I have no clue what is going on here. Something about a giant flying Rita and Luna doing stuff with an evil Pinkie pie, but that doesn't matter at all! Ponies are animated.
There is a bit of blood for the squeamish out there, but nothing too serious.

I have no idea what was going on, but that was awesome. I have a feeling it was suppose to be a spoof of animes and how much stuff we cross ponies with, but maybe not. Really good regardless!

Yeah Winona was suppose to be Falcor right? Not sure how much else had to do with Never Ending story though.
@D. Shadows Yeah! That movie is a classic! I thought it was a crossover of never ending story when I saw Spitfire riding on Winona.
I kinda got the Falcor/Winona thing, but that was it. Still, I love "Birdhouse in your soul", so it had that going for it too.

To be fair homestuck is like reading a book that never ends, I got hours into it over several days, but it didn't save my progress and I really, really don't feel like catching up at this point. For that reason some of the references probably went over my head, and I'm sure a lot of others will miss them too.
What the crap? That was...bizarre.

But then ponies started dying. Not so awesome.
NOTE: This isn't part of a story at all. This is just a flash meant to imitate the type of Flashes you would see in Homestuck. This is just meant to look cool and to throw references to several Tumblr AskBlogs. Keep that in mind before you try to overanalyze it.

@Kyronea If it makes you feel any better, any of the ones who died on what looked like really fancy/ritualistic deathbeds were actually becoming gods. That's kind of a simplified version of how Homestuck (which is the thing this is a Ponyfied tribute to) works. So most of them aren't dead. But it also looked like some still were. So =(

This is actually a pretty good imitation of a typical Homestuck flash. And Homestuck is not an animation, it's a webcomic. The fact that it has animated segments (one of which is 13 minutes long!), as well as it's own soundtrack (8 albums plus bonus albums, and one album has 65 songs on it), plus the fact that it has over 4500 updates (most single panels, some multiple panels, some with long dialogue, some animated flashes, some PLAYABLE flashes), and that it usually updates multiple times daily, all while being less than three years old should tell you that it's pretty epic.
Oh yeah, and it's not just the author pushing out random crap every day so he can say he updated. It's one of the most complicated and intricate stories I've read, and has a tendency to remind you frequently that you actually have no idea what's going on. It seems like every time a question about the storyline is answered, we get 10 more questions.
TL;DR Homestuck is probably the best webcomic I've read, and this flash is a good homage to it, imitating it in both style and content.
This is actually cool enough that it made me want to go watch Cascade again. I never rewatch Cascade because of how long it is, but I just really felt like it after this pony video.

It took me up until Grimdark BigMac's appearance to realize this had a whole bunch of AskTumblr-Ponies in it.
I only read like... 13 pages of Homestuck, so I guess that's why I was lost for the most part.
I didn't know what the heck was happening at first until I started noticing some Tumblr ponies. So I guess Spitfire was dreaming of a bunch of Tumblr ponies. :P Also, Dash blob. <3
