• International Friendship Day!

For those of you following the nightly updates, you probably know that today was International Friendship day. What did you guys do to celebrate? Did your take part in the synchtube marathon? (That is still going I think). Did you hang with non brony friends?

I just got back from the Arizona Meetup. It was packed! It's pretty amazing to see 50 other pony obsessed people all talking about the show and stealing pizza the second it hits the tables.

I'll do a writeup about that tomorrow when I get some more pictures! (My phone was pretty much dead, and I am lost without GPS so I could only snag a few.)

Also my Super Smash Brothers Brawl group after the break! (Which I apparently suck at now.)

Seth, why are you roleplaying on your own blog?

      ReplyDelete
    3. What part of Arizona?

      ReplyDelete
    4. Yeah, it was pretty crowded there. It was my first meet-up, though, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Looking forward to more of these events, though!

The Great and Powerful Trixie is not Seth! How many times must Trixie say that? Go check the first five posts in the Luna case files, THAT Trixie is Seth!

    6. IM SO PISSED. I LIVE IN ARIZONA AND WANTED TO GO BUT I AM IN FLORIDA, BUT IT GETS WORSE, I GO HOME TOMARROW, RIGHT AFTER THE MEETUP, ARRRRG IM STILL REALLY PISSED

    7. @Anonymous You should have seen the ????? post. There were at least three Trixies in there.

    8. Sounds like it was fun. And 50? Damn, sounds like it about rivals our Dallas meet. We must procure more Broniesin Texas to win! lol

Unfortunately, nothing really here my part of Texas to do today. So it was just another day here for me. That makes Octavia sad.

    9. I was super excited when I heard there was a meetup in Arizona... then I realized it was in *Mesa*. I live in Flagstaff.

    10. I downloaded the MLP:FiM soundboard to my brand new phone, and my new ponies shirt came in, so I wore that. Huzzah!

Trixie... Everypony knows you are not better then twilight! I challenge you to prove to me and the rest of the pony world that you are infact as great and powerful as you are! Twilight is and always will be number one pony and i will prove it to you. Respond if you have the guts you silly, misguided foal!

I seriously doubt that either are more powerful than a time lord.

We had someone drive in from New Mexico. No excuses!

Yeah, it was pretty awesome. We sang along to Winter Wrap-up toward the end.

    15. I was involved in the elfster gift exchange. by sheer luck my recipient lived withing driving distance, so I made him cupcakes and delivered them in person.

    16. So were people all like, "OMG It's Sethisto!!!"?

      ReplyDelete
    17. Which one of those guys is Seth? Is he the hot nerdy one?

      ReplyDelete
    18. @eaglehooves

Hey be he's the one registered as "The great and Powerful Trixie" And there have been blog posts made by "The great and Powerful Trixie". So who could this possibly be other then Sethisto?

      ReplyDelete
    19. I can't believe I forgot about the AZ Brony Meetup! And it was only a few blocks away! I even had it on my calendar!

      STUPID FABRIC -:(

      ReplyDelete
    20. @Dashalicious

I'm not in that picture, I'm taking it.

      ReplyDelete
    21. Seth... I am disappointed. That is clearly a N64 controller in the one picture. And those are clearly signs that say "Art goes here" in the first picture of Trixie. I want closeups! Why did you have to go with an almost dead phone?

@Anonymous As she already said, THAT particular Trixie isn't Seth. Trust me (and the EqD Roleplay Club, find us in the Mars blog page! We've only made 4000+ comments to browse through!) on this. Phoe is the Roleplayer of the admin group, and Cereal is the second most likely to actually roleplay. Seth... doesn't. And trust me, I've tried asking him!

@twilightlover21 Twilight and Trixie have a truce going on, at least the RP Trixie and RP Twilight do, so uh... yeah. Also, they've become decent friends. Decent insofar as they aren't actively trying to outdo the other and leave that to their friends. Although Trixie is still a bit braggy.

