• The Hub Free For Dish Network Customers

Good news for everyone out there with Dish Network and a lack of special programming subscriptions.  The Hub will be completely free as a trial preview from the 4th of October all the way to the 3rd of November.

In other words, no more fighting for a livestream! Just turn on your TV and watch pony when it airs.

Check out this page for more information!

    1. Helpful for those of you who actually live in the US. Us overseas bronies still need the livestreams.

    5. Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts.

Just in time for the Halloween special too.

    6. Yeah! So the first source of New Ponies for the Dish Network audience will be the Second part of the Discord Episodes!

      ...Wait, what?

Still need something like this in the UK though. Put it on CBBC or CITV or something similar. Something available to all us Freeview owners.

    8. Is dish network something everyone has or something?

    9. Eh, I hate Dish with a passion due to their shotty customer service and claiming that a cancelation payment wasn't received after paying it off over a year ago. So, imagine my surprise to be contacted by a collection agency twice, first time I disputed, second time(5 months later) they said they suggest I pay the settlement fee to just get it over with...

But I digress.. because OCTOVER is awesome :D

    10. I would order HUB in an instant if I still had Direct TV, but when I moved to Hawaii I had to ditch it because a monster 5ft dish is required out here for an HD signal...

    12. >Octover

    14. Well...goes back to planning a winning strategy to get a spot in a livestream...again...

    15. That's pretty awesome for those that have it. I'm in the 'Australia y no Ponies' category so it doesn't affect me in the slightest. Oh well.

Luna fans are either envious or bouncing off the walls right now, I can tell.

    19. Well I live in the UK so it's still livestream for me. Hopefully this means they will be less crowded though.

    20. Wasn't the show coming to Cartoon Network for us Aussie bronies? Or is it a different Cartoon Network than the one that we get on Foxtel?

    21. I live in Canada.
I refuse to watch Treehouse TV.
They're late to air FiM and they censor everything for their preschooler demographic.
      Also, they're TREEHOUSE TV!
That said, the picture in the original post reminded me of the song "Razzle Dazzle." Hehehe.

      I'll wait for the DVD.
I hope they have an alternate colour box. Assuming they follow the predictable colour scheme, pink will really stand out on my DVD shelf, and not in a good way. Might have to make a brown, black, or even dark blue cover to put over it so it doesn't look so gaudy! :P

    22. Yeeeeess! They only used to have the Hub on their 250 channel package. I would have never even noticed if it hadn't been posted here on EqD.

    23. Shame my parents switched to Xfinity a few months ago. And I also have Xfinity. Why no love for Xfinity? I'm supposed to have a premium package and I still can't get the Hub!

    26. actually, having found this out myself last night, the free trial doesn't end 11/3, it ends on 12/1.

    27. Oh sweet! We have dish but the channel was already part of our package to begin with so no change for me, but this is nice for those who didn't have it. I have to say for those with an itch for older television it's a great channel later at night. Family Ties, Wonder Years, Lavern & Shirley,Happy Days, Doogie Howser MD, Batman (OOOOOLDSCHOOOOOOL with Adam West), and the original Transformers cartoon. The original GI Joe cartoon loses me though, "YO JOE!" is my sign that it's time to turn off the TV and get to bed. FIM isn't the only good show on the channel, they actually got some other good stuff to show too, makes it easy for me since I don't ever have to change the channel. XD

    31. I have dealt with DishNet before, horriable customer service experience. Went with DirecTV and never looked back. Sure I have to pay almost $80 a month for the service but their customer service is top notch and worth the price!

    32. Time Warner and their digital block has hub for free.

    33. I have FiOS. Oh well, there's always Youtube... After all, I always wake up around the afternoon on weekends, so it's no problem for me (especially since I live in the pacific time zone)
