expressions, hilarious dialog. And Sweetie Belle is best pony.
@Javier
ReplyDeleteMOTHER FUCK WOW WHOA DAMN
This season is stretching the Schizo Tech farther and farther................
Jelly gourmand pony is probably destined for Pinkie Pie. Or hyper.
ReplyDeleteI loved this episode well worth the wait
ReplyDeleteI loved this episode!
ReplyDeleteLol how Twi was the only Mane 6 to show up. Which means now she ties with Applejack for most appreances.
And that snout nuzzling is so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute~ <3
Though its more like an eskimo kiss. Reminds me how we did things with my babybrother. Gosh we had such woozy-wootzy names for him just like those two did the whole episode through.
Also where was that Alicorn on what magazine?
So we're all in agreement: really mushy dialogue is gross.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is a lesson being enforced by...My Little Pony. I guess I should stop being surprised by things like this.
God do I love the "Oh, fuck off girls" eye-roll that Cherrilee gives when the CMC can't believe she's alone.
ReplyDelete@James Rye looked like Shinning armour and Cadance?
ReplyDeleteNot THE best episode, but still a great one anyway. Wonderful song (and one that the CMC didn't have to purposefully sing bad in, huzzah!), did I see Derpy standing next to Dr. Whooves during it? Big Mac got actual lines! I bucking love this show.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I was scared about this episode. Even had The Best Night Ever earlier this morning, showing how they like to troll when it comes to romance. Bravo, Studio B, bravo!
@Suburbanbanshee
ReplyDeleteOr she dated Rainbow Dash and brought her favorite books so that those two could have some book date. <3
STRANGELY OBSESSED WITH TUBS OF JELLY IS BEST PONY.
ReplyDeleteDug the Q-Bert with hay during the song.
ReplyDeleteFor once I didn't enjoy an episode all too much. But then again I think it has to do with my view of Valentines day.
ReplyDeleteOh well, this is bottom of my list of episodes for varying reasons.
ReplyDelete@Larknok1
ReplyDeletewell... your in luck
@Laurence Brown
ReplyDeleteDuring the first 'wide view' of Ponyville, we do see Derpy+Doctor Whoove :) ...also, we see Lyra+Bonbon ;).
Didn't look like adventure books in those saddlebags, and unless Twilight thinks "kingdom destroyed through love" is romantic reading....
ReplyDeleteWhen I heard that this episode had gotten leaked, I avoided it like the plague. It turned out to be worth the wait, as this has replaced Lesson Zero as the funniest episode so far this season!
ReplyDeleteTrollilee and Trollmac are best trolls.
ReplyDeleteA fun episode, well worth the early purchase from iTunes.

That was... different. Well, episode mostly focused on cmc rather than cherilee and big mac. So yeah, another cmc ep.
ReplyDeleteGags and antics make this episode worth watching, but did Cheerille or Big mac have any new traits or, heaven forbid, character development? Nope.avi
Big Mac talked. Oh, he did talk alright and now I wish he didn't. Fuck you Studio B, fuck you with an 8-foot tall candy cane.
So worth staying up after i got home from work and watched the whole mare a thon then the new ep now i got to try to sleep
ReplyDelete@GardBreaker
ReplyDeleteIt was really NOT of Big Mac fault, you know... it's the fault of the Love POISON.
Rarity wasn't at Carousel Botique.
ReplyDeleteSpike wasn't carrying Twilight's books.
HM....
Btw, nice reiteration of the classic "love takes your mind off business" trope. Very reminiscent of "Geraint and Enid", aka "Erec et Enide".
ReplyDeleteBig mac reminde me of Pepe le pew.
ReplyDeletejumping and that.

ReplyDeleteYeah... there's was a trace of Pew's style here. Maybe a reference ? (with the whole 'super-awkward' kind of love).
@EPHorizon
ReplyDeleteApplejack also called him "Big Mac" in the Cutie Pox.
@GardBreaker

ReplyDeleteI really hope to see a *.gif with Applebloom waving her arms in panic. ;)
And nothing sexual happened that night
ReplyDeleteI think that was really smart of them to (nearly) completely omit the Mane 6 from this episode. Leaves their relationship status nice and ambiguous, so none of the fans (shippers or non-shippers) will flip out.
ReplyDeleteI mean, yes, Cheerilee and Big Mac do have sizable followings, but it's not as big of a base-breaker than say, using Fluttershy in that formula. Plus, pretty much everypony in this episode was trolling at one point or another. Delicious.
@Nova25That looked so much like one that i find it hard to believe they weren't doing a reference

ReplyDeleteYou can't really judge the guy's voice by how he sounds when he's schmoopified.
The character's got a very nice voice, which is why it sounds funnier when they mess with him.
Funny episode all around! :)
ReplyDeleteLittle moments I noticed:
- BGM from the pilot prologue played during the beginning, for whatever reason.
- Cheerilee's face when the CMCs asked her, why she doesn't have a special somepony. That face said so much, without becoming an issue for the rest of the episode
- Scootaloo really can't fly yet. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom had to help her up to the cloud. But she can hover, as was also shown this episode.
- Was this the first episode without any Applejack?

ReplyDeleteWhat ya mean? Dragon, Chaos raining down, Kingdom falling; that´s all stuff for great adventure! Plus some hopeless romantic stuff about a knight and a princess. RD/Twi would have so enjoyed reading this together. Squee~ <3
@Draglord2505
I agree i liked that ending too. Given some spoilers i thought they´d stay friends for sure. But at the end they didn´t said that, they had said that at the beginning when the girls tried to get em together for the first time.^^
