• EFNW Announces a Ton of Community Guests!

EFNW has a whole bunch of community guests to announce for this year's event, including a ton of EqD staff that will be on site (as well as Seth, when he can be pried away from Trixie/Glimmer).

Wish I could go, but I'll probably be on an island in the middle of Lake Michigan around that time. Hope everyone has fun!

Get the rest of the details after the break!

Everfree Northwest is quickly approaching and we’re bringing in a bunch of talented community guests. We are pleased to welcome community guests from cosplayers and artists from all corners of the world and the fandom, to those who work tirelessly to keep Equestria Daily running, to big names in the fanfiction and analysis communities. Read all about the community guests for Everfree NW below, and see what they have to offer in the thriving My Little Pony fandom.  Join us for Everfree 2018 for an opportunity to meet these talented community guests along with our VIP guests!

Dana Simpson is the cartoonist responsible for the syndicated comic strip, and graphic novel series, "Phoebe and Her Unicorn." Before that, she drew the popular webcomic "Ozy and Millie." She's also a Seattle native, and was an Everfree Northwest staff artist for three years (she created EFNW's visor-wearing mascot Front Page).

Igor, as a fan of the show since late 2011, has two long term goals in the fandom. The first is to create fashionable formal-wear accessories with which to allow ponies to be brought into nearly any working environment, and through this to ever so slowly elevate the fashion of the fandom at large. This may be a slow process, but it's certainly a worthwhile one. Now with the addition of two lasers, the inexhaustible pursuit of lasering ponies on all sorts of things is in full swing as well.

The second is, accepting the inevitable AI singularity and our eventual cybernetic overlords, to help make sure that there is pony present there as well. To this end, he has built a virtual reality simulation of Ponyville, with close to a hundred AI ponies, and a slowly expanding series of quests. A demo of this fledgling virtual world will be running at his vendor hall table via an Oculus Rift and the magic that is modern technology. Donning the headset it is possible for anyone to temporarily abandon their current existence and take on the form of a diminutive equine avatar.

Selfie Snapshots aka The Selfie Pony is Everfree Northwest’s legendary Selfie taking horse. Selfie is on her 10th “Selfie Quest” as she returns to her home con. If you find Selfie wandering around the con obtaining selfies, don’t be shy. Everypony is welcome to help with the Selfie Quest, and everypony who helps gets a “Selfie Card” with their Selfie Number so they can find it online via Twitter, @TheSelfiePony.

The ever-shimmering Titania is a passionate cosplayer an aspiring voice actress. Some of her favorite cosplays include Sunset Shimmer, Princess Celestia, and Sonata Dusk. Originally from Seattle, Titania travels across the country for different pony conventions, and she is the performer for BronyCon's mascot, Mane Event. She has participated in the Grand Galloping Gala in 2015 as Queen Chrysalis, and she has performed in a multitude of panels alongside Shelbeanie and Sarahndipity. She also has done a few fan voice acting projects and cover videos. When she isn't working intensively on cosplay, she is either admiring every shibe doge on earth, dyeing her hair crazy colors, or just being your friendly neighborhood spoop. To learn more about Titania, check her out on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @TitaniaSpade.

Sarahndipity, a licensed cosmetologist and multi-fandom cosplayer, prides herself on being a mermaid, making puns, and being completely composed of glitter and sprinkles. You may recognize her as Pacific PonyCon’s Mascot, Silver Strand, Everfree Northwest’s official Pinkie Pie and Aria Blaze character performer, and as the Pinkie Pie MC for BronyCon’s Grand Galloping Gala for almost four years running. Her proudest cosplay accolade is winning the Judge’s Award for her Princess Luna cosplay at Soundwave Mini-Con in 2016  Her love for cosmetology, acting, makeup, and styling wigs all cater to her passion for making costumes.

She also enjoys presenting panels at conventions across the country centered around these topics. In her spare time, when she is not working on costumes, she enjoys painting, writing, and crying over floofy puppies. If you wish to know more about Sarah, check her out @sarahndipity212 on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Patreon!

