• Twilight Sparkle is Now Harley Quinn

If this news is obnoxious and completely unrelated to ponies, feel free to stab me.

But I like the vidya, and I especially like the fact that the next Batman: Arkham Asylum game will have Tara Strong voicing Harley Quinn this time around.

Poor Twilight Sparkle is going to be remixed so much with that voice.. I can already see it.

Anyway you can find more information on it in the article below!

Arkham City's Harley Quinn Might Sound Like My Little Pony

    1. I'm a little disappointed but good for Tara Strong

    2. Tara Strong sounds, to my ears, like she's phoning it in half time with Twilight. That is the reason why she's my least favorite of the mane cast. Tara has done other roles better so, I'm hoping she'll do well as Harley but, yeah...

This is unhappy news to me.

    3. Tara also does the voice of Princess Clara in Drawn Together.

I will miss Sorkin as Harley. The role was literally made for her after all. Still, I am sure Tara Strong will do a great job, but when it comes to Harley Quinn, she ain't got nothing on Arleen Sorkin.

    5. I hope they realise, now Batman has to be voiced by Pinkie Pie.

What would become of Hoofam City without The Vengeance, The Night, The BATPINK?!

    6. I'm going to wait and see until I form an opinion. Tara has copious amounts of experience, so I do have hope. But I will miss Arleen, so there's that.

    7. Wow, didn't think this would get on here, I just thought Seth would like it cos it's kind of related to Twilight.

Either way, at least they chose a strong VA with a known background of different characters and voice types for this rather than an unknown, they'll need it to keep fans on side till they can judge the results when the game comes out in October.

    8. Meh, she is a voice actor, she get paid for that

    9. Not surprising since Tara Strong has done hundreds of voice roles over the years.

    10. While I am disappointed that Sorkin will no longer be playing Harley Quinn, I think Tara Strong will do wonderfully. Almost all of my favorite shows and games feature Strong as a character or two.

    11. Wait this is the last time Mark will be the Joker now I'm sad ;_;

      ReplyDelete
    12. Perhaps now they'll get Pinkie Pie to voice Joker, then.

    13. Waiting for the inevitable Batman Pony City videos.

    14. As much as I love Tara Strong, I'm disappointed.

I really liked the old voice actress. She was -the- Harley Quinn.

    15. I saw this, albeit rumored, a month or so ago! Time to rub it in the face of the NEIGHSAYERS.

    16. This post lead me to learn that she voiced Terrence in Foster's as well.

    18. I still believe the new Batman game will be just as awesome as the first.

It's a shame this is the last time Mark voices Joker. He made me laugh so many times in Arkham Asylum.

    19. Wait WHAT?! But.. WHAT?!
But Arleen Sorkin is the one true Harley! Don't get me wrong, I love Ms. Strong, and I'm sure she'll make a better Harley than others I've seen but... It's just not the same without Arleen!

This makes me a sad Comic nerd...

    20. I was watching Xiaolin Showdown and this post led me to discover that Tara Strong voices Omi. My mind=blown.

    21. I was really hoping for Arleen Sorkin to reprise her signature Harley Quinn voice again. She really made Harl who she is. After all the role was written with her in mind from the very start. My second choice was actually Hynden Walch since she did a great job voicing her on The Batman.

But Tara Strong will definitely do a great job doing the voice since she's got one of the most extensive acting credits on her resume (she's in so many shows I wonder how her vocal chords aren't stressed out by it. lol)

But to be honest, it's going to seem like a different Harley Quinn all together with Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 seeing as she's getting a new voice and is dressed like a biker chick rather than a silly, bubbly clown-girl.

    22. Tara Strong does so many vocies all across the spectrum of characters and target audiences, so do Ashleigh Ball,Andrea Libman and Tabitha St. Germain. it's kinda sad seeing all those remixes and youtube poops NOT using accurate voice clips when you've got so much to chose from.

except "Friendship is not available in your country ",the reuse of princess Clara's clips was GLORIOUS.

    23. The funny thing is Harley Quinn before she joined the joker and Twilight Sparkle have the same personalities... scientifically curios, completely fascinated with what they can't understand(Twilight looked pretty obsessed in 'feeling pinky keen'.....

