I dunno... in a fight between RD and Gilda, as much as I'm not a big fan of Gilda's... I'd have to place my bets on her. Griffons are supposed to be pretty strong and shes a bit bigger than Dash. So I think in a fair fight, Gilda would over-power poor Dashie.

Am I the only one here who find the idea of 'wingboners' (i.e., a pegasus's spread wings being equivalent to, well, a certain male reaction) to be completely preposterous? Aside from that, though, this comic series is off to a good start.

I was always wondering how strong Rainbow Dash is. Now we know: As a Filly, she could break Gilda's arm. Thats impressive. It might be the speed she goes at, but she must have a lot of strength to put behind it.
@bronydash Sometimes kids who are total jerks at 12 or 13 years old become adults who are really decent people. Ever since I saw 'Griffon the Brush-off', I had the impression that Rainbow Dash was near the end of that growth process, while Gilda was still stuck being a jerk. As such, I can totally see this fanfic actually happening in the context of the show.
tl;dr: Dashie may be a jerk in this comic, but she'll grow out of it.
They're going to make Fluttershy think she has a secret love, and then reveal it as a prank? I have a feeling that this is going to end in wounds that will become the scars she let slip at The Gala.

OT: Loving this comic. And whilst I myself am I staunch defender of Fluttershy, I'm not to worried about this upcoming prank. It just hit me but I wonder if that original prank note Gilda wrote really started out as a love note revealing her true feelings for Dash, but she chickened out and played it out as a prank to see how Dashie would react to those true feelings without having to deal with the rejection if those feeling weren't reciprocated?
That kind of makes Gilda look less like a jerk and more vulnerable and sad in a way.

As for the prank, I'm hoping the reaction is extreme (and funny), but it might help I can be kind of a dick too. But honestly a little shock to the system now and again is good for ya, keeps you on your toes and breeds some healthy skepticism.

I just finished watching Griffon the Brush Off, and now that it's refreshed in my mind I can safely say that Gilda really is a total jerk, in an irritating totally not cool sort of way and with zero redeeming qualities about her.

Wow...this has to be one of the most excellently drawn comic series I've seen here. It's well done and creative while staying very true to the look of the show - it takes the look of the show and EXPANDS on it, and that's a great thing.
My fellow Bronies as much I choose to love ant tolerate, anyone who harms my fluttershy will be dealt with. I've read all the pages so far and Rainbow You Are 20% LESS COOLER for what you did to Fluttershy -_- and Gilda and those 3 ponies who put down my loving waifu ohohoho I've got something special planned for all 4 of you. the 1st thing I'll start with will be your hooves below the ankles. Next your snouts and beak. The next thing you will lose will be your left eye followed by your right. Your ears you will keep Your ears you keep and I'll tell you why. So that every shriek of every filly at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every pony that weeps at your approach, every mare who cries out, "Dear God! What is that thing," will echo in your perfect ears. That is what to the pain means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever. So Apologize to dear Fluttershy okay ;D
Great job on this comic, whoever's writing it. The whole "wingboner" thing still bugs me, but this is really well done. I was cheering inside when Dash cut in, even when those guys were being total dicks. It bugged me when she just left Fluttershy like that, but I don't think she could've done anything else. I really wanna see how this turns out. Teenage Dash is awesome.
Congrats on having a really well thought out comic and story plot. I feel bad for Fluttershy as she was just a pawn in a bad joke (i know that road to well) but i thought of myself as Dash when she went to defend her. I just hope this doesn't become a ship comic with Dash tho.
Great comic so far. :) Has a nice mix of drama, teen-angst, (without being downright "emo") and comedy, making it unique for a FiM fan-comic. Read all 10 pages, and became hooked instantly. Aside from a few brief moments, the gang seemed pretty in-character for the most part. I like while R.D. & Gilda are friends they don't always see eye-to-eye or always get along. Wich is pretty true to the show. R.D. snapping at Fluttershy (and then feeling bad afterwords) did seem pretty in-character after getting teased, and embarressed by those guys.
Though, I also agree with Travis Smith, I hope this doesn't become some big "romantic 'ship comic" either. No offense to those into that kinda thing, but I'm not really into 'shipping personally, (regardless of the orientation) and I'd rather have the mane 6 all be "just friends." Plus it seems kinda unfair & stereotypical of almost every fan to assume Rainbow Dash is a "filly-fooler" just because she's a tomboy. (It's not fair to both hetrosexual & homosexual tomboys to make that snappy a judgement.) Though, I did like how you kinda did a subtle reference/parody to that with the teasing Dashie received, and how she reacted angerly afterwords. (Wich I can relate to, I've been called stuff before to when I was a teen.)
I also like how detailed the backgrounds are with posters, and subtle references. (Including a Derpy cameo.) Very nice work.
Also Fluttershy with braces is just adorable for some reason. Or perhaps "adorkable."
I'm enjoying this comic, but one thing I don't understand is why the ponies all have their cutie marks. I could believe that Dash might go back to flight school for a bit after the whole sonic rainbooom thing, but not Fluttershy. It would make more sense if they didn't have cutie marks.
