The Simpsons has been around forever. Their references are usually incredibly subtle, but they do have them pretty often. As part of the Treehouse of Horror XXIV episode, a very short clip has Lisa mumbling about "rainbow" and Bart responding with "Oh… Not the pony dream again." It could be unrelated, though it's fun to assume it's a real thing. The only way we will ever know is if someone asks them!
