Ah, Newborn Cuties! You know, sometimes I watch older MLP stuff as a means for riffing. I mean, some of the G3.5 stuff is hilariously bad in it's own right (One episode involving a scavenger hunt had a pony looking in the oven for something COLD.) However, the two Newborn Cutie episodes are unriffable. I've tried to do it once with "Over the Rainbow." I quite literally cried in torment. I'm not even exaggerating, 7 minutes in I was bawling in pain from it. The episode in which the clip there is from is actually the tamer of the two episodes. "Funny" they make a big reveal out of what the baby ponies look like.
If somepony doesn't haxor a sega rom for Sonic or Sonic 2 to replace Sonic with Twilight (Horn to break things, can transform into Ponyta instead of Super Sonic, and a flightless pony makes more sense for a replacement of Sonic), and Tails with Fluttershy (I think Fluttershy would make an adorable side-kick) then I'll go insane
You are now imagining Pinkie Pie in the Mystic Cave Zone, with the background replaced by scary trees from Ep2, and an 8 bit version of Giggle At The Ghostly song playing in a loop as the pink pony bounces through the level.

Either way, we will all be jaws-open, unconscious on the floor from episode 23, but not for the same reason. 3.5g sucked Peter of his soul and his ability to ever have faith in anything ever again. It was so dumbed down and generally shit that he reverted mentally to its intended demographic: Incubating fetuses.
Episode 23, conversely, will make all bronies' bodies temporarily lose all testosterone and simultaneously make their hearts stop beating for the full 21-23 minutes of the episode. No brony will be able to accept it as their favourite episode because no brony will ever be able to get all the way through it due to the unfathomable cuteness.
Oh, and hey, there's a 16-bit theme song. That's cool, I guess.
Also I'm wondering how you'd change the spin jump coding to use the hitbox of Twilight's horn rather than a circle--mebbe just have Twilight do a spin jump for no rational reason.
Or... maybe starring in a Sonic ROM hack is how Derpy got her eyes like that!!!

I'm still waiting for somepony to do an extended remix of the opening/closing theme in varying genres.
I watched the latter first fully knowing what the content was, because the epicness of Genesis/Mega Drive counteracts the fail of pre-G4 MLP.
