ReplyDeleteIt starts to make sense when you keep in mind that this guy (with all my respect) is not a native speaker and his English is somewhat not perfect. As a non-native speaker myself I can tell you that construct "toys from evil characters" (you can rule out "more", as it doesn't fit) sounds perfectly legible to my ears. Of course I'm Polish and he's Italian, so this is just my theory.

On top of that it's in line with what we've heard a great while ago: they were searching for interesting and good original characters.
Still o(r)igin(a)l characters doesn't fit, as you can see, so that's not it even if the space was wrong.

This is a case where you can't be 100% certain of the answer until it's told, but maybe you find a different angle to look at things than i.
Most of them make sense, except shpping, grim and evil character songs.

People tend to mix languages all the time for example:

So an Italian phrase that makes grammatical sense when translated can actually do.
But the smoking gun would have to be that there's an italian word that fits the last word.

ReplyDeleteFirst, the four words are at the end of a sentence, starting "There will be". "More from evil characters" is not impossible, but it's not a natural sentence. Starting with "Song" won't work because it's singular.
More importantly, we're told this is something -really- exciting down in the comments.
My bet's on "More true main characters" Can't say I'm happy with the second word, but that's the only thing I can imagine being so exciting. It'd also be a pretty good finale for the season - introducing new characters in episode 26, and having them save the Mane 6 in the next two-parter.

About those wondering why it says episodes 26/27/28, you have to know that here in italy the episodes are splitted in two parts, so episode 1 is 1/2, episode 2 is 3/4, episode 3 it's 5/6, etc...I don't know if she meant that way, though.

So, for those ponies who are actually keeping up, here's what we know.
ReplyDeleteEverything that has been posted so far has been incorrect. More from main characters, love from main characters, song from evil characters, all of it is wrong. The only thing to do now is to find new combinations.
One way we could do this is take existing phrases and try to modify them ("More from main characters," try every combination for the third word - "More from fail characters," "More from epic characters," etc.).
I'm not sure that'll get us the answer, though. I think it's best to just run through the combinations.
Here's Stoopidgwunt's list again, with some of my ideas added for the first word:
1st word possibilities: BOLD BOTH BOYS CODE COLD COLT COOL DOGS DONE DOWN FOAL FOES FOOD FOUR GOLD GOOD HOLD HOME HOOF HOOT JOBS LOST LOTS LOVE MOON MORE NOTE PONY SOAR SOLO SONG SOON TONS WORD YOUR
2nd word possibilities: ARCH AREA DROP ERAS FREE FROM GRAY GREY TREE TROT TRUE URSA WRAP WREN
3rd word possibilities: AVID EPIC EVIL FAIL FAIR FLIP JOIN LAID MAIL MAIN PAIR SAID SNIP SPIN SUIT THIS TRIO WAIT
4th word possibilities: CHARACTERS
Here's one way we could run through the combinations. I don't know if there are enough ponies reading the thread instead of spamming "GUYS I FOUND IT IT'S MORE FROM MAIN CHARACTERS" to actually do this, but there you go.
1. Choose a first word possibility, for example "BOTH."
2. Look at reasonable follow-ups in the second word. "BOTH ARCH," "BOTH ERAS," "BOTH FREE," "BOTH FROM," "BOTH GRAY," "BOTH TREE," and "BOTH TRUE" seem like they could work.
3. For each of these follow-ups, see if there are any possible third words. "BOTH ARCH EVIL CHARACTERS," nothing for both eras or both free or both from, "BOTH GRAY MAIL CHARACTERS" would be incredible but also makes no sense, "BOTH TRUE EVIL CHARACTERS," "BOTH TRUE PAIR CHARACTERS" seems iffy but possible, and that's the list.
4. Post that you've checked a word (or multiple words), and post all of your ideas:
I've checked BOTH.
BOTH ARCH EVIL CHARACTERS
BOTH TRUE EVIL CHARACTERS
BOTH TRUE PAIR CHARACTERS
Once we've checked every word on the list, we'll have a list of ideas we can look at. If none of those seem right, we can check the list again to see if we missed any ideas. Or, we can go back to Viethra's wordlist and try to come up with new possible words. I know I've probably eliminated some that could be reasonable.

ReplyDeletea.- Considering all the possible words listed here, it's a no brainer to put "characters" as the last word.
b.- Since "characters" is a noun, the whole sentence "there will be **** **** **** characters" must be filled with nouns or adjetives that fit with "characters" (that means we rule out all countable singular adjectives and some prepositions).
c.- @SoSilver has clarified that not only no one has given the correct answer, but that we are clearly seeing this in the wrong direction. Furthermore, there's the fact that (s)he wrote "Try to think out of YOUR box". I'll take that as a clue and put "your" as the first word.
d.- That places us with the sentence "there will be your **** **** characters". That clearly leaves out verbs, adverbs and prepositions and narrows the amount of nouns and adjectives we can use to fill the sentence.
My guesses:
- It says "There will be your true epic characters" and it's refering to the fact the creators of the show will give more room to background characters. Maybe speaking roles.
- It says "There will be your true evil characters" and it's refering to a grand season finale with all the badies banding together á la "Legion of Gloom"... Then again, i think this was proposed before.
- It says "There will be your true ship characters"... Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon as canon? Highly unlikely.
- It says "There will be your grim noir characters" and it's refering to a special noir-style episode.
That's all i can think right now. I may be stretching things out given my knowledge of english as a second language, but the idea was to give another viewpoint and provide some alternatives. Maybe i'm missing some verbs that can fit in the sentence, but they need to be in present form in order to fit i guess.
Also i forgot to mention that i specifically said "given the words listed here" as to why "characters" is the last word. I'm saying this because we might be missing neologisms and many other constructs that are not listed in most of today's online dictionaries.

And one final thought. Have we considered all those other pony-pun words we tend to use? Since they are not "oficially listed" they won't be considered by most programs. I'm not good at those words so i'm at lose there.

Or it says "there will be your draw maid characters", but in this case the verb is not spelled right.
And what about there not be four words but just "ORICAR" as the riddle, meaning some of our ponysonas will appear in the background in one of those episodes?

We also can see he said to "think outside of YOUR box." but it depends on what that "box" is, and if "your" is the actual first clue.
And this secret is not just something "big", but "HUGE".
SoSilver could be telling us to look outside of Generation 4 for clues.
He's been very generous givin out as much information as he has. and I thank him greatly for it. Hopefully in the coming time he'll be able to reveal some more slight hints to it's actual meaning without giving it away.

ReplyDeleteOne problem: "This Characters" is grammatically incorrect. It needed to be "this character" or "these characters". Kinda makes it harder to get it right.
And if it had nothing to do with the show, WHY were we told to watch out for episodes 26/27/28?
