Wow. I was hoping it would end with a wake up or 'it was all a dream', but not that! I feel this deserves a grimdark tag, blog brony.
Its like someone took the characters from Twilight and the ending from shutter island and replaced everything with ponies. Great read though. Seconding Grimdark tag.

Actually when I was writing this I was sorta' inspired by the movie "The Cabaret of Dr Caligari". It's an old black and white flick worth anyone's time who wishes to see it. Have not seen or read Twilight though, so I'm not too sure what you mean there. Glad you enjoy it. :)
I had a feeling there was going to be a twist ending... but that was just too... sad...

That's some good story. Nicely sad, with just a touch of totally hopeless. Some people say the end is telegraphed too much, but I thought it worked out pretty well.
That was excellently written! I don't usually read stories about anyone but actual characters, but this was definitely worth the read
