#2 This was just too adorable. Maybe Scoots is tougher in show, but that doesn't take away from how adorable this comic was.
i wonder if Celestia hadnt taken twilight in as a student if she would have become abusive with her magic and became a demanding brat knowing she was more powerful then her parents and all others around her :O (minus celestia of course)

I believe that's what those in the trade call a "homage." Anyway, I've seen Calvin & Hobbes referenced often enough, I reckon a not-insignificant amount of people had their sense of humour influenced by the strip.
Apparently I'm the only one who noticed the mistake in #1.