Maddymoiselle is a passionate cosplayer, actress, and life-long pony lover! Some of her favorite ponies to cosplay include Sunset Shimmer, Moondancer, and Princess Cadence. Maddy feels so very fortunate to have been able to travel across the country attending and performing at different pony conventions - you may recognise her as Pacific Ponycon’s mascot Mission Belle, as Everfree Northwest’s official Sunset Shimmer, as Pinkie Pie from Bronycon’s 2017 Grand Galloping Gala, or as a variety of other crazy characters in many different panels! When Maddy isn’t busy working on costumes she loves to take way too many selfies, pretend to be a princess, and cry over cute animals. To find out more about Maddymoiselle, check her out on Facebook as "Maddymoiselle", her Instagram @maddy.moiselle, or her Twitter @maddy_moiselle!

Shelbeanie Cosplay is an avid cosplayer, actress, and life long lover of ponies!  Known for her many My Little Pony, Princess, and Gravity Falls cosplays, Shelbeanie has been sewing and designing costumes for half of her life.  Among some of her favorite cosplays to date are Adagio Dazzle (with Sarahndipity and Bloo) and Princess Twilight Sparkle.  She has a degree in music and a love of voice over work, which she frequently uses through various youtube and live stage work.  Shelbeanie is an active member of Realtime Fandub and a part time Princess.  In her free time she enjoys promoting the magic of friendship and snuggling her sugar gliders.

Sethisto is the head pony at Equestria Daily. He’ll post his ponies and there’s nothing you can do about it!!!!! He uses the exclamation point way too much, plays Skype/Discord/Steam social whack-a-mole for one half the day, and digs through emails for the other half.

People seem to think he likes Trixie way too much! To them he says: “Pretty much.”

(Honestly Twilight Sparkle Sweet Velvet is his favorite pony~)

His OC apparently got locked in a cube or something, so have his bat.

CouchCrusader is the product of a stuffed animal's boundless imagination, loosed upon the world to make absurd jokes and make absurd jokes. Aside from providing convention coverage and episode followups on Equestria Daily, Couch also runs Children of Everfree, a Tumblr askblog that makes monsters of the Mane 6.

Around September 2012 Gameleon contacted Sethisto about a little app he was creating to view EQD posts. Over the following 6 months this little app would evolve to become what is now known as the Equestria Daily app, done just in time to be released for the Season 3 finale news.
Let's just say the app was properly stress tested during Gameleon's first few days on the team.
Aside from his app development duties, his contribution to EQD consist of posting minor news posts, and confusing us all with a 7-9 hour time difference and kilometers.

After joining the fandom in March of 2011—and watching Over a Barrel as his first brand new episode—The Illustrious Q was a fairly quiet member of the Brony fandom willing to just enjoy the show and let other more interested/energetic people make their mark in the fandom.
Then the IDW Comic series was announced in July in 2012, and that completely changed. Absorbing any and all pieces of information about the comic series—in addition to buying everything related to that series in sight—The Illustrious Q quickly became one of the fandoms experts on the My Little Pony Comic world. Once he had started interviewing and submitting interviews of the IDW staff to Equestria Daily, it wasn’t long before he was invited aboard as their Comic Expert.

"User" started getting into ponies around 2012 with the now defunct Pony Fortress 2 and Friendship is Gaming online communities and joined up with Equestria Daily in early 2017 as a community administrator who oversees the EQD forums, steam group, Discord (which you should join by the way!) He's considered by many to be a diehard Trixie loyalist and often mistaken for Sethisto himself whether in game or in other chat mediums due to his praise for best pony. Other top tier mares of his include Starlight Glimmer, Sunset Shimmer, and Lightning Dust.

Hailing from the Toronto area in Canada he has a lifelong interest for traveling and that obviously translated over to attending conventions once he became a brony. He enjoys helping out with press work when needed for EQD.

Novel-Idea is the author of the Wavelengths Timeline (and many others), Project Lead of Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm and designer of many a FimFic cover, Novel-Idea discovered MLP:FiM toward the end of Season 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it while everyone else was panicking about technicolor humans and magical wings.

After helping lead the charge to 50K in National Pony Writing Month in 2016, Novel returned in 2017 and orchestrated the greatest NaPoWriMo to date! After NaNo’s success (and only three straightjackets, a new personal record!), Novel stumbled upon the insane idea of helping out Equestria Daily with a deeper coverage of MLP fanfiction. He’s now enjoying his latest straightjacket. It’s purple.