    22. @The Great and Powerful Trixie

Ok WTF. how the hell is this possible? there are two registered Trixies? what is this bullshit:

As a point of reference, the Great and Powerful Trixie has only been on Blogger since July 2011, where as Sethisto has been on blogger since last year. Obviously he could have made the account recently, but he's been running the site how long? (I actually don't know). I personally would have expected him to make the account sooner if it was actually him. Though I of course could be wrong, considering my evidence is weak at best.

    25. @Monix

Seth was trying to be sneaky. I think he was annoyed when I said hi. :P The Wired article gave you away, dude.

      ReplyDelete
    26. @S.Aura Knight

Actually its a well known fact that Sethisto's roleplaying as Trixie back on 4chan pissed people off. I also heard that he roleplayed as a female dragon from spyro. but I can't confirm that

    27. I played garry's mod today with a good friend of mine and we beat sb_omen_v2 =D

      ReplyDelete
    28. Brawl... It was fun, but it was a bit *floaty*

I think Melee was better :/

      Anyways...

Somepony REALLY needs to start a pony Uncharted 2 Clan.

      ReplyDelete
    29. @Monix

Speaking for myself only, but I didn't see anyone make a big deal about it. But then, I don't actually know what he looks like, so if I saw him, I didn't realize it. (and at one point, someone told me he'd actually passed right by me)

      ReplyDelete
    30. No Synctube, I was at Megaplex

While there, I saw Mathew Ebel in concert and he play a new song that's going to be in his next album, and he mentions Pinkie Pie in it by name.

He also asked everyone to twitter that they were at the concert, watching him play in a Pinkie Pie costume (As cool as that would have been, he wasn't)

      ReplyDelete
    31. @Anonymous Sethisto refereed to the blog time as "Equestria time" once, and in chatting with the G&P Trixie, I mentioned being three hours ahead, and she mentioned not being on Equestria time either.

      ReplyDelete
    32. Anypony from South Dakota? I'd like to have a Sioux Falls meetup

      ReplyDelete
    33. >For those of you following the nightly updates, you probably know that today was International Friendship day.

I should probably be paying attention to those then... Didn't know this until now.

      >What did you guys do to celebrate?
Can I retroactively claim reading all the way through Fallout: Equestria as celebrating?

      ReplyDelete
    34. Yeah. I drove 6 hours from New Mexico to see everyone and promptly forgot the pink bag f stickers I got for it. :( Silly tiredness.

      ReplyDelete
    35. As Organizer of the Arizona meet i would like to thank seth and everone who attended the event today. I would also like to thank Purple Tinker for without her i wounld even have been able to make this group.

      ReplyDelete
    36. Derp, It was my birthday, so uh, yeah.

BUT I got my Pony poster yesterday, and that was awesome XD

      ReplyDelete
    37. @eaglehooves I tend to say Equestria time myself, you know. Seth has influenced my dictionary. So has Phoe. Who knew there were so many usages for "Pony bondage"?

But still, 'tis not Seth as the RP Trixie (I hate to say it, but I don't think between updating the blog most of the time a million times a day and making comments on an unrelated account for over a week, most of the time even posting 50 times in an hour, is even possible). We of the Roleplay Group know a lot more about each other than your average group of internet strangers.

Of course, then claims that I'm an elaborate ruse set up by Seth comes into play, but by then you're grasping at straws. Straws that would be awesome, but straws all the same.

As for what I did, since I never answered the question: I slept. I chatted with the group after waking up. I went out and saw fireworks. Then I came home and chatted with the group. Now I'm just sitting here, arguing basic common sense, since I stay up unnaturally late.

    38. I spent the day with my girlfriend, it was our 8 year anniversary.

      ReplyDelete
    39. My wife and I met up with fellow Bronies at AnimeIowa. It was fun.

      ReplyDelete
    40. I've been on and still am on the synchtube since it started.

      ReplyDelete
    41. @S.Aura Knight After the ????? post I think I know Trixie well enough to say it's not Seth. We had a nice conversation after most of the hype faded. Brohoof to the RP group, you guys can hold character through anything. Trixie has me convinced that the fourth wall actually has been broken. I've never been good at RP myself, I have a hard time referring to myself as a pony sometimes.

