• Inside the Animator's Studio: An Evening With Lauren Faust

Lauren Faust, the creator of all our little ponies, is going to be back in LA for an evening spent answering questions her work, career, and more from students of her alma mater CalArts. Not only that but she will be joined by M.A. Larson and Amy Keating Rogers so expect one heck of an evening if you get the chance to attend!

    Check below for details:
Before Lauren Faust was the show-runner for MLP:FiM, before she was married to Craig McCracken, and even before she was story-boarding The Iron Giant, she was a student at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts.) Now, two decades later, she's coming back to her roots to help the next generation of animators get their start.

On Saturday, April 8th, 2017, Lauren will come to the Beat Box Studio LA for an in-depth interview covering her career from her early childhood influences through Wander over Yonder and beyond. She'll spend 90 minutes answering questions from James Turner, a correspondent of the Christian Science Monitor and member of the Society of Professional Journalists. Then we'll open up the floor to questions from the audience, which will include current students and faculty from the CalArts character animation program. After the interview, there will be time to mingle and meet Lauren, as well as other guests including M. A. Larson and Amy Keating Rogers.

Your $100 tax deductible donation will go to increase the Derpy Hooves Scholarship in Character Animation at CalArts. Only two hundred seats are going to be available to the general public, and we expect them to go quickly.