When not in his straightjackets, Novel’s obsessively writing a minimum of 1,000 words a day on his lunch breaks, usually about Sunset Shimmer and/or Shipping and/or Deerponies. When not doing that, he spends time with his wife, Painted Heart and his two daughters, Primary Colour and Sunny Stage.

Oroboro got his start writing Haruhi Suzumiya Fanfiction in 2011, and found his way to the pony fandom in 2013 with a convoluted meta-murder-mystery he couldn't get out of his head. Now, he's found a comfortable niche writing EQG romance/drama fics such as Fractured Sunlight, and shipping Sunset Shimmer with every character that so much as makes eye contact.

If you want someone to blame for your addiction to Sunset Shimmer, the Albinocorn is probably the root of it all. Someone was dumb enough to give this child a keyboard and a picture of Sunset, and it’s been all downhill ever since. A fanfiction writer since 2012, he’s spent five of the last six years writing long adventures and character analysis of one character. Someone should really take that keyboard from him.

Self-Proclaimed Leader of the Rarity Defense Squad, Monochromatic is widely regarded as the prime example of a ship choosing the author. Predominantly a romance writer, she is responsible for The Enchanted Library series and far too many RariTwi fics. She is also very much like Rarity. Except for the fashion sense. And the vocabulary. And the fabulosity. And the generosity. Actually, she's nothing like her, but isn't perfection a rarity, after all?

Titanium Dragon joined the fandom in early 2013, completing his binge-watch of the first three seasons just in time to get in arguments about how awesome Twilight becoming an alicorn was and how much Applejack and Rarity need to kiss. Since then, he has been drawn into the fanfiction community, and despite his initial resistance to writing fanfiction, has written over 40 stories, the most famous likely being two stories centered around the relationship between Twilight and Celestia - The Stars Ascendant and Forever and Again and Again - as well as the popular comedy Dying To Get There and The Collected Poems of Maud Pie. As an active reviewer, he has reviewed over 1,000 stories, and looks forward to reading the next 1,873 stories on his read later list.

Lea Dabssi, known throughout the fandom as Imalou, is an amazingly talented young artist hailing from France and living in Ireland. Her current work involves character design on a CG feature about a very well known Hasbro franchise as part of the Boulder Media studio based in Dublin, Ireland.

Lea has been drawing seriously since age 11, beginning with her first tablet and Photoshop, and then becoming a freelance concept artist on various secret projects for the game industry and TV series once she started working professionally in 2016. Lea trained at New3Dge art school in Paris for 1 year and has been a part of the My Little Pony fandom since 2011, drawing ponies ever since.

She loves animals and animation - especially The Amazing World of Gumball and the anime, Card Captor Sakura. Her mother is a landscape artist, and her sister is an illustrator, so she comes from a very artsy family. Her favorite vacation spot is the beach near her place in Nantes where she indulges in a true French baguette or pain au chocolat while she dreams that the love of her life will appear with a crepe and okonomiyakis. Her favorite pony is Pinkie Pie, and with a such of love of french pastry, we can’t blame her.

Lea’s artistic inspirations are Gosia Arska, Ryan Lang, Aaron Blaise, Nathan Fowkes along with talent from the pony fandom such as Crookedtrees, Asassinmonkey, Celebi-Yoshi, Cannibalus and Yakovlev-val.

Dusty Katt - AKA The Manliest Brony in the World
Who is this goofball? And why can’t people stop staring at that mustache? Dusty’s life is a manly checklist. The son of an auto worker (have you driven a Ford lately?), high school and college athlete (baseball, football), former bodyguard and ranch hand, trained Big Time wrestler, and Harley mechanic whose custom motorcycles have appeared on the cover of “Easyriders”. A pessimist would say “he can’t make up his mind”; an optimist would say “no single career is big enough for his mustache”. And he watches a cartoon show intended for little girls. Well, what do you expect from the Manliest Brony in the World? What’s with that? Well, aside from making him grin like someone who just found a twenty dollar bill in his underwear, it’s given him a chance to do what he does best: ham it up. Dusty is known primarily for his former show “Stay Brony My Friends”, his YouTube videos which have gone viral, and separating convention-goers from their money at charity auctions. Dusty fearlessly treads upon the crushed skulls of YouTube trolls and hack journalists as he destroys stereotypes. What he is most proud of, though, is his fans. The finest bronies in the world (his audience… that includes YOU, right?) have come together to raise over 50,000 dollars for a variety of charities. This has also piqued the curiosity of documentary filmmakers. He can be seen in “Thatch and Dial”, a Youtube series he is collaborating on with Andy Stein (Mandopony), as well at the Analyst Anarchy TF2 series with Dr. Wolf and friends. His continued appearances on Bronies React, and new gig as multiple characters on the Fallout Equestria radio play by East Corp. Productions as well as in the animation “Allister and Melody by Luximus. He co-starred in a student film called “Under” with an on screen roll. And completed his first book narrations in the “Portals of Infinity” series with book 3 “Of Temples and Trials” and book 4 “The Sea of Grass” on both Audible and Ibooks. Stay Brony, my Friends.