Its a good thing nightmare moon was defeated in the first few episodes or twilight would have surely become her apprentice and single-hoofedly have conquered all of equestria.

    24. I... Have no feelings for it. Though I gave cupcake credits to Annon 3 for pulling that link and I remembered stuff about Drawn Together and jaw-dropped at the similar Tara sound clips.. (AKA making Twilight sounded soo wrong...)

I like harley Quinn back in the 90s Batman cartoons. (I find her very adorable too for Joker's sidekick.) But... Yea. But I will give promise to Tara for taking that roll.. Only tmie will tell... And more pony parodies.

    25. CHANGE IS SCARY

      ReplyDelete
    26. I'm not going to begrudge Tara Strong for this, I think she'll do a good job, like always. But man, Arleen Sorkin is, was, and will always be Harley Quinn. End of an era, man.

Ah, well. It'll be interesting to see what Tara bring's to the role.

    27. The voice Actors for MLP as soo known WHY DOESN'T ANYONE USE THE ACTUAL VOICE CLIPS? >:S Quit cutting and pasting, it sounds like shit

And now I have to go watch drawn together for the rest of the night.

In other, somewhat related news, Jake the Dog from adventure time is also Marcus Phoenix, the blood loving Gears of War veteran. Also Bender.

    29. The voice actor of Pinkie Pie would have been more fitting.

      ReplyDelete
    30. She also voiced Toot in Drawn Together, I read somewhere it was her favourite role, because she got to say the most vulger things she'd never said before.

      ReplyDelete
    31. I'm kinda of two minds about this, as much as it's sad to see Sorkin go, it's also cool to see Strong fill the roll. As far as a replacement goes, she's pretty high on my list for Harley.

Although it will be sad to not hear the original Harley :(

      ReplyDelete
    32. I wonder why they made the change, cause Sorkin already has done some voice work for the game as shown in this trailer...

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmJvHILyeOo

Schedule conflict? Tara's recent internet popularity via ponies?

Oh well, least its another Batman TAS vet (Tara was Batgirl) filling the void.

      ReplyDelete
    33. I'm a bit disappointed to hear that Arleen Sorkin has left. I was hoping to hear her and Mark Hamill together one last time since this is supposed to be the last time he is doing the Joker(though he said that about Arkham Asylum as well).

Anyway, I'll have to hear Tara Strong try the Harley Quinn accent before I judge. Its a hard one to pull off.

    34. Sadface. Also there's apparently an artist with pseudo-psychic powers over on DA who beat us to this long ago.

    35. Speaking of other people that Tara has voiced...

Did you know that she also voiced Seem from Jak 3?

      No Foolin'

      ReplyDelete
    36. Man, Tara Strong is like the Nolan North of voice-acting. Wait...

      ReplyDelete
    37. Bummer about Sorkin, but seriously, Tara Strong has done voice work for EVERYTHING. It was the weirdest moment when I suddenly realized that X-23 sounded like a very angry Twilight Sparkle in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Naturally, I IMDb'd it, and guess who provided the voice? Then I checked the rest of her work... Mind=blown.

      ReplyDelete
    38. @Anonymous

Actually, you're right. I think Andrea Libman would be a more fitting choice to play Harley.

      ReplyDelete
    39. Most importantly, Tara Strong did the voice of Batgirl in the Batman: Animated Series and it's spinoffs, including the games which used the BTAS actors (like Batman: Vengeance). So she's familiar with Kevin Conroy / Mark Hamill and the other alumni.

Hopefully she won't sound too different, but yeah, tis a shame Arleen can't do the final hurrah with Mistah J.

    40. Tara Strong is quickly and steadily reaching the top of my favorite voice actressess. This merely gives her (legal) steroids in the race to be my one and only favorite.

      ReplyDelete
    41. @Delta Pangaea
Cool! She's also Talwyn from Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. Those would be some fun lines to lip sync.

    42. Twilight is Harely Quinn...I can see it now.
C'mon Missus Pinkie, we gotta give the batmare her suprise now.
