• Stay Brony My Friends Charity with Vincent Tong

Stay Brony My Friends is here to start off the new month with a new interview and a new charity to support! Who is the Manliest Brony interviewing this time? Vincent Tong of course! Let's all give him a big hand as we donate to his charity of choice, The Covenant House of Vancouver.

Check on after the break for the interview and some information on Vincent and where you can donate.

Here on Stay Brony My Friends, we like contrasts.

Cute little ponies fighting epic crater-gouging battles. Manly men watching shows about cartoon unicorns having picnics and tea parties. A voice actor who play the biggest jerkwads in Equestria having a heart of gold. And members of the “entitlement” generation, supposedly the most self centered generation since the Ronald Reagan era, showing that they're really a generous bunch.

Vincent Tong, voice actor for such lovables as Prince Blueblood and Flash Sentry, stopped by to issue this week's Manly Challenge. He wants us to support the Covenant House of Vancouver, and you're invited to do exactly that.

Being out on the street is a nightmare at any age, but when you’re young it’s even worse. There’s no need to list the horrible things that happen every day to young men and women who, for whatever reason, are without a home and who are outside of the protections that the rest of us enjoy. It’s foul, it’s wrong and it’s got to stop.

How does the saying go… “there but for the grace of god go I”… yeah.

The Covenant House of Vancouver is a shelter for young adults who have nowhere else to go. Protection, food, medical help, education and offering a path out of the streets are what they are all about. The Covenant House makes no judgments about why they are on the streets, or what they had to do to survive… it’s all about helping people have a future worth living for.

Your donations go straight to helping people come in from the cold. As always, your donations are matched one dollar per five from Caerdwyn up to 100 matching, so your help goes even farther.

This is real, this is hardcore, and this is what we’re all about.

And here's the kicker! Vincent himself works as a volunteer in the Covenant House, spending his off-hours helping out. There's an important message here: even if you don't have extra cash to donate, you can always contribute your time. It's not just about the dollars, it's about the hours. No matter who you are you can help, and as Vincent knows first-hand, nothing makes you feel better than making a positive difference in someone's life and seeing the results.

Come see Vincent's show at Dusty's YouTube page! Hear it for yourself! Then donate.
