They have modified everything and officially created the final version of the Comic Con poster for everyone to divulge in.
There are multiple versions, some with border/comic con text, some without any of that stuff.
The Deviant Art version is 5k resolution this time around, meaning it should actually load on lower end computers. The actual 30k file is still fully available for the new revisions though.
Everything can be found on the Deviant Art page specifically created for this one poster.
These guys deserve a lot of praise. This is something you could bring to a poster shop and have printed out as a massive poster for your room, rivaling even the Comic Con versions.

"It has been confirmed by a member of the show's production staff that one of the characters in the balloon in the original poster is indeed Cherry. Likewise, it has been confirmed by the same production member that the balloon's other occupant is an official character. However, this mystery second character is an as-of-yet unreleased Season 2 pony and cannot be revealed at this time, for legal reasons."

According to the Friendship is Magic wiki, Cherry is a pink background pony that owns a cherry fruit shop in Ponyville.

People are bitching about OC ponies in the balloon? Incredible. If someone puts the huge amount of work necessary into converting the poster into these images as this, they should be allowed to indulge themselves a little.
Dissing work like this because an outline color is darker than "approved"... that's just plain low.
Ease up, people. Stuff like this exists as a labor of love, not as an entitlement.
Unfortunately we jumped the gun -- there are still some errors that need correcting.
I will also be releasing wallpaper sized versions as well, in 16:10 and 16:9 flavors.

There is nopony in the balloon. I just zoomed in on the picture so I could view the balloon. There was no outlines of anything. Do its just a stray balloon

The preview Seth posted is an older version; not the latest. If you check the two most recently posted images on the dArt account, the balloon has two passengers.

This is so cool and I love looking at this work in progress. ^_^
I noticed the color thing going on in Twilight's face too, and Celestia has a big smudge on her nose. That smudge may have been meant to be a shadow, except I don't see any other matching shadows on her body.
The artist who made the original poster stated clearly here on EqD that Cherry (in the balloon) was wearing a pair of aviator goggles. I understood that the goggles were on a hat on her head. Would you like me to ferret out the quote? It wouldn't be hard, all I'd have to do is search for "Frith" in the first post about the Comic Con poster a few weeks back.
What's so special about Cherry? How come she gets to go in the balloon? I mean, I have nothing against her but she's never done anything more than Colgate or Berry Punch. I mean she wasn't even named or had any speaking lines. Does this mean they have plans for her in the new season?
I still say Caramel should be there instead of Rainbow Day (whose name like nobody knew before this poster came out XD).
So this is my first time ever looking at the characters in the poster. How is Luna in the top left and the shadow bolts in the group? The shadow bolts are not real ponies, they were just nightmare moons magic trying to trick ranbowdash.
Well, I will be grabbing this new version for sure, but I will be keeping the original just to spite all of you, because you deserve it. :3

If they can't reveal the pony's real name due to legal reasons, it must be safe to say he won't be known as Orion anymore.
I'm glad. The OC drama should subside, and the vectorizers should get the credit they deserve. All will be right with the world.

On the original official image, the second one looked like that white unicorn with pink hair that's next to Cherry in http://images.wikia.com/mlp/images/9/9e/Cherry_id.png and other screenshots, but wearing a cap.

It is a secret, which is why I substituted in "Orion" instead. It IS a season two character in the original poster. That is a confirmed fact. I actually did get a decent description of what the character looks like and it doesn't sound like the character looks anything like the fan speculations, save for the fact that he's wearing a brown hat and is white, but that was already known if you looked closely enough at the original image.
I decided to just use a different character since if I made a pony based on the description i was given it would still technically be an OC since I didn't actually get to see the character with my own eyes and I'm not going to make one up based off a written description, however detailed it may be.
I also didn't put the hat and goggles on Cherry since again, I didn't want to basically make them up as far as how they look. Cherry also has her hooves hanging out of the basket in the real poster but I just didn't really have it in me anymore to work on the poster further.
OH GOD CELESTIA'S LEG PLEASE MAKE IT STOP