    42. Man I only heard about this thing the day it was happening. Mesa is a place I end up in often but I can't drive and asking my parents to take me seems like not an option as it is about an hour drive from where I live. Hope you all had fun and I wonder if any Casa Grande or Coolidge people went.

      ReplyDelete
    43. Haha...I was there...I spotted Seth but didn't want you to think I'm weird...

      ReplyDelete
    44. I found out that one of my friends is a brony today, that made it about 20% cooler.

After we talked aboutg it we just pulled an 8 and a half hour episode watching marathon. :-D

      ReplyDelete
    45. Well, other than working, I finally converted my friend into a brony. It took weeks to do that. He's more stubborn than applejack...

      ReplyDelete
    46. Wish I coulda been there. I'm in the Williams area (Small town near Flagstaff). Pretty lonely for a brony out here.

      ReplyDelete
    47. It was less than a mile from my house -_- Regretting not going now, but I was asleep when it started, plus I didn't have a Meetup account to RSVP

      ReplyDelete
    48. It was a pleasure sucking hard at Super Smash Brothers with you Seth! I swear I used to be good at that game...

      ReplyDelete
    49. >guy fawkes mask
Not jelly, not jelly, not jelly...

      ReplyDelete
    50. Ironically I forgot that it was friendship day because I was hanging out with friends. ]:

      ReplyDelete
    51. It was my birthday, so I attended the above mentioned Brony meetup as the ultimate party! I was doing a lot of running back and forth getting pizza and supplies so I was mostly in the background, it was still the best night ever!

      ReplyDelete
    52. I went to the Escher Exposition here in Granada.

I was too tired to watch the episodes when I returned home ;_; I'll try to make up for it tonight.

      ReplyDelete
    53. I'm still enjoying Otakon and the very large brony meet ups over here. ( around 100-150 attendees yesterday for the Saturday meet up )

But man was it a blast! Meet the owners of www.equestriagaming.com, derpyhooves.com and brony.com as well as many others. Had a lot of cosplayers including nightmare moon ( who I sadly missed because they came and left the event before I could bow and worship, as well as take pictures ), a few derpies, big macs, cmc ( except sweetie, also got many scootabuse pictures with various rainbow dashes and our scoot ), every mane pony as well as spikes ( including a cute one who latched on to a rarities leg lol ). Sadly no trixies though for you Seth.

Overall though it was a BLAST. Kind of funny to say you favorite bits at an anime con have nothing related to anime ( second was the break dancing people did last night heh ).

The owner of equestriagaming is trying to accumulate pictures of the event from any pony over at ponychan btw if any attendee's post here with pictures so be sure to post them!

      http://www.ponychan.net/chan/collab/res/12936.html

      ReplyDelete
    54. Oh and for trixie...
You keep on going girl! I want to see you become luna's student and the. Twilight's rival for season 2! WOO!

I also forgot to mention there were a few DJ Pon3 cosplayers too, including 1 in a huge outfit ( which was one of my personal favorites, exp sincethe place was rather hot like always, and outside was MUCH worse )

      ReplyDelete
    55. hey Seth, have you checked the comment counter on the Mars RP latley? cuz we all think we deserve a picture by Madmax because we are crazily awesome! we got 1000 more comicss IN ONE DAY

      @The Great and Powerful Trixie

Trixie, we all know that you stand no chance against the one with so much knowledge and power, you dare not face off against her! That's right, I'm talking about Pinke Pie!

      ReplyDelete
    57. Ha, you foals! The Great and Powerful Trixie merely comments twice and everyone goes crazy and gives Trixie more Blogger page views! Sometimes it's just too easy

      ReplyDelete
    58. I enjoyed the marathon... Who am i kidding,i got banned twice

      ReplyDelete
    59. Congratz on getting 50 people at your first meetup :D at our first meetup in new york we only had like 38!!

