    5. We're sure of one thing... the evening will have explosive implications. And that the episode will take place at night, maybe there will be a Rave and DJ V.

    9. I think that Lauren Faust tricked us, I can't belive that such important character as Luna wouldn't appear again in S1.

    10. If it ends in a cliff hanger I will worry that I will some how die before I get to see the next season

      ReplyDelete
    11. Unless Luna's life is so miserable and lonely that she even misses the best night ever.

      ReplyDelete
    12. maybe Spike burns down ponyville for lawls

      ReplyDelete
    13. I think this is the gala one perhaps?

      ReplyDelete
    14. At first I thought. "And then with that every shipping pair was made cannon. All of them." and then my rational mind kicked and got what it meant. It's the Grand Galloping Gala we finally get to see. We only seem to see what happened before and slightly after it judging by episodes but never the events of that night. My guess is the writers wanted to show us the dynamics that leads to their behavior. Either way I'M FREAKN' EXCITED FOR THIS!

    15. The title screams "Rainbow Dash" to me.

      I approve.

      ReplyDelete
    16. The last one will be on my birthday.
Should be my best birthday ever!

      ReplyDelete
    17. No Luna you fools.
      Not until season two.

My bet is that they meet a depressed Trixie at the gala.

      ReplyDelete
    18. Best Night Ever...? Perhaps; Best Night...FOREVEEEER!!!

      ReplyDelete
    19. Huh, if it IS the Gala episode, I'll be really surprised, since I was expecting it to be a two parter for...some reason. I'm just realizing I had no basis to believe that it would be, haha.

Then again, the Gala episode(s) COULD be the beginning of season 2, and then we'd get some Luna action...

      ReplyDelete
    20. best night ever, last episode.. that sounds really like a last episode, i don't know why..
THANKS god we know there will be a second season

      ReplyDelete
    21. Sounds like a shipping story title...just sayin.

      ReplyDelete
    22. Luna won't be seen until Season Two, but I can already tell I'm going to love this episode.

      ReplyDelete
    23. ITS THE MOTHERFUCKING GRAND GALLOPING GALA

I BET MY LEFT HIND HOOF THAT THIS HAS AN EPIC MUSCIAL NUMBER

    24. After winning the best young fliers competition Rainbow Dash enjoys an evening with her idols, the Wonderbolts.

And by enjoy an evening I mean orgy.

      Best. Night. Ever.

    25. This is the episode where Trixie comes back.

      olol

      ReplyDelete
    26. Best night without Luna in this season??? Meh. I see only great shipping night here can be possible.

But what if... Lauren have lied us? To make a surprise??? What if there will be Luna in this episode???

      ReplyDelete
    27. Best title ever.

      /r/ perfection on last episode

      ReplyDelete
    28. Gala gala gala gala.

      ReplyDelete
    29. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET LUNA BE IN IT

      ReplyDelete
    30. Given that title, and with it being the season finale, the odds of it being the Gala seem to be good.

As for Luna, I see three things that would easily fit with what has been said: She's there, but doesn't interact with the plot at all. She's not there for some understandable reason, (either personal, professional[1] or both). They're willing to pull either a cross-season two parter, (or at least a pair of linked episodes[2]), and will give Luna a large role in next season's opener.

[1] e.g. Taking the load off of Celestia for the day or catching up on all the history she missed.

[2] i.e. A direct continuation of events, but separate plots.

If that were to come true I would not only come frosting, but RAINBOW frosting.

Also, it's got to be the Great Galloping Gala.

But you wanna know what I just realised? Luna was going to get a cameo in this episode (which is why Lauren kept saying to expect Luna sometime soon) - but with the announcement of Season 2, Luna will become a ....oh god... recurring character!

      that's my birthday too!

    33. @5t3v0

Do not think so. It's too important thing to joke with.

      ReplyDelete
    34. Lauren already confirmed that Luna won't reappear until next season.

I agree with the Grand Galloping Gala ideas though.

      ReplyDelete
    35. It's the night of the Grand Galloping Gala, and everypony is excited. However, once the mane cast arrives everything goes horribly wrong. They help each other and in the last possible second, it turns into the best night ever.

Then Twilight delivered the most epic letter to Celestia of the entire season.

    36. @Don_ko

Yeah, I saw the part at the top. Though I thought there were 25 episodes, not 26 which lead me to believe it was april foals.

"Dear Princess Celestia, I never thought it would happen to me, but when Pinkie Pie arrived with the tub of frosting, I knew it was going to be the Best Night Ever..."

