• Artist Spotlight: Matrosha123 / SenxShine / Swampyfish / ArtFlicker / Vavacung

Welcome back to another Artist Spotlight folks! We've got a wide arrange of styles from several different artists today so make sure to check them out if you can.

As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-4 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.

What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:

    • No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
    • Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
    • Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
    Now on to the artists!

    Matrosha123

Our first artist caught my attention recently not just through the quality of their digital art, but the range of art they are able to pull off effectively! Utilizing a wide range of color and lighting, Matrosha brings not only ponies to life but griffons, bat ponies, and more! If you like some variety in your artwork, certainly check Matrosha out!

    SenxShine

Speaking of vibrant colors, our next artist brings vibrant, happy colors to the forefront in their work! Meet SenxShine, whose ponies are often humorous and happy which works very well with the vibrant colors they use along with the cartoony sort of style Sen draws in. Take a look at some of their artwork below!

    Swampyfish

Next up is an artist super new on the scene, but has a style unique and cute enough I believe deserves mention in the spotlight! Some of the most interesting art in the fandom is created when people take their own spin on the character designs and make them their own. Swampyfish does just this with a combination of soft colors and exaggerated features that end up making pieces that are both cute and relaxing. Take a look!

    ArtFlicker

While many pieces of art utilize clean lines there is a certain charm to rough, messy line work. ArtFlicker manages to take both styles of art and excel at them, whether it be in the numerous shippy pics she does or in the comics she creates. If you're looking for some silly, shippy, or cute artwork, I'd certainly give Art a look!

    Vavacung

Last, but not least, today is Vavacung! What makes Vavacung stick out is the wide variety of emotions and settings they put their ponies in. Not only that, this extends to both their comics and their singular pieces. So whether it's Twilight being a badass, a sad and dark piece of art, or just a cute Flutterbat, Vavacung has got you covered no matter what you are looking for!