      ReplyDelete
    60. I was there from about 5:40-just before 10... and it was awesome! =D

So many Bronys... wish I was a little more active, but had alot of fun. Got to play some MTG, a interesting game called... Yumi or something... watch some ponys, get some pizza... oh, and played the craziest card game I have ever experianced called "We did not Playtest this at All", I freaking LOVED that game =D

      ReplyDelete
    61. @Arcelwow i kinda wanna go to an out of town meetup...but then i remember NYC has the biggest meetups (no offense)

      ReplyDelete
    62. Wow, how'd I miss that it was International Friendship Day yesterday. I didn't plan anything for it, but I did help two friends move things to their respective homes. What better way to celebrate friendship then clearing sofas and TVs out of two different houses and eating lots of pizza afterward?

      ReplyDelete
    63. @The Great and Powerful Trixie Hey, I noticed my pageviews spike as well. It's not even noon and I've got as many as the day I made it into a random stuff compilation. Either the guys on RDN love my stuff, or I'm now involved in this whole suspicion thing.

-- I posted question 81 on Equestriamlp with the Sporcle Comic Con Poster quiz
-- I posted question 6 on my new Ponyville_trot community as well as both Sporcle quizzes and awesome fanvid of the destruction and rebooting of planet Equestria after Luna bombs Ponyville.

    65. I spent the day a work raging with HATE. :( My body ached. The customers were frustrating and demanding. And I barely made any progress on the side project I had to work on.

BUT. I kept my chin up and got to close the night talking to some local law enforcement about a 3.5 foot replica of a Gears of War chainsaw lancer. Followed by a late night of EDF with family.

There's practically a pony episode right there if I ever did live one. The simple small things and the people you love make it easy to forget a bad day.

And thanks to everyone here. This was suppose to be a rage post, and it actually made me feel better.

      P.S.
Play with the fan created SSBB mods Balanced Brawl (minor tweaks) or Brawl+ for a faster melee feel. Both are much better than the basic game. Wonderbolt costume Pika is 20% cooler.

      ReplyDelete
    66. Spent all day drawning ponies, wasn't even aware of it!

      ReplyDelete
    67. The entire meetup was basically awesome. MTG, Video games, Rainbow Dash themed Cupcakes made by myself and a friend. Anyways, the entire place was packed, and overall, it was wonderful to get to meet everyone.

      ReplyDelete
    68. I enjoyed the night and it lead to me possibly converting yet another person to the pony party. I was at the meetup and was hoping to talk to Sethisto, hand him a moon pie, shakes hooves and thank him. But I guess he was too busy hiding. I had even made myself a nice button to wear so people could find me. Oh well, maybe next time he will not be so afraid of being himself. I did manage to hand out about three boxes of moon pies.

      ReplyDelete
    69. I had a blast at the Phoenix Brony meet up and hope there is another soon. I discovered Seth's identity just as I was leaving and didn't have the opportunity to speak to him. Maybe I'll get the chance next time.

      ReplyDelete
    70. Sounds like the meet was a blast. I'd have liked to have been there, but living in the midwest means it wasn't really an option.

I realized that I never said what I did on International Friendship Day, I had a welcome home for my sister. She had been off for two weeks at summer camp, and while it was nice at first to be able to hear my own thoughts (and realize how much they've been ponified), I'd started to miss her. While we don't get along at times, and she definitely doesn't get ponies, being away for a while made me see the important stuff, and not just the day to day issues.

      ReplyDelete
    71. I hade fun at the meetup. Probably the best part, was when about 30 of us broke out into song singing Winter Wrap Up.. and then laughing as the other non-bronies stared as us like we was crazy. :P

      ReplyDelete
    72. AW damn... I was at Rage Against The Machine concert last night so I forgot to celebrate... D: unless one of the artists or one of the thousands of fans were also bronies there. then maybe I did...?

      ReplyDelete
    73. I spent all day feeling ill, being unable to go outside or comunicate with others and feeling pretty lonely and sad all day. :'(
      Hugs?

      ReplyDelete
    74. I had pony snuggles with my girl.

      VERY FRIENDLY.

      ReplyDelete
    75. I spent the whole day on a plane. Fun fun fun fun.

      ReplyDelete
    76. I was about to spend the day at a meetup as well, but it got cancelled last minute. Ended up getting drunk with some non-brony friends (who did ask me about my Derpy shirt, though)

50 bronies!? Wow! that's even bigger than the NY meetups!