Foal Papers, or Foaly to folks who know him, has been in the small personal horse fandom for over seven years, and still isn’t quite sure what to make of the whole thing, or why he keeps getting invited to conventions. That said, he’s incredibly grateful for all the remarkable opportunities it’s afforded him: chances to host panels with the Powers That Be of the pony world, to lend his support to charity auctions and fundraising campaigns, to participate in serious podcasts and silly live-streams… in short, to have repeatedly been in the privileged position to help people make good memories, while also creating some brilliant ones for himself. When he isn’t running around as Star Swirl the Bearded or putting the kettle on for yet another cup of tea, you can find him tweeting too much as @foalpapers. Be excellent to each other.

ILoveKimPossibleAlot (KP) is a YouTube critic, entertainer, and an analyst in the Brony community. Don't let the username fool you, she packs a punch with her content! KP is known for being a funny, lively personality that takes analyzing and talking about character troupes to a fun extreme. With over 125,000 subscribers, she is known for her humor, her wit, her movie referencing power and being the #1 Discord fangirl on the interwebs!

    https://www.youtube.com/ilovekimpossiblealot

KP has always had a knack for reviewing and analyzing and a general interest in understanding why people are drawn to media. She’s especially drawn to animation shows, and you can see what led her on the path for loving the horse fandom. KP joined the fandom mid-season 3 officially, and unofficially since mid-season 2. What pushed her to get involved and to later make content is her fascination and interest in the character of Discord. Once she found herself passionate about analyzing him, the rest fell into place, and she started making content. Her channel produces a range of short analyzing spotlights, podcasts, reviews, and animations.

She is also an interesting case, because unlike some, KP has a production team that helps her continually produce content. You can find more about that by checking out some of her panels!

KABOOM! It's Josh Scorcher! The fiery joker has been doing YouTube for almost a decade, slowly building his audience while balancing a military career and then college. He is most known for his gaming countdowns where rants, with mini-editorials about a various topic. He is the co-creator of TF2 Analysis Anarchy and CO of FOBEquestria, a military brony organization, and the host and dungeon master of three online D&D campaigns: Welcome to the Show, Tyranny of Dragons, and Curse of Strahd.Part reviewer, writer, comic artist, and all-around nut, Silver Quill’s role is as mixed as his hippogriff character. Actively participating in the fandom since 2012 through fan comics, Silver gained an audience that followed him to YouTube. His “After the Fact” series takes a comedic look at individual episodes and themes running throughout the series. He serves as an editorial and review contributor to Equestria Daily and recently revived the “Pinkie Pie Says Goodnight” comic series. Some might call him a horse’s patoot, but they’re just stating biological fact.

Greetings and Welcome everyone.  I am DRWolf.  I actually started a Youtube channel to work on my voice acting, but it's still a lot of fun finding what inspires me about MLP.  This show and the fandom surrounding it has become rather intriguing.  Quite unlike anything I've come across before.  Perhaps if you stay awhile, I can help you find some inspiration too.

The Midnight Mares creator C. Allan Gann developed this series as a "young adult" offering to other mainstream animated cartoons, and the full-length trailer was successfully funded by "Brony-Backers" through Kickstarter last summer. At the "Midnight Mares" booth, C. Allan Gann will be signing autographs and his team will be selling limited edition collectible toys.

His daytime job involves running "Gann Memorials Custom Plush Toys", which has previously manufactured 4DE's "My Little Pony" toys, along with mascot plushies for BronyCon, Ponycon NYC, BABSCon, TrotCon, Super Speedy Cider Con, BronyCAN, UK Ponycon, and our very own 2018 Everfree Northwest!
