A while back, I posted a discussion thread with "My Little Cephalopods"as the header... Apparently Brainbread took that as a challenge. Our cute little ponies now have full on plushie crustacean versions.

They remind me of Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land. If you swam by one of these they would chase you for several minutes. Always scared the hell out of me.
1) What drives somepony, when seeing a picture of ponies turned into cepholapods, to say to themselves, "You know, I think I'm going to make plushies out of those?"
2) What drives me, upon seeing the finished product, to go "D'awwww"?
I'm really not sure if I find the adorable or horrifying. They have their charm but are really unsettling. Especially since the Twilight plush looks like the offspring of a squid mating with a narwhal. Not a nice image.
