Happy news deserves happy ponies. The Lyra/Bon Bon household is relaxed and trouble free after hearing definitive confirmation of the continuation of Season 2. Episode 3 is entitled 'Lesson Zero', and will air at 9 AM Eastern time on Saturday, October 15. Here's a screen cap of a Comcast preview, courtesy of one 'Awesome Turtwig'. Thanks!
According to another source who works at a tv listings company, the description for the episode is as follows:

I was fairly certain there was a two-week lull in pony episodes as well. While I had no idea what the episode would be about, I had often wondered if every episode would contain a lesson in friendship.
I bet this one will, too, though I look forward to what kinds of events Twilight will instigate in her unfounded panic to learn a lesson that doesn't actually exist.

I expected a gap of at least two weeks between Episode 2 and Episode 3, so seeing the air date of Episode 3 on the 15th of October was something I expected.
As for the plot, it sounds a lot like me in the morning XD So I can't wait to watch it. I hope Amy Keating Rogers writes that one.

With the sheer volume of fanfics, we will no doubt see very similar ideas in some episodes. It's been confirmed time and again that the writers do not read fanfics, so I would chalk it up to coincidence.

I don't know, it's not like fic writers have written stories about ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ALREADY...
I look forward to this and will count the days (hours, minutes, seconds, nanoseconds, picoseconds)! As for the story itself, there is so much fanfic out there (I mean really, it is churned out at a fantastic rate!) that there are bound to be similarities. Plus, "Twilight has a meltdown" isn't really an obscure idea. I LOVE her meltdowns, and this one should be epic. So sit back, and enjoy the show!

My guess is that we're in for a moral about Twilight's most crippling defect: her need to not disappoint someone whose love and tolerance knows no bounds. About the only thing I can think of that Twi does that might hurt Celestia is how little she seems to think of her mentor; it probably pains the princess to be reminded that the closest thing she has to a daughter thinks of her as almost a tyrant.

Looking at the pile of scrolls at 12:25 in Return of Harmony part 2, I can count right around 100 that are directly visible. Since they're all piled up, it's a reasonable assumption that there are quite a lot more that aren't in the viewer's line of sight. Assuming the equestrian year has 52 weeks just like ours, this would mean that Twilight has been in Ponyville for somewhere between 2 and 3 years already!

In that first batch of season 2 teases we had a shot of the mane 6 bowing to Celestia on the throne while Spike sits unfazed on Twilight's back. Didn't happen in the first two episodes.

I'm willing to bet two bits this an episode about Twilight learning the importance of relaxing and possessing a good mindset.
Two more bits says this is the episode with the famed "Twilight solo".

Actually, scratch 90-minute special. It would need to be at least a two-hour film.
