3D Pony Model - Octavia

New spinning 3D pony for you all from Hashbro over on Deviant Art! DJ P0n-3 had her chance at 3D glory so it makes sense that Octavia would have her shot at it as well.

Outstanding! They should have used her battle music though, it'd go great with her expression!

I believe that should say Hashbro, not Hasbro. I was slightly misled.

Guh, that's 'Hashbro' not 'Hasbro'

@Calpain I don't think Hasbro has been giving us these models. Try Hashbro? ;)

Hashbro, Seth. Not Hasbro.

I think you meant to say from Hashbro, not Hasbro. ;)

Hasbro made some show accurate ponies for us!
Oh wait.

I think this guy makes way better 3D pony models than those creepy garry's mod variants...

This is pretty ridiculous. I LOVE it. Someone needs to get a 3D printer >.>

I need these models so I can make papercraft of them. Seriously.

This song is stalking me, first I hear it, then I download it, then I subscribe to the person who made it, then I make it my ringtone, then my friends are referencing it to me, and now, finally, it shows up yet again on EqD.

Sigh.....

How appropriate, I JUST started reading Allegrezza. This guy is awesome :D

In particular, what I need are models where the additions to the base model (horn, wings, mane etc) are actually attached, and not simply clip into each other. Those are nearly impossible to assemble.

If Hasbro made toys that looked like that I would buy all of them.

ponders what the show would be like done with 3D animation

Nicely done! I wonder if these are gonna be assets for something much bigger down the road? Ooo potential.

What?? Is there a word limit now? Or am I just auto-banned for posting links?

Alllllrighty then, doing this yet again, this time with the useful links and html stripped out.

@XyroTR1, somepony already has, it was in a recent Nightly Roundup, and they linked to a company that specializes in 3D printing.

From my next post on custom pony models:

See reprap.org for information on how to build your own 3D printer.
(continued next reply, if this $#@& thing works.)

(ugh. finally.)

If you have a 3D model (such as Hashbro's 3D model of Octavia) saved as a STL, VRML, Collada or X3D file, you can also have Shapeways print your model. The materials Shapeways can print your model in includes stainless steel, silver, full color sandstone, plastic, ceramic and glass. They are priced per cm³, except for ceramics, which are priced at 18¢ per cm² and have low surface detail. Not counting ceramic, prices go from 75¢ to $20 per cm³, most are around $2. For instance, to remake the molded Twilight Sparkle from the Gift Set in "Full Color Sandstone", would cost 53 cm³ x 75¢ = $39.75US, and having her remade in PA 2200 (white nylon), for which there is a 50% discount after the first 20 cm³, would cost (20 cm³ x $1.40) + (33 cm³ x 70¢) = $28+ $23.10 = $51.10US. Add also a $1.50US for handling and between $6.50US and $19.99US for shipping, via UPS (deal killer for me, UPS will charge a $50 broker fee, on top of actual duties). They are located in Eindhoven in Holland and soon in New York City, USA.

Nice model, really, but why is the treble clef the wrong way round on her left flank?

Cutie marks in the show are mirrored.

Cool. This reminds me: How is that 3D printing form a while ago (post with two printed Trixies) coming along? Are there any fixed prices yet?
