That was my first thought too but Luna's recounts of her visits to Earth point to the contrary... unless the anomalies come and go. Since you make it clear the story is set before Discord, I am guessing you are keeping him for part three?

My other thoughts as I read the chapter, in chronological order:
      - next time I play D&D I should check if aluminium works on yugoloths.
      - two sentences in and Harry is being Harry again.
      - he considers that disturbing beyond belief? ... oh, of course. He doesn't have the Internet.
      - Bob is going too far.
      - What? Over already?

    2. Bob in Equestria? Oh my... This is going to be absolutely awesome! And by 'awesome' I mean 'insane'. Just imagine him meeting a certain princess.

    3. Hmm... I know that both the staff and the sword cane are weapons but he is going to look like a cripple moving with two walking sticks. Actually, with all the damage his body has accumulated, anothr dose of the elements might do him good...

I don't think he intends to use both at the same time... I assume he's just bringing Fidelacchius for security's sake rather than out of any intent to use it, anyway.

      P.S. ...did you just bring a Sword of the Cross into Equestria? O_O;

Wait a minute... Fidelacchius, the sword of Faith?
      i.e. Loyalty?
The Knights of the Cross are about to get 20% cooler. B)

No. That's Dresden's sword cane. The magnetic one he uses in Blood Rites.

    7. Heh, the meeting between Bob and Twilight was the best part about the most recent chapter. That is SO what I have been wanting to see with this story!

    8. Every line of every scene with Bob the Skull was pure gold! The idea of bringing him into this story was brilliant! Can't wait to see more...

    9. Dangit, this is making me laugh too much.
STOP MAKING ME SO DARN JOVIAL. I couldnt stop laughing at all the star wars references at the climax of the first story.
I wonder if Twilight would like Star Wars. Might be too much genocide.

I think the ponies would consider Star Wars the same way we think of a Tarantino flick.
"And the arm scene? Oh, Celestia -- I had to leave the theater."

And whenever someone uses the Force, Twilight can be heard grumbling, "Magic doesn't work like that!" from the back row.

      ...

Goddammit, now I want to write that fic.

    11. In False Masks ch3:
After Twi does her aliteration thing, Dresden is thinking he can't figure human women, so hasn't a chance against a girl from dimension populated by ponies.
Should have been: ...a girl from a parallel plain populated primarily by ponies. Crap, now I'm doing it!

    12. This is a great story and it actually introduced me into the dresden files and made me a fan. But now I want to know when you will finish this fic, it has so
Much potential for pure Dresden antics!

    13. Wow. People really don't comment much anymore on EqD story posts, do they?

      Whatever.

Keep up the fantastic work. Everyone who likes good action-adventiure fiction should read this story, period.

Well, the comment system at FimFiction is so much more robust, and the IntenseDebate engine is, ironically, awful for trying to hold an ongoing discussion since it wads up each conversation in its own little tree instead of displaying it at the end where you can pick up where you left off last time and see what new comments people have left. The Project Horizons group evacuated to a forum within days of ID going live for that reason.
