• Story: Snow Chords

    [Shipping] I haven't used this image for a story yet right? It's just so...fitting.
    Description: Applejack and Rainbow Dash get snowed in during a trip to their favourite sledding resort. They must both cope with fear, and they each discover that they cope in the very same way.

    1. Looks pretty short atm, but I guess it's going to have more than one part right?

      We could always do with more Applejack x Dash though. I look forward to it.

      Yeah I agree. But I am currently writing the second chapter right now so it might actually be up sooner than you think.

      I guess you'd be okay at getting stuck in the middle of nowhere inside a small cabin.

      With Dash?

      I think I'd be cool with that, lol. :P

      google docs is not my primary sharing service, Sethisto chose to use the gdocs links. ill fix the font in one of them when i get around to it

    14. also i hesitate to say this, but i do plan to write more in this vein. it would be a shame to leave it hanging like this. unfortunately i have class in a little under 5 hours so i need to get at least SOME sleep.

    15. Ah, there's more parts! I hit the end of the document and refreshed like eight times because I assumed it either stopped loading early or Sethisto completely bodged up the tagging.

    16. Good to see that you can write now. Keep calm and carry on. If everything else fails, it still got cool title.

    17. I did just notice that you typed Snow Chrods and not Chords for the second part, Sethisto.

    18. The point after the Dash opens the door gets confusing. I found it hard to follow what was going on and where the characters were in the space.

    19. That drawing is SO CUTE. And the reference to "Who's a silly pony" makes it at _least_ 20% cooler. <3

      Who is?
      You is!
      Applejack!

    20. Eh, this chapter was also pretty short. It seems you just decided to let the two be lesbians, as spurred on by a random romance, but it's your call.

      I like this idea having Applejack's hat be from her father, I've seen this a few times now (more predominantly in Swayback), and it's been good each time.

      So is it a fic about furries inserting themselves in MLP characters?

      no thanks

      I will go back to that part with Dash and the door and see what I can do. Incidentally, a friend also brought this up on Skype, so you're probably onto something.

      @9Nine9

      You might be right. I'll try and explain my motives more clearly in the next chapter, which will be the last one. It will also probably be the longest. I don't typically like to write a lot, because I'm sure people don't like to read a lot, and also because I just generally try to write without adding a ton of detail.

      @Anonymous

      No, it's not. Although I still think it's a cute picture.

      I think a lack of detail is the reason the dash and door part was unclear. If you can execute an effective balance of detail/content, then don't hesitate to add detail. Written detail plays a huge role in the mental imagery. Don't worry about the length, if we like what we're reading, we'll keep reading it.

    25. Good start, only part I had trouble with has already been pointed out. As for the rest of the tale, I'd wait until it's finished before I review the rest

    26. damn this is a big disappointment if its only to parts.like one more chapter

    27. I'd love to buy a print of this, or get it on a t-shirt, is that a possibility?