    38. You know, I actually think this is gonna be an episode that deals with all of them splitting up, going their seperate ways. Everyone finds an occupation related to their dream/favorite hobby, and it leads to them finding out that they'll all have to leave each other.

Rainbow Dash will be going with the Wonderbolts on a tour, Fluttershy goes to a special school or something to pursue a career in being an animal doctor, Rarity moves to a new town to fully engage in her dream as a fashion designer, Applejack stays in Ponyville with her farm, but Twilight has to return to Canterlot to resume her studies, or something.

I just really like this idea and I know it'll make for a sad episode, but it would be a great way to segue into Season 2, like after a year or so apart. Maybe get a new cast in? I dunno...

Well, I'm happy to know that we have an airdate now.

    39. [s]Twilight Sparkle loses her virginity[/s]

      Yeah, probably the G3.

      ReplyDelete
    40. Come to think of it, hadn't Lauren Faust said we will see mane cast's parents in some episodes?

      ReplyDelete
    41. So Pinkie and Dash finally get together?

'cuz that sounds like the best night ever to me. XD

      ReplyDelete
    42. Gotta Agree it's the long awaited Grand Galloping Gala eps.
I do like that idea about a cross-season 2-parter though maybe not a complete cliffhanger but something that sets up the mood for the next season premier.

      ReplyDelete
    43. @ultra8

Yeah I think they will have some cliffhanger stuff inside as buildup for the next saison. Was it clear when they finished saison 1 one that there was going to be a season 2 or did they decide that on the audience rating ? If they did it on the later I guess they will do some kind of close up for the season.

    44. Speculation:

Steven Magnet happens. Best night ever.

      ReplyDelete
    45. My theory: grand Galloping Gala episode. And since there was probably the possibility that the show wouldn't get renewed, while they wrote it, they wrote a real doozy just in case, so the show'd go out with a bang. Fortunately, it won't be going out quite yet.

      ReplyDelete
    46. Okay, my guess: "Party Of One" and "The Best Night Ever" will both take place at the Grand Galloping Gala. At first everypony will do what they imagined in Ticket Master, but will soon see it's boring without their friends. They meet up and compromise on what they should do OR learn to appreciate the things the other ponies like. End Party Of One. Okay, I haven't got anything for Best Night Ever, but' surely it'll be great.

Parents have nothing to deal with TBNE.

I guess they will appear in flashbacks in the last CMC episode. Do you remember the description? And that's it! We gonna see main cast as a babies and there should be their parents around.

    48. I'm more of a casual fan, not a hardcore brony, and I've never fapped to MLP, but I'll tell you one thing for sure:

Unless this episode features Rainbow Dash in a filly three-way, they got the title wrong.

      ReplyDelete
    49. @Anonymous
I'm pretty sure Triple Rainbows only happen in daylight.

      ReplyDelete
    50. remember that Lauren is some kind of troll, maybe this is atually a Luna's episode.
remember when she anounced that we were going to see luna again but that it will take some time? that was way before she announced second season.
someone asked her about second season but she replied :I dunno Lol"

      ReplyDelete
    51. I hope It's the Gala episode, It would be a fitting end to the first season and it's what we all so desperately want. I don't know why everyone thinks the Gala episode was going to be a two-parter. As far as I can tell, the first two episodes were a way to set up the series and then the rest of the episodes were more self contained like Hasbro wanted. A two part finale would be cool, but I don't see it as likely.

      ReplyDelete
    52. It IS a two-part finale.

      ReplyDelete
    53. @Anonymous I'm sure your life would be miserable, too, if you were imprisoned in a tower in Canterlot by your own sister after being reform-schooled by six ponies less than half your age.

      ReplyDelete
    54. AHEM.

      >final episode of season
      >called "The Best Night Ever"
      >Daniel Ingram promised epic musical number with parts for all the mane cast

Lyra, Bon-Bon, Bubbly Shine, DJ P0N-3, Dr. Whoof, and Carrot Top.

      I DEMAND IT.

    56. This episode is more like..........
In the beautiful night, at the Galloping Gala, Princess Luna had a romantic dance with a handsome male pony.
The night sky was brighter than ever, cool breeze flows, the night was beautiful once again in all Equestria!
And she says "This is Best Night I Ever had!"

    58. This was such an amazing episode, even more so that this was on my birthday, even though I didn't actually watch it(or heard of it) because I was at a Boston Red Sox game(I'm not sure the outcome) and the day after I danced at "T.G.I. Fridays" and it hit YouTube. Perfect season finale and it was "The Best Night(of MLP)Ever"! Thanks. L8S!
