The creepy as hell Silent Ponyville game has hit a new goal, and released the first ever test demo, along with a short Christmas special teaser. It has a few bugs, but creating a full 3d pony game will inevitably run into some snags! Check the videos out after the break, and find the download on the development blog.

The framerate seems very low on the video. It looks nice so far, but it surely need some tweaking. I'll test it !
It looks pretty good. Didn't really like the fanfic so much, but then I haven't played Silent Hill either. Will test this game though. :)
@Klice Just Dl'd and the framerate is fine. Must be the camera. Also, do the zombie ponies actually hurt you? Because they seem to just hump me.

xtreme isn't new, this account used to be called TG&PT. I'm figuring there's a technical reason why he's posting using the other account. That's pretty boring, though, so let's see the funnier conspiracy theories the internet can come up with.

I managed to piece it together mostly without help. But only 1 combination seems to be effective right now.
The quiet video playthrough is helpful but not informative.
Looks pretty interesting, though I still think the best horror game to ponify would be Clocktower. Imagine Pinkie Pie taking up Scissor Man's roll and trying to hunt down the rest of the main six inside sugar cube corner, while wearing her cupcakes outfit. And for an alternate game mode make the mane six have to escape RD and get out of the Rainbow factory. Man, fans create some messed up stuff, you could probably make any of the mane six be the psychopaths you have to evade and hide from, there's so much potential for this idea! Get to it fan game makers.
Just played. I was freaked out by the radio (as I was in Silent Hill) but when one of the monsters (forgot their name, on the tip of my tongue) suddenly appeared out of the darkness to my side, I genuinely jumped.
Love it, can't wait to play more.

There are no screamers, as far as I know, unless you count a groaner appearing RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU a screamer

Well, I absolutely *LOVED* this fic when I read it. In fact, it was one of the first fanfictions I've read after being introduced to the show through Cupcakes. Long story short: I've been so excited for this to come up. And this game has pretty much lived up to my expectations!
I didn't expect this to be absolutely fantastic, but this game is actually executed quite well. The graphics and environment are very reminiscent of the original Silent Hill games while remaining true to the fic, the gameplay is- while choppy- quite fun once you get the hang of the run option, and the town is very immersive and genuinely enjoyable.
Overall rating? I'll give this a solid four out of five stars. It isn't fantastic, but it's executed quite well for a game about colorful talking ponies. I don't judge a game on its demo, though; I can't wait to see the main campaign. It's going to be so much fun based on the current level of gameplay.
Keep at it, development team! You're doing a really good job!

And one of the first things I read in this post was about getting humped by zombie ponies. lol
The controls are a bit off, but that kinda adds to it, the overall horror experience, it made me generally frightened by the enemy, as I knew if I didn't flee immediately I'd almost certainly be dead, didn't know what to do though.
Played pretty nicely! It needed some music to make it truly terrifying though...but, this is looking really promising so far! I'm excited now!

Yes. Just as in Silent Hill, you can't see your health on a HUD. You need to check your inventory and look at Pinkamena's status in her portrait on the top-left corner.

I'm re-texturing this (demo) game to make it look/feel a bit more like a real silent hill game as well as replacing the sounds, i'll post up a folder on mediafire if anybody is interested. I'll probably do the same with the full release since i haven't got much else to do recently.
Tried to click on the download link and the internet got confused and said the page didn't exist. Anypony have an explanation?
