Megan Williams is a young woman convinced that her memories of Ponyland are actually a delusion created to insulate her from remembering the truth: that she was snatched from her home as a child and held by an unknown kidnapper. So when a pegasus calling herself Rainbow Dash brings her back to Equestria, Megan has to confront the undeniable truth: all her memories are real. Not only that, centuries have passed here and all the ponies she once knew are long dead. Instead of her friends, there is a whole new group of ponies who need her help to defeat the smooze and the evil wizard who controls it: Grogar. Yet things have taken a dark turn while Megan comes to her senses. Princess Luna has suffered a psychological break and fled to the caves beneath Canterlot. Twilight is having a crisis of faith about being an alicorn when she could not even save her friends from the smooze. And Dash has spotted a pony who seems to know all too much about Grogar’s plans and is chasing down Lightning Dust to find out what she knows. Meanwhile, Grogar and the dragons under his control, are drawing closer.
