When people see the amazing artwork, the beautiful songs, and the intricate animations spawned from it, they see that the fandom truly is productive and quality.
When they see things of this nature, they think the opposite. Their thoughts go back to "Wow, these guys are a bunch of weirdos who jerk it to ponies". That is harmful to the community as a whole. Sure, we mostly ignore it, but that's only because people don't want to face the truth: that its weird. Its really weird. The community would be far larger and thought of far better if stuff like that didn't exist.
Is it unique to the fandom? Hardly. I am not trying to destroy it entirely, as wonderful as that would be. That is wishing for the impossible. But to actually ENCOURAGE pony porn? Yes, I read your comment that follows the one I'm responding to, but there are plenty of scenes in the show where the characters make suggestive poses, whether they were purposefully made to look like that or not. A perfect example of this being Rarity. Nobody's forcing you to come here(EqD). In going to any site you accept the risks that you are taking, whether those risks are of seeing images that you don't want to see, or obtaining viruses. Let me just reiterate what I said before, you are only seeing an assortment of lights arranged to make an image, none of it is actually happening in real-life. Though I do not share your...odd @views, I respect your right to have them, but for ponies' sake, can we keep the clop comments off the recreational sites? Pretty please? Posting things like that on the "normal" websites gives haters reason to lump us all in with you and bash the community as a whole like crazy. Again, I don't have a problem with ya'll, just making a polite request.

The community has done amazing things, but that doesn't mean it isn't being held back. In the public eye, it is still seen as strange. When people see the amazing artwork, the beautiful songs, and the intricate animations spawned from it, they see that the fandom truly is productive and quality.
When they see things of this nature, they think the opposite. Their thoughts go back to "Wow, these guys are a bunch of weirdos who jerk it to ponies". That is harmful to the community as a whole. Sure, we mostly ignore it, but that's only because people don't want to face the truth: that its weird. Its really weird. The community would be far larger and thought of far better if stuff like that didn't exist.
Is it unique to the fandom? Hardly. I am not trying to destroy it entirely, as wonderful as that would be. That is wishing for the impossible. But to actually ENCOURAGE pony porn? I can't stand idly by and let such a thought go through. The less we see of it, the better. Lets keep it in the metaphorical closet with all the other skeletons.
@Al-Asad I don't see how this is R34...at all. Yes, I read your comment that follows the one I'm responding to, but there are plenty of scenes in the show where the characters make suggestive poses, whether they were purposefully made to look like that or not. A perfect example of this being Rarity. Nobody's forcing you to come here(EqD). In going to any site you accept the risks that you are taking, whether those risks are of seeing images that you don't want to see, or obtaining viruses. Let me just reiterate what I said before, you are only seeing an assortment of lights arranged to make an image, none of it is actually happening in real-life. I find the R34 group to be pretty damn hilarious because of how ridiculous it is for them to put the children's show ponies in situations that will never happen.
My rules to abide by for pretty much anything are: If the action doesn't directly or indirectly harm another, then it's fine by me. Of course, there are some exceptions which I'm sure someone will attempt to point out to me.

Most? I think you're overestimating a bit here. . .
A few pony's esoteric tastes are not holding the fandom back from being 'great.' Some of them even contribute in unrelated ways! Realistically, if the entire fandom behaved like canon saints, the world would give about the same many of bucks as they do now. When/if you grow up, you'll realize that this stuff isn't as big of a deal as you make it out to be, in most cases.
