So wait, this is a story about Applebloom believing TV is overtaking radio as a music Medium?

@Anonymous That pic was actually drawn for another story, found here: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/05/story-nightfall-at-sweet-apple-acres.html

@Anonymous
That's what the song Radio Ga Ga is about.

@Dave Mustang, the cynical Brony A fic doesn't have to be based on the literal meaning of the lyrics. Instead of focusing on the specific, literal interpretation of the lyrics I pulled it back and focused on remembering things that had been forgotten or left behind us. Comparing this story to the song, the ponies represent the radio and the stars were the people that watched the show.

I really hate explaining the mechanics of my stories, but there it is.

Pretty heart-warming story, Pagemaster... Plus, nice interpretation of Queen lyrics. 5/5

Holy fuck. This was AWESOME. I 'got it' right around AJ was talking about Derpy (...Sorry Ditzy. Its just a fun nickname. We don't have to call you that if it makes you upset ;_;)

Anyways, 5 stars. Bloody brilliant... especially since I happened to be listening to this at the same time.

Aww...anyone else say goodnight to Applebloom out loud?

That was a cute little story! I liked it a lot. And anything with Queen gets 5 stars in my book.

They need a new tag for stories that end on an upbeat note....

I was just reading the story normally when I came across the meta section. I literally said out loud "OH SNAP!" and started laughing.

...By the way, why is this tagged as Sad? o.o

Ouch. That's kind of creepy. I feel bad, somehow.

I'M SORRY APPLE BLOOM ;_;

@Venlin

I just got the idea that we're gone between seasons, which would mean we're gone now.

We'll be back Applebloom :D

During the Middle Ages, there was a folk belief that the stars were windows in the firmament of the sky, letting in the light of Heaven beyond. The windows were there so the Saints and Angels could open them and watch the mortals on Earth -- a "Cloud of Witnesses" of those who had gone before. And when they opened them to look out upon Earth, those upon Earth saw them as the stars in the sky.

I wonder if Pagemaster knew of that?

Honestly, I thought they were just fireflies, caught up in that big bluish black thing.
