Rarity is in time-out pending a review of her last two episodes, if we're honest. Her actions have been questionable lately! In her place is Twilight, of course. She still gets the top spot, though, because this wallpaper is awesome.

And Rarity hasn't even done anything bad! Sure she lied a lot in sweet and elite but she got over that. Secrets of my excess I found no ill-behavior from her (I refuse to believe she intentionally conned the gem from Spike).

I think there are quite a few people who like Rarity more due to the two excellent episodes she's had so far, myself included.
That said, the cover wallpaper is epic.
New wallpaper. If my hard drive was sentient, it would probably be telling me off for the sudden influx of pony material. Two weeks ago, hardly a download. Now it's pictures, fanfics, flash movies. I wouldn't hear the end of it. Now Rarity. For crying out loud, Rarity's actions as of late don't merit a time out. She's just being herself and nothing more. Do I agree with some of her actions? Perhaps not. But it's no reason to hate. Just my two cents.

Exactly. No need to pick on her by making assumptions about her motives. And besides, she did lie a lot in sweet and elite - but if we're holding grudges against ponies who lie, we'll have to head back to Season 1 and start a time-out list for a lot of the mane six.
Rarity is okay if she doesnt start to date Spike or something =P

That torn photo one is my new desktop. Awesome job on that one. Also, although I don't like rarity, that rarity element wallpaper is pretty awesome. The artist should do one for all the mane 6. Also making my list: that "hi..." one is adorable, if entirely out of character, grown up Scootaloo is always awesome, and the minimalistic batguard is pretty cool.

I'd use the Pony Scrolls one but as soon as I noticed the bad quality of the dragon, I couldn't unsee it and had to change. Think I'll use that French Rarity one, or the Octavia one... Or maybe the first Rainbow Dash one. I don't know! D:

Hate? Nobody is hating, they're just jealous because of the uneven distribution of awesome in her favor.
(And perhaps blowing her actions way out of proportion due to what they perceive her character to be)

I have been pondering the selfish/generous Rarity conundrum and I have concluded that Rarity does not only want to be generous to others but also generous to herself. She thinks everyone should have the most fabulous things, *including herself*

Yeah, Rarity deserves to be reviewed by the Ethics Board on her behavior. Let her have some screentime time-out as an appropriate punishment, that and don't let the episode spotlight touch her in quite a while.
