A new event is starting up on ponychan. Each month is being assigned a different element of harmony. It's one of those "improve the world through ponies and friendship!" things, which is always good in my book!

This is an awesome idea, but it would help more if we had something of "confirmed dates" of important events, like Winter-Wrap Up and so on.

The holiday of Kindness - April 6th.
The holiday of Laughter - June 6th
The holiday of Generosity - August 6th
The holiday of Loyalty - October 6th
The holiday of Magic - December 6th
This is awesome. So far, Kindness day, we wear some yellow or pink and do our best to be kind to others with no benefit to ourselves.
Also since it's kinda Fluttershy themed it probably could also involve kindness to animals ... and trees, of course.
Woah, my idea is on Equestria Daily! This day just can't get any better! :3

ReplyDeleteApril 6th is The Elements of Harmony: Kindness day!
Don't be mean, celebrate with us!
-Kindness! Do something or lots of somethings for others with no benefit to yourself.
-Wear some yellow or pink in honor of Fluttershy who represents the Element of Kindness.
-Being Fluttershy themed, don't hesitate to be kind to animals...and trees...as well.
-Anonymously give some kind words or encouragement to at least one person who you think needs it.
-Be kind to yourself too. Give yourself a day off from your problems and worries.
Be well and Happy KINDNESS DAY!"

How it could get better? Make it a whole MONTH.
ReplyDeleteAnd throw some Luna in there. Seriously, too much Luna is always a good thing.
Unless they screw up her character in season two, then we'll all be bucking up the wrong tree.

ReplyDeleteWinter Wrap-Up day is simple, it's the day before spring arrives. That would place Winter Wrap-Up around the 19th of March in the northern hemisphere and around the 22nd of September in the southern hemisphere.
The Running of the Leaves is more problematic since the autumn colour reaches peak at different dates at different latitudes.
All these proposed FIM holidays are awesome. Making the 6 mane holidays on the 6th of every even-numbered month is brillant.
The Magic holiday, December 6th, is simple to celebrate: Friendship is Magic, thus Magic = Friendship. Ergo, celebrate your friends on December 6th.
