• Discussion/Poll (Options below the break): You Have Been Sent to Equestria, And Have the Option to Pick a Non Pony Race...

The Greatest and Most Powerful Trixie in her infinite awesomeness has decided to bestow upon you the ultimate mandatory gift. You have no choice in leaving Earth, because who could ever refute her logic that all bronies want to go to ponyland?

And so, here you are between worlds at what is essentially a digital character selection screen, where the benevolent and giving Trixie has given you the option to pick a new race.  Due to the complexity of pony creation magic (and totally not because The Top Pony Trixie can't figure out how to do it),  all "pony" races are off limits.  Most others are available though!

    So, choose your race!

Head on down below the break for the list, and hit the poll up when you are done deciding!

    CHANGELING

The life of a changeling is a tough one.  The need to feed on love is something that will constantly be nagging at the back of your mind.  This does open up an unlimited amount of opportunities though.

    Positive:

While you yourself can't be a pony race, as a changeling you can shift into one.  You also have a pretty good grasp on offensive magic in your base form, along with flight.

    Negative:

The recent changeling invasion has everyone in Equestria on edge. A no tolerance policy is in place, and if anyone ever finds out what you are, the consequences will be dire.  Despite the danger, you still need to meld in to feed, especially if you hope to keep your pony transformation form going. Magic takes a lot of energy!  Hopefully your silver tongue and personality can handle this balance!

    GRIFFON

Griffons have been portrayed in multiple forms in the show, from sportsmen to chefs. An entire empire exists east of Equestria.

    Positive:

Claws for holding things, flight that can most likely beat a pegasus based on the wing size/aerodynamics, and a fierce presence make Griffons an interesting choice.

    Negative:

Ponyland may be a bit intimidated by you. Lions and Eagles are both predators, so getting that needed meat in a land filled with cartoon herbivores might be hard.  You do have the option to head to the griffon empire if things don't work out with the ponies though.

    DIAMOND DOG

Masters of the underground, and an extreme obsession with gems, Diamond Dogs probably won't be a popular choice, but it's there.

    Positives:

You keep your human shape, intellect,  and thumbs, with the added bonus of feral speed, increased smell, heightened hearing, and the plethora of other features that come with becoming half wolf.  For the sake of fun, lets toss some of that Dungeons and Dragons werewolf extreme regeneration on there too.

    Negatives:

While not completely barred from Equestrian society, it will be much harder to join it as a diamond dog.  Maybe that remaining human smarts will give you the leg up?

    ZEBRA

If you wanted to be a pony, this is the closest you can get.  You aren't going to have wild colors, wings, a horn, or earth pony strength, but you are still equine shaped!

    Positives:

Voodoo magic, which isn't really magic.  Slight of hoof and herb lore are key.  Zebras rock those illusions. You are the closest thing to an actual pony without the negatives of dealing with having to suck people's love out as a Changeling. You could totally find yourself a nice pony and pop out a few zebroids if you want.

    Negatives:

No wings, no horn, no earth pony strength.  Your power comes from... WITHIN.  Whatever that means.

    DRAGON

We have seen a plethora of different types of dragons in the show, from a "pretty much a pony" in Spike, to the giant anti-social beasty of Dragon Quest.

    Positives:

Your life span will surpass pretty much everypony outside of the alicorn princesses. You are at the top of the food chain, with fire breath and flight to go with it.  If you are into that whole exploration thing, a dragon would be a good choice.

    Negatives:

Eventually you will literally outgrow pony society. Sunday morning at the doughnut shop with the mane 6 isn't going to work when you are the size of the doughnut shop.  Dragon clans seem to roam around, though the map does point to the potential of a dragon city in the East.  You also need to keep that greed in check, or you might grow too quickly.

    MINOTAUR

We have only seen one minotaur, and so far he fits the description of most testosterone filled versions across mythology.  The comics note that Iron Will here has a wife back at a labyrinth as opposed to a city (or maybe labyrinth in this case is their city?). Either way, it's an option.

    Positives:

Strength that would make an earth pony jealous, and the muscles to back it up. You also get to keep your hands.  Maybe Lyra would appreciate that?

    Negatives:

The very nature of your race adds an almost warlike personality type to everyone. Minotaurs can meld into pony society, but your aggression and need for power may be a bit obnoxious if not used in a creative way.  Iron Will kinda nails that.

    Remain Human

Like the way you are now? Stay a human! It's going to be an interesting life though in ponyland.

    Positives:

Keep all of your current traits, and after the initial freakout, ponies tend to warm up to you as sort of an interesting enigma. Expect to be shuffled just about everywhere as everypony wants to see the weird hairless intelligent monkey from another world. Any other race and they would just think your tales of Earth and it's weirdo technology are the ravings of a madman.

    Negatives:

You are the only one. You will always be regarded as an oddity, and will never have actual biological offspring to continue the lineage of humanity in Equestria.  There is a chance that you may be able to hook up with another species if Spike's Rarity obsession is any indication on Equestria's take on cross-species relationships, but it will be a longshot.

    Donkey

Well uh, I guess you can if you want to...

    Positives:

    HARD MODE

    Negatives:

    HARD MODE
