Doo doo doo! Doo doo doo! Doooo danana na na... aaaaand now I'm wet. Thanks so much, Octavia. You and your non-standard instruments. Trying to put together a one pony orchestra of non-standard instruments? What do you think this is, Marejora's Mask? Well you will require more masks for that.
And while she's off collecting those, how about we enjoy ourselves an assortment of fine pony musics? Or... how about you do that while I towel off? Stupid song of Storms. Stupid sorrowful composing ghosts. Stupid indoor rain...
When you can't have puns, have overblown references instead. Music of the Day! It's scientifically proven to be better than a brick to the face!
You know, basements aren't really all that bad. They're actually rather cozy. The pleasant darkness, the abundance of canned foods, and a glowing, flickering warmth of roaring hellfire. A real Nightmare Night experience! And there's so much to do down here! You won't believe the number of secret documents and blackmail that Equestria Daily has down in their storage cabinets. And Seth left so many valuables down here in his Trixie shrine. I'm gonna be loaded once this portal is done opening. Speaking of strange things in basements, Alex and Daffodil should feel very, very ashamed. I can't believe you didn't even have the decency of hiding this cardboard box.
But thankfully, once all that started to get boring, I had something to look forwards to: reading the 100+ horror stories the lot of you sent in. That's impressive, especially considering I gave you guys only a week to get them all in! And the spine-chilling horror of your tales were just enough to distract me from the sound of Cereal's Science Cannon™ which he's been firing at the basement door pretty much non-stop. That portal better hurry up.
Click after the break, and we'll take a look at some truly frightening Nightmare Night tales!
Comics everywhere! Actually a few of these have been sitting in the comic folder for a while. Guess I forgot to empty it! Click for full!

Description: For a thousand years, Princess Luna was erased from the history books. During that time, many things had changed, but none have affected Luna more so than the change in language. Even after many months of passing time, she wonders about language and words as she struggles to gain a better understanding of how to communicate with her fellow ponies.Language Barriers

License Magazine is an organization (and magazine!) that researches, analyzes, and ranks the top company brands in the world. As of 2012, Hasbro sits at #7 in their rankings. The license is valued at 5.2 billion dollars, and up a full 1.5 billion from last year, the company continues to grow by bounds, even managing to leapfrog properties such as Major League Baseball and Sanrio (the Hello Kitty company).
This shouldn't really come as a surprise in the wake of 2011's movie blockbusterama pushing brand awareness up huge percentages while (at least in the case of Transformers) also racking up record breaking box office sales. But where do ponies fit into all of this? From a business perspective, the answer is fairly nebulous. Ponies have continued to be labeled as a core brand of Hasbro, therefore drawing core brand focus. Specifically, Friendship is Magic rated as the top show on the Hub for 2011 (see page 7 of the 2011 issue), and "continuedd to be popular with consumers of all ages" heading into 2012 and beyond (see page 6). But while the excerpt mentions the success of pony merchandise in the area of clothing, publishing, toys, and accessories, it does not mention any new plans for the franchise (while it does for several of Hasbro's other mainstays).
Of course, too much speculation on this issue is an exercise in madness. Although mum has been the word on the company's further plans for this particular core property, My Little Pony has had its fair share of breakthroughs in terms of marketing opportunities, including the upcoming first print of the new comic line, the freshly released vinyl figurines, and even the increasingly impressive repertoire of We Love Fine products. If 3rd party licensing is the way of the future for the franchise, then virtually anything is possible.
Regardless of circumstances, it would appear that Hasbro is continuing to achieve its goals of expanding and reinventing its flagship properties, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a major part of that success. Only time will tell what, precisely, that means for the consumer base.
I remember two years ago when a My Little Pony game would have been thrown on the backburner and ignored. Here we are today with articles on pretty much every major gaming site!
Game Informer has done a quick interview with Gameloft covering the various aspects of Welcome to Ponyville. It details everything from unlockables to their opinion on why pony is so popular in the first place. Hit it up here!

Looks like all you Dr. Who fanatics (including me now, thanks a lot guys!) are about to get a treat! The next Funko molded figurine has confirmed to be the Doctor himself.
And joining him this time around from the cast of the mane six is everyones favorite animal loving recluse, Fluttershy! No images of either of them have been posted yet, but I'm sure we will see them up eventually! If Derpy and Rainbow are any indication, the release date will be the day after.
Thanks to Chase for the heads up!
